- In this video I will share tips on installing Humminbird Mega Live Active Target. I already have Mega 360 and we will be keeping it. This is not a step by step "How To". I do the install and share tips on what to look out for in regards to installation.

Equipment I use

I used those plastic spacers and a couple longer bolts that came in the bag and mounted my stabilizer bar in the same holes as before. And I didn't have to cut the rod
When you did the installation did you pull the target lock shaft (pole) out of the steering housing and then put the shaft back in and through the housing?
No. If you look at 7:32 in the video, I am working with the shaft and the motor housing is connected. I would not try to remove the shaft from the motor housing.
Did the manual tell you mega live transducer height vs mega 360 transducer height? I don’t have the target lock but I made my own and want to figure out what they suggest so I can clear my images up. Also what lift assist did you go with?
I do not have a lift assist. There is not a specified height recommended by Humminbird. They just need too be offset. That said, 360 sweeps, so I did not want the Mega Live transducer pole in the way of the 360, so my Mega transducer is higher than 360. If you look at 16:38 in the video, I made a slight adjustment and lifted my Mega transducer about another inch. Hope that helps. i got new mount assit lift and work great.
question for you on the new mount assist lift. looks like minnkota upgraded the strut and sells the whole new base.
Thanks for the video. What puck are you using? I can't get mine to sweep. I was told I need a ( as gps hs external gps receiver with heading sensor) but the hummingbird rep said my original Terrova puck was fine. What did you have to do to make the sweep operate? I don't even have sweep as an option in the menu..
Sorry for the delay in responding. So I have the Ultrex and I run Solix on the bow. I have the as gps hs external gps receiver with heading sensor. Off the top of my head, I would go through the setup process again for Active Target. You should be able to scan, target lock, etc. If you still struggle, feel free to call me and I will do what I can to help.
So I have mega live & 360 already….installing the targetlock, I only have one graph, do I have to get an Ethernet hub for the lock to work?
What do you have for electronics? Helix?? Solix??
