Loved the card. I love candy canes to eat and to decorate. I love the traditional red and white but the flavored ones are favorites with the children. I prefer the larger and sometimes use the smaller ones to decorate gifts. Enjoy the blessings of the season, friends and family together.
I love candy canes, eating them and decorating with them. The bigger ones are best, peppermint and cherry are my favs, but love many other flavors too. Red and black buffalo plaid is my wardrobe this time of year! Shoes, cap, and a couple different shirts as well. Love the card, the white stitching set it off just right!
I am a traditional candy cane girl -- not a fan of the little ones except that they are easier to eat! I like putting the candy canes on my tree but nobody else in my family likes them so I end up wasting them! Although I have saved them from year to year as decorations and they get icky after a while! :) Here's the story -- when I was little I ALWAYS got sick over Christmas vacation and I ALWAYS got a candy cane to make me feel better, so I associate candy canes with comfort. It's not Christmas without them. I kinda don't like adulterating them with all the other colors and flavors for that reason too.
I do love peppermint bark. Candy canes are a true Christmas treat that conjures up happy childhood memories. I love your card and the white stitching just makes it. great job!
Love your card! It screams a Kristina Werner card with the white stitching. Candy Canes...I love candy canes on the tree. I think they are so pretty. I am an original red and white stripe lady for eating and decorating. I guess for purchasing, I lean toward the box on candy canes as opposed to the string of them that you cut apart. I do remember receiving a very large round one, like a solid inch around, from Santa Clause as a little girl. That took a month to eat and we had to break it in pieces as it was too large to fit in any of our mouths.
What a great card - everything about it says snuggly winter (especially here in NH)! I love candy canes - eating them, decorating with them, peppermint bark, adding them to cookies - all of it!!!
This card looks like a perfect journal cover or little notebook. I love candy cane everything. Big, small, fruity, traditional, any candy candy is pretty great. A mini candy cane is fun in hot cocoa!!!
How very pretty. I like the bigger wrapped candy canes that can be hung on the tree. I am a traditionalist; I like the red and white peppermint flavor.
Love buffalo plaid and candy canes. I like mini candy canes in my hot cocoa. I also like to buy crushed candy cane to sprinkle on top. My daughter likes the various flavors.
I love this card. As for candy canes. I love the normal white, green and red striped canes. On my big tree I put the big canes and the little tree gets little canes. They are usually just decorative but if someone snitched one it’s fine. I have a strange ritual for Christmas morning ONLY. My brother and I used to get up open our stockings, eat a candy cane then the Christmas orange from our stocking, go brush our teeth. Open the rest of our gifts. Then dad would make either festive pancakes/waffles or cream of wheat porridge with strawberries and whipped cream and sprinkle a tiny bit of crushed up peppermint bark on it. Was the best ever. I still to this day eat the cane, orange and brush my teeth before opening gifts. And make peppermint bark and candy cane crunch fudge. (My husband won’t touch it cause he dislikes mint)…. More for me!
I love peppermint candy canes of any size & your card! I also love the red & black buffalo plaid. I was thinking a Mery Chritmas card for grandsons! I love the acetate panel. Thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful card as always you make it look so easy. Candy canes are a yes for me, the fruit flavored are my favorite, peppermint is good for after meals for sure. The candy canes also bring back so many childhood memories, love to see them used in crafty table arrangements as well. Thanks for all you do.. Happy Crafting
Love the card, buffalo plaid is so traditional & graphic. I just like to look at candy canes. I like the traditional red & white ones. I buy the mini size to fill a clear glass tree shaped container.
Very cute & fun card! I like the cheater fudge recipe that’s basically just sweetened condensed milk & baking chips of your choice. One of the varieties I make with it is white peppermint, with crushed candy canes in the fudge & on top to make it pretty & festive. I prefer the traditional candy canes on my tree, but when my kids were home, I would buy the various flavors that they actually liked. 😊❤️
No peppermint bark here. I do like candy canes and now a days they have so many to pick from. I do hang them on the tree and the kids come over and grab one here and there lol... when they were younger I couldn't hang them till right before Christmas or they would eat them lol... I love this card!! Great idea with the window. All your cards are my favorite!
