I think she really did because her 3 songs described her 3 phases of her career. First she was happy and stuff and tried her best to make her dreams come true after some time she realizes that the joy of her idol life isn't fulfilling her and in the end she discovers that she loves kiryu as her father and don't want to be without him and thats why she quit the scene to be with him and her family again
I cried so hard after finishing this. Because 1) I was so proud of my daughter for getting this far and winning it and 2) those lyrics man. 😭😭 Even Kiryu would be reduced to a blubbering mess. Or, probably especially Kiryu. "We're not together, I don't know how far away you are, But there's one thing that keeps me going inside, I'm not lonely because, You're always here in my heart" I mean man if that isn't directly for him...
Ryosuke Horii did a really good job on these lyrics. On all three songs of this part. They sound like pop music while being very relevant to the story.
Having finished this part of Yakuza 5 remastered I can say that while this song doesnt slap like the other two did, it's very nice and emotional and fits the scene. The entirety of T-Set's management tried to play some dirty tricks on her from T-Set tripping her to their manager trying to bully her. She did as Kiryu taught her to do and stayed her course, stayed her way. She very much could've settled scores in many ways but let her own skill handle things. Whether T-Set was ever sincere afterwards with her or not, the truth is that would be nowhere without Haruka.
Haruka is sweet and innocent enough 😊 I was playing her when she was at the finals of that princess talent and that song got me all teary 😭 they know how to pull the ol' heart strings 😊 gotta love Yakuza series can't wait for Yakuza 6 to come out 😁😎
Me too it's like we can feel her pain after all she came from the orphanage in Okinawa she had a tough life 😔 and being Kiryu's somewhat daughter it's no surprise being part of the Tojo family 🤔
I actually think the ending of 6 directly contradicts the ending of 5. You thought by the end of 5 Kiryu learned that he should be with those he cares about no matter what, but then in 6 he's absent and then faking his death to be alone.
Playing through 5 right now and seeing the romanized lyrics… T^T Y U DO DIS?! When they say “gAmE mUsIc IsNt ReAl MuSiC”, tell them say that after playing RGG 5.
I Haven’t Done It Yet But I Think You Have To Go To Yoko And Continue Training With Her Until Your Idol Heat Rises Not Sure If I’m Right But That’s What I Think
You need to raise the Dyna Chair rank high enough to get the Handmade Bracelet through fan mail and equip it. The 3 hearts naturally available should be more than enough to win the Princess League though as long as you've done all of Yoko's training and enough side missions to raise her stats to a decent level (you'll know you're ready if Christina says you can win as long as you don't make major mistakes).
I'm a little late but my brother walked in when I was fighting the bear with Saejima and asked me what game was that, I said "Yakuza 5". Then he walked in on me during Haruka's third round, and I said: "Yep, it's the same game where I fought a a bear with my bare hands...". Felt a little ashamed but damn, it's such a good chapter.

Why couldn't Haruka be a fighter i mean fucking look at miss tatsu she doesn't have that much muscle (at least that's visible) and is the Master of the beast style i mean she MUST have picked something up from Kiryu
Because she doesn't desire to. She never showed any interest in fighting and Kiryu wouldn't want to teach her when he actively made an effort to keep the dark aspects of his and her past out of Haruka's life. Her being a fighter would be heavily out of character for both her and Kiryu, being nothing but hollow wish-fulfilment.
Personally I didn't mind that Haruka's gameplay wasn't fighting. It was a nice change of pace and something new. I loved to play as Haruka, and during the game I couldn't wait to get to play as her again, even though everyone had a good story. And not getting into fights every 5 fucking seconds was *REALLY* nice. I could walk around the city in peace. The "constant" character switching was kind of annoying until the end though. At the point of starting with Shinada, I was pissed that I got switched away from Haruka. Very good game though. One of my favorite video games ever.
I guess all of that training Kiryu had her do at Karaoke paid off.
I'm glad all that 'Trust' grinding isn't for nothing after all.
