oh awesome, yeah ill use it for my travel videos, got my wedding and honeymoon in europe coming up soon, plus ill be taking it everywhere with me as my job as a flight attendant :) so excited
most people only watch on internet speeds up to 1080p which is still beautiful, with that mechanical gimbal it shows such smoothness for its size, i fly as a flight attendant so it will always be in my crew bag flying all over Australia. plus I've got my 2 month round the world honeymoon coming up so will be great to use it on that trip too, just follow the general common sense when it comes to flying and don't be stupid with safety of others and property, although i doubt this thing falling onto your head would be much more then a football hitting you, annoying but not going to knock you out
Looks like another gem from DJI. The features seen only in quads like the Phantom 4 in a tiny drone of this size. There really is no company even close to DJI right now. I love this company!

Does the Spark have the Fixed Wing flight mode ? Can the Spark be programmed with Waypoints and fly automatically like in the other phantoms ? Lastly does the Spark have the Flight Simulator in it ? Thanks
Don't forget the Spark not only is Mechanically stabilized but also digitally stabilized w/ their UltraSmooth technology mentioned on their website. I believe they're using the IMX377CQT Sony Cmos sensor which can film up to 4k 30fps but I'm not sure what this films at in order to crop to digitally aid the mechanical stabilization
PhM Decker It's the first time I'm hearing it. If it's true, it's really a turn-off for me to buy this product. I might go for the more expensive but more capable Mavic Pro then.

Hi Tom, (my first comment on RUclips ever) first of all congratulations for your very good review! I watched Casey's, iPhonedo's, and now your review, and yours is definitely the best one. You were the ONLY one who mentioned that the arms are not foldable and even added some more critical points I wasn't aware of! It would be great if you can answer some of my questions and I am sure it is also interesting for others! - Do you think the spark is good to travel with? Because of the unfoldable arms, it seems that transportation in a backpack without a hard case is much more dangerous for the drone. I could imagine a propeller or arm could break. The Mavic should be better in this regard, don't you think so!? - If you fold the Mavic, how big is it in comparison to the Spark? Of course, it is still higher but is it more compact for e.g. to just put it in a little backpack on top of your clothes without a case? (I think this is a way a lot of people would like to use it for outdoors.) Also, I am not sure if the lens of the Spark will be ok without a case. - As it doesn't have sensors on the side, isn't it dangerous to fly it in e.g. Heli Mode? Or does the Spark has a way to see such obstacles? I think the Mavic has such, I am not sure right now... - Is it possible that the features of the Spark (e.g. the Helix or Gesture Modes are added to the Mavic? Should be possible, as it is only software. Do you think they will do that? - I would like to make a scene where I drive with a motorbike on a road in the mountains and the drone first flies away from me (approx. 200-300 m) while showing the valley, horizon and me on the side of the picture. Then it flies to the front and catches me up. Is it even possible with the Mavic? Does Spark have even a chance to do something like this? If yes, probably I would need a remote control and then the price difference isn't that big anymore... It would be great if you could answer (at least some of) my questions! This might be cool for indoor flying at the gym to film other aircraft in flight. Too bad it doesn't support ocusync transmission so it would work with the Mavic controller.
Kenneth A well if you wanna make amateur movies I would go with the phantom 3 standard, because of the better video quality, 3-axis gimbal and longer flight time

I think that can be attributed to the gimbal being only two-axially stabilised.