Huge fan of Buffalo check as well. The card is awesome. I have e that die that says warm hugs I like to put with backgrounds that look like sweaters or blankets. Ok candy canes. On my tree I only want red n white. Or the ones I have made from clear pearlescent beads. I do love the flavored candy canes though and now they truly have a large selection. When my kids were smaller I used to crochet little horse heads on them to look like a horse on a stick. My kids loved to share them with their friends. I miss them be little and home around the holidays. Our youngest is 32 now and they are all so busy, there is no time for us.
Fun card, Kristina! We always end up being given candy canes, but they never get eaten! My husband did make peppermint ice cream this year and we crushed candy canes and put them in too! Yum!!!!
I love buffalo plaid as well. For clothing, home decor, and now for making cards. I don't especially like to eat candy canes but I make a Christmas cake that is a chocolate peppermint cake with cream cheese frosting and you put crushed candy canes around the sides as a decoration. It looks so pretty and festive. And it tastes fabulous. I add a little snowman and snowwoman on top as an additional decoration.
I love this card with the red buffalo plaid. When my siblings and I were kids, our mom made us horses out of felt and you would stick the candy cane up inside and then hang it on the tree. We ate them when we were kids but I haven't eaten one in years. Might have to buy one this year and add it to my hot chocolate.
The white dashes make all the difference. Such a cue card! I like the red and white candy canes but only eat them maybe once a year. They are messy to eat. I love the regular size ones. They’re cute as decorations. The other flavors don’t cut it!
Great Christmas card series. Love candy canes to eat, for decor and all sizes. Love traditional peppermint the best do enjoy some others on occasion as well.
When I was growing up, we always had the larger candy canes on our tree. I think Daddy ate them more than anyone else, though! My brother & SIL still hang them on one of their trees - out of reach of their 2 dogs, of course. Mama & I don't have them anymore, though. Not that we have anything against them; we just don't end up eating them. I much prefer the Ghirardelli peppermint bark-with-chocolate squares personally. SOOOOO delicious!!!!!!!!! Of course, as long as it doesn't have nuts or nut butters (allergies) or is too dark (80%+ cacao is way too bitter for me!), I love pretty much anything chocolate. LOL I do really like your card, Kristina! It looks so cozy, and the dashed lines finish it off just right. Thank you for sharing. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
love candy canes flavor and appearance! I have not made peppermint bark, but now that you mentioned it, I may look for a recipe. Sounds wonderful! I have really been enjoying your series. I do not usually get to see the LIVE version, but enjoy watching it. Thanks so much for sharing!
I love the buffalo check card you made. Candy canes for me is a visual thing, I am not too much of a sweet person (except I love chocolate) - so the large candy canes are better for me as to being visual. I prefer the traditional red and white peppermint smell. Thank you for all your helpful hints in all of your videos
I used to like peppermint candy canes but as I’ve gotten older not such a fan. But where we live they have some that are cherry but they are so big that I’ve not tried them! Maybe this year. Loved the card. Super cute.
I love your card! I am all about ALL the Candy Canes...I mean, candy! My favorite cookies are Candy cane cookies... they have crushed candy canes on top... soooooo yummy!
I love how this card came together! Hmmmmm my candy cane relationship, I love using them to decorate, but I don't like eating them. I like the original red & white stripes.
Fab card! I don’t love candy canes to eat, but did use use the mini candy canes this year to make tags for a friend to use on her holiday tags. Positioned them together on craft tags to form candy cane hearts! To finish, I ran red Copic marker around perimeter and stamped a Sweet Treats message below the candy. Turned out real cute and super easy to make.
Love the card! I eat maybe one or two candy canes a Christmas season. We used to hang them on our tree every year but for some reason we stopped doing that.
