The fact that the Met Gala calls itself a "charity" is just so hypocritical... Like let's bring together rich people to give money to rich organizations... ugh
I hope you do realise that the people who work in museums and those responsible for preserving art and fashion collections are actually regular, non-rich people and the entire point of the Met Gala is to drive money to the Costume Institute so that those people can keep their jobs and continue preserving over 30,000 items from 7 centuries.
@@laryodaily I'm not saying the museum doesn't deserve to be preserved, but I think there are charities that do far more impactful work across the globe that don't get nearly as much attention or funding as they should

Ok but have you seen Harvey Guillén’s look?!? It was absolutely stunning AND he took a piss towards Karl Lagerfeld which I LOVED. Nailed the theme, no boring black look; absolutely slayed
as a fellow fashion lover (who has literally NO credentials) here's some of my favorites :) for men: BRIAN TYREE HENRY CAME THROUGH. he looked really amazing, honestly loved it. i was pretty intrigued by olivia rodrigo, but I really wish the string had a pattern yk? like the string went into swirls or smth bc it just looked a litlle messy :/ teyana taylor ate it up, no surprise there cardi b is hella underrated for her met looks. i heard a few ppl say that her pink look (she wore it before the met gala, but it still kinda was for the met) was too repeated bc she's done something similar in red but i die for it everytime and i thought her met gala look (the karl suit inspired + camelia hoop skirt) was really beautiful and one of my favorites. also underrated, janelle monae. her met look wasn't my favorite but she also has never taken herself too seriously and honestly her fashion looks for red carpets are always really fun to me. they draw you in and shes just a really unique character with hella good fashion taste. love love loved doja's, very beautiful and incredibly unique jenna really impressed me, wish there was a more interesting hairstyle though. BUT WOW THE CONSTRUCTION?? i really love outfits that have structure. anne hathway is such mother, she looks really beautiful, but she wasn't my best dressed :/ (BUT MOTHER) (same with florence) billie's was good, it was really nice, i'm just happy she's reaching into more looks and not sticking to one look yk. (same with gigi) emma chamberlain... she's beautiful but i wasn't a fan (same with that levitating girl) rihanna is mother so i really can't negatively comment on her ever. my favorites :))) HALLE BAILEY, IDC THAT WAS SO DAMN PRETTY YARA SHAHIDI (so so so pretty, she usually dresses pretty underwhelming but that was so breathtaking) ANOK YAI (bbg legit blinded me with her jaw-dropping skin, and the outfit was v etheral) CARDI B (i loved it sm tbh) SORA CHOI (so so so so interesting and it rlly drew me in) LIU WEN (probably my top two w/ yara's look, usually im not into minimalistic pieces but this was so beautifully beautiful, im at a lost of words) BRIAN TYREE HENRY (v beautiful, nothing more to say but so so nice)
