- Here is my last weekend of sanity before starting nursing school! I take you guess along as I cram to get my life together, spend time with friends, and tell you all about orientation at nursing school. It's crazy that I'm typing this after I have already survived my first week of school...I know it's going to be so much work, but also go by so quickly so I'm just trying to soak up every second. Nursing School tip for you (from someone who just graduated in nursing school!!!!): if your professors provide you with slides, def print them out before class and write down notes as they’re going over them in class. Also, I would recommend reading AFTER class/lectures. I found that reading before lectures of the stuff that would be discussed made me really confused about the material. Reading after allows you to already have an idea of the material and it’s more so of a more in depth explanation. Sorry if that was a lot lol!!!
I think something that I would want to tell my younger self is “your worth is not defined by the people around you and how they treat you.” 💜

I'm starting med school next month, I don't know a soul so I totally feel the fear of not having any friends! You are going to be an amazing nurse, I am so happy for you! Best of luck this school year

I remember meeting with the vendor from the iClicker company at my last job I had at university and testing the clickers before they were used by the faculty. Luckily none of my professors made us buy one because by then I was in grad school and our classes were quite small.

It is so crazy because ive been following you for years and I was in the same situation a few months ago on not knowing what I was going to do with my life and I couldnt get a job anywhere and herd we are! I would tell my younger self to relax and chill out more because everything is going to be exactly what it needs to be at that time and … that no degree of worrying or anxiety is going to make it something it’s not meant to be. I love how you are already standing in the future and imagining what you will have accomplished a year from now. You got this kido. Just lean in and have fun becoming exactly who you are meant to be.

The Saunders NCLEX Prep book is also a great tool to use to study for classes. It contains all material for every nursing school class and has test prep questions.

Hi friend! Idk if you remember me from a couple of months ago, I told you that I was visiting Eugene and asked for good spots/recommendations! WELL, I went to a ton of the places you recommended and I had the time of my life. Oregon is absolutely beautiful, we went hiking on three different trails and I got amazing photos. I'd tell my younger self "Don't worry about everything so much, you dont have to cry about the grades less than an A, everything will be fine. You will have great friends who you can talk to about anything. And you'll know the answer to that nagging question (the question is confidential)."