Love this card. Love buffalo plaid. Candy canes! Well I make a chocolate chip cookie - like the Toll House recipe but I add Molasses, just brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, chili powder, instant coffee, ground oatmeal, pecans and 25 crushed small candy canes. I call it my adult chocolate chip cookie. It's amazing with the candy canes! Merry Christmas!
Love Buffalo Plaid, used it on last years Christmas cards, love your floating sentiment...will have to try that out! Yes, I make peppermint bark (to sell) I buy the peppermint candy bits pre-crushed in red and green. Think I've outgrown the canes for myself, but not for the grands. I prefer peppermint patties and mint hot chocolate.
Stunning, love it! That buffalo plaid is gorgeous! Never tried making Peppermint bark, but do love candy canes for Christmas, has to be the peppermint ones. We sit around enjoying those as we open pressies over Christmas day xoxo
I am just mesmerized by your card making specially the holiday card series. As far as candy canes I am a fan, prefer the original peppermint flavor but al like the colorful ones like a frutty flavor. I have made peppermint bark but have had it and do enjoy it but would prefer just a simple candy cane. Saludos from Guadalajara Mexico 🇲🇽👋🏽❤️
I am also a big fan of Buffalo plaid (especially red and black)! The floating sentiment is so fun :) As far as candy canes go I’m pretty traditional with red and white, larger size. I prefer to look at them rather than eat them but I have been known to use them as a stir stick with my hot chocolate!
I love the card! I think inside I'd do a folded insert of that paper so the knitted side shows behind the window and I can open it to write my message in. For candy canes, I like hanging one in hot chocolate, I enjoy them on their own and I have a couple of boxes of regular-sized ones that I hang on the tree every year. 😊🎄
Great card! I decorate with them and love to use the peppermint ones for stirring hot chocolate! Just bought some peppermint ice cream to sandwich between chocolate cookies for a Christmas treat!
This card is lovely! As for candycanes ... LOVE them! Peppermint is my favorite flavor of candycane, but I've been known to dabble in other flavors. I just bought some today, actually. And peppermint bark is a MUST. I've never made it, but I tend to consume plenty of it during the holiday season. :)
Love the card! I like the look of candy canes but really don't do peppermint anything. We did find Lifesaver Candy Canes a few years ago and one of my favorites in the mix is the yellow which is pineapple!
I absolutely love this card!! This is a super versatile design. I love peppermint bark and I do like candy canes. That includes the peppermint flavored and the fruit flavored ones! I don’t really decorate with them but I buy them in the package so they are individually wrapped because I do attach them to Christmas cards that I give in person. 😊
Such a sweet card! I like the visual of candy canes, but I don't like peppermint UNLESS it is peppermint bark. I know, it doesn't make sense. I guess the chocolate saves it.
I love this card. There's just something about a good Buffalo check that I love at Christmas time. I'm not a fan of the taste of traditional candy canes. I'm thinking about making polymer clay ones to hang on the tree.
I love candy canes, but didn’t like to eat them until I became an adult. When my brother and I were growing up, our “old maid” great aunt use to always bring rice krispy treats, and a great big straight candy cane that was about 1” around and 12” long (as I recall - that was in the 50’s and early 60’s). My mother never made rice krispy treats, so we didn’t eat them - never knew what we were missing out on! My mother was the only person to eat that candy cane, and it took her about 3 months to finish. I often wonder if she did that out of obligation - she grew up in the depression. Do they still make those huge candy canes? It has been so long since I went into a store, that I don’t even know. I buy 95%(or more) of everything on line, or my daughter-in-law picks it up for me! If I eat anything other than a peppermint candy cane, I buy them from Hammond Candy Co in Denver.
Love the card and the addition of the sweater paper on the inside is really pretty. I'm not a huge fan of eating candy canes but I have some beautiful glass ones that I put on my tree.
That buffalo check stamp is amazing! I saw the thumbnail and wondered 'how did she die cut flannel?!!' As to candy canes -Yes Please! Any shape, any size, any time! Peppermint's best, but Jolly Rancher canes are good too! Also my favorite tree decoration, either real or as painted ornaments!
