I've finally got around to watching all these videos. Looks awesome! Can't believe how much of this stuff I have no idea about. We've just started trying to grow our own vegetables, little things but it's a start
Looks like a great method; thanks for sharing! I've been watching the Way Out West videos on biochar, and Tim usually "quenches" the charcoal with water, which he says makes it better for biochar. It might be worth experimenting with.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, Ive seen people do that as well, I like the idea but not sure of the science behind it. It might be right, but I didn't want to put it in my vid just because other people did.
Thanks Nick! The vegetables are certainly growing well in the soil we dug it through. Now I'm trying to find a larger vessel to put in the 44gal drum to make more each time.
Hi Zina, we do when we are putting it directly onto the plants, just mixing with water into watering can. However, when it gets soaked into the charcoal and put into the soil it is being released slowly into the ground when it rains or when we water. That's my theory anyway 😅, I've never done any scientific tests to prove it. However the results have been good, the soil and vegetables are happier with the biochar mixed in.
@@cornerstonevalley - I'm not a gardener and I don't have a Homebiogas system (yet); but I've heard that it had to be diluted. I hope your experiment works well. Updates are always helpful.
Family working in nature !
Thanks Paul! We love it here.

Wow! So glad you're enjoying them! That's a big effort, thank you. Good luck with your veggies! We all start little, and we never stop learning.
That liquid fertiliser will go great around your trees to Ned.
Thanks Steven, we use it about 10/1 with water.
Ned, your videos are getting better and better!
Thanks Jason! I'm glad you're enjoying them.
Love it!
Thanks Lachy!
That is going to improve your soil so much! Keep it up mate! 👍🏻
Thanks Steve!
Ha ha ha 😂 love the worm at the end wriggling towards the bio-char !! Great vid, well done from one Aussie to another 😊
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.

Wow, that's a great way to supercharge your biochar. You could make extra, you could sell that for a decent $$.

I thought you had to dilute the liquid fertilizer because it's very concentrated.