Beautiful card!! Umm 🤔 standard size candy cane for sure, and definitely for decoration purposes… not a huge fan of them for eating. Peppermint bark yes 👏🏼!!
Great card! You inspired me to get out my plaid stencil and do some tone on tone blending (fired brick over school house red). I like to decorate with candy canes and I never get to eat them because my daughter scarfs them. I prefer melts.
First - that blue sweater looks amazing on you! Second- I love all things Buffalo plaid!! All if my holiday decor is Buffalo plaid- your card is so perfect. Not a big fan of candy canes- unless it’s a candy cane martini!!
I love everything about this card! And the rounded corners give it such a nice finished look. As for candy canes, not so much but peppermint bark is a definite yes! I can’t believe how fast time is going by. Thank you for all your beautiful videos and hard work. I really appreciate you! ❤️
Candy Canes are just colorful and cute for decorations but really dislike its flavor! 🤣🤣 or the taste of it! Cute card, look forward to the next one thanks and take care!
Loved the card. I love candy canes to eat and to decorate. I love the traditional red and white but the flavored ones are favorites with the children. I prefer the larger and sometimes use the smaller ones to decorate gifts. Enjoy the blessings of the season, friends and family together.

Red and black buffalo plaid is my wardrobe this time of year! Shoes, cap, and a couple different shirts as well. Love the card, the white stitching set it off just right!
Love candy canes. Hooked on Williams-Sonoma peppermint bark. Dryer’s candy cane ice cream.
I am a traditional candy cane girl -- not a fan of the little ones except that they are easier to eat! Love peppermint but not crazy about candy canes…just like to look at em..🤣🤣

How very pretty. I like the bigger wrapped candy canes that can be hung on the tree. I am a traditionalist; I like the red and white peppermint flavor.
I love the traditional candy canes and Santa puts a big one in the kids stockings. None foe the trees though! Peppermint bark is the best!!
Love buffalo plaid and candy canes. I like mini candy canes in my hot cocoa. I also like to buy crushed candy cane to sprinkle on top. My daughter likes the various flavors.
I love to use candy canes as stir sticks in hot chocolate! Big ones of course!
I love candy canes and I love eating them during the holiday season. I like the little candy canes and the thick, big candy canes.
Candy canes can be cute, peeking out of the top of a stocking, the little ones on a tree... but I don't eat them. Loved your card!
Love candy canes to eat and use as decorations. Any size will do but peppermint only as a flavor.
Yes, love candy canes, peppermint bark and Blue Bell peppermint ice cream only available during the holidays
I love this card. As for candy canes. I love the normal white, green and red striped canes. On my big tree I put the big canes and the little tree gets little canes. Candy canes... Red and white on the tree, fruit flavors to eat!
You’re so clever to add the white dash. A detail that just brings the card to life. Note to self: think like Kristina does!!
I love peppermint candy canes of any size & your card! I also love the red & black buffalo plaid. I was thinking a Mery Chritmas card for grandsons! I love the acetate panel. Thanks for the inspiration!

Love the card, buffalo plaid is so traditional & graphic. I just like to look at candy canes. I like the traditional red & white ones. I buy the mini size to fill a clear glass tree shaped container.
I buy my candy canes from a place that makes them fresh. The whole candy shop smells so good when they make them and they taste awesome.
Very cute & fun card! I like the cheater fudge recipe that’s basically just sweetened condensed milk & baking chips of your choice. My favorite are cherry flavored candy canes.
Such a cute card! I like traditional candy canes (I hang wrapped ones on my tree) and use them as stirrers in my peppermint tea.
Like peppermint bark. So pretty. Like to make it with the other types of candy canes. Wonderful cards. Thank you for your time in making these.
Love plaid and that card was wonderful. I love peppermint candy canes but the other flavors are yucky!
candy canes, love them on my tree, when our company leaves they get a candy cane to take off the tree, I prefer the cinnamon to eat...
I love this card so much!!!
I prefer the regular red-and-white candy canes, especially crushed up in ice cream or sticking out of my hot cocoa ♡
I love buffalo plaid as well. For clothing, home decor, and now for making cards. I don't especially like to eat candy canes but I make a Christmas cake that is a chocolate peppermint cake with cream cheese frosting and you put crushed candy canes around the sides as a decoration. My favourite Christmas treat is (dark) chocolate covered orange peel & of course dark fruit cake
I love this card with the red buffalo plaid. When my siblings and I were kids, our mom made us horses out of felt and you would stick the candy cane up inside and then hang it on the tree. Great Christmas card series.

Love that floating greeting!!💕 I stick regular peppermint candy canes in my cup of tea at Christmas time
I just love that die! Really like the white gel pen faux stitching effect.
love candy canes flavor and appearance! I have not made peppermint bark, but now that you mentioned it, I may look for a recipe. Sounds wonderful! I have really been enjoying your series. I do not usually get to see the LIVE version, but enjoy watching it. Thanks so much for sharing!

😍sweet! i like mini candy canes stirred/melted into a mocha latte!😋
Thank you❣️
Beautiful card! I love everything about candy canes - decorating with them, eating them, small, large, love ‘em all! And I love peppermint bark!
What an awesome card. So simple but so pretty. Thanks for the inspiration Kristina!
Cute card! I like small red and white peppermint candy canes in hot cocoa.
I used to like peppermint candy canes but as I’ve gotten older not such a fan. But where we live they have some that are cherry but they are so big that I’ve not tried them! Maybe this year. Loved the card. Super cute.
Really like candy canes, especially the flavored ones, had my granddaughters put in their hot chocolate in the mornings
I love this card! It is so dimple yet elegant as well!
Love your work Kristina. this card is so simple but stunning. Thank you for sharing it.
She used the tags on her holiday baked goods*
Love. It looks like a book cover.
Beautiful cute card. I love flavored candy canes.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
Love the card. I have a fuzzy jacket in that color! Also love candy canes and use them in my choc. cookie frosting
Only like the look of them, candy canes are way too sweet for me 😋
I am just mesmerized by your card making specially the holiday card series.

Love Buffalo plain so this card is a winner for me. Not so much with the candy cane. I like the look of them on my tree but eh on eating them.
Love plaid all year!
This card is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Never had a candy cane in my life. Although they do have them in the UK, I am guessing they might be more popular in the USA x
I put the candy in hot chocolate. Yum!
Peppermint kisses for me, but I use the candy cane chain for my home made hot chocolate.😋🤗
Lovely card! I like to put a small candy cane into my tea or hot chocolate. Quite tasty!
Great card. I love Buffalo Check. Used it on last years Christmas cards. TFS
Beautiful card!! Umm 🤔 standard size candy cane for sure, and definitely for decoration purposes… not a huge fan of them for eating. Peppermint bark yes 👏🏼!!
When I seen the thumbnail, I though you used real flannel! So cute and your sweater is adorable ☺️!
Wonderful card!👏🏼❤️ I hang candy canes on my tree.
A lovely different type of Christmas card Kristina. Candy canes, traditional red and white peppermint for me! Watch your teeth!!!!
This is such a lovely and cozy card!
Wow love this card.. thanks Kristina 💕
Such a clean and pretty card! Love the floating evfet
I like the visual but will only eat that flavour Christmas time
Love your card ~ Candy canes, not so much.
I love everything about this card! And the rounded corners give it such a nice finished look. As for candy canes, not so much but peppermint bark is a definite yes! I can’t believe how fast time is going by. Thank you for all your beautiful videos and hard work. I really appreciate you! ❤️
So nice. Thanks for your creative work.

Candy Canes are just colorful and cute for decorations but really dislike its flavor! 🤣🤣 or the taste of it! Cute card, look forward to the next one thanks and take care!
