I have a feeling these 3: Ali, Harry and Danny are stalkers for Thailang tourism. They just go neighborhoods and video and pick the not so nice area here and there. They keep mentioning a place in Thailand, they will say kind of like Chang Mai, they’re always comparing it to Thailand. Of course, it’s after the pandemic, businesses are just now picking up the pieces and tourism has just been opened. But, makes me wonder how can you go to El Nido without doing the Island Hopping that’s were you will see the beauty and wonders of El Nido, it’s a different experience, but all they’re doing is walk around town to show all it is are t-shirt shops and close businesses…it is not. Well said. Most of the places in the PH have its own set of standards and levels catered to different status in life from budget-friendly to more luxurious things and comfort. Plenty to choose from so people from different levels in life have choices depending on their tight budget. El Nido/Coron have affordable and luxurious resorts serving penny-wise people and wealthy tourists, respectively. And just a friendly advice though, don't take your time spending on areas where even us Filipinos have no plans and intentions visiting those back alleys and slums, for safety concerns. Same thing in US and in any parts of the world where ghetto and blighted areas are not as friendly areas as what it seem to be. Every country in the world has its bad side and don't take an opportunity to taste that bad side. Enjoy you stay, man!
Honestly Ali, your statement was kind of confusing also. A bit funny for me. What you don't like about El Nido being too touristy is maybe the same reason why you got interested to visit the place anyway and is probably the same reason why the place naturally developed to cater to the needs of the visitors and for me that's what also make the place more convenient to visitors because they can have access to a lot of stuff they might need in their visit. The good thing is you're not restricted to enter in the locals areas however don't be too careless because you might ran into bad people which is of course a possibilty. I would advice for you not to penetrate the interior parts of the slums and squatter areas for safety reasons. You're a very firendly person always wanting to interact with the locals ad I think that's great but please stay on the.more safer areas.

Visit! Negros Oriental and Occidental, Siquijor, and Bohol (Central Visayas Region is one of the best land and water beauties in the PH) I recommend you to go there as long as the weather is good then everything is great! Go there and, you have a lot to visit and enjoy the time.

This is due not only to Typhoon Odette but to 2 years of lock down and restrictions in travel. Many small businesses have failed. Victims of Covid. If you want unspoiled beauty off the unbeaten path visit southern Leyte or eastern Samar. These are places that only draw local tourists but are unbelievably beautiful. There are many beautiful places here and you could spend months even years and not see them all. I really recommend Vigan City as it is really a beautiful example of Spanish colonial architecture and really awesome seafoods. Good travels, Mark in Samar

Go Ali Go! ✊ I suggest going to Batanes and Siargao for your next trip. Those places are not too commercialized. You can look it up to have an idea. 🥰 When you go to Palawan you have to do the island hopping tours because that's the best thing to do there and mostly the reason why people go there. ☺
Guys you should go to SIARGAO ISLAND. Its in the north eastern part of MINDANAO. Beautiful island w/ beautiful people. Experience island hoping & surfing. Foriegners enjoy the simple life there infact a couple from England w/ thier daughter enjoy life there for 2 past yrs already when pandemic started until now.

When people say "Palawan" it's always about the beaches and Islands and yes that is heaven on earth and not the business town Ali hahaha. Many years from now, that little town of commercialized streets of El Nido will be filled with restaurants, shops, motels, etc. That is a business streets and that is just normal since many tourist come to Palawan. Don't focus on that, because many people love the crowded vibe as well, especially the nightlife. I don't consider that as negative since business is also needed in order for people to survive. But if you are not into those kind of things, there are many options for you to pick that is not touristy. Palawan is huge, there are so many islands, beaches and places around that is not touristy just like the boutique hotel you went to last time. You just need to pick your style and preference.

Amanpulo is the best Island in Palawan but it's a very premium and luxury island. That island is I believe the kind of island you're looking for its not touristy. Every Filipino knows that is the top destination in Palawan.

I have one idea for you (and this is a very Filipino thing) - Cock fighting in the Philippines, spider fighting, and around the September timeframe, filipinos for some reason fly kites. You'll see a lot of kids around that month making kites and flying them. It's a special country and the people are super friendly. Because of your videos, I plan on visiting next year! Try the Tour Package A/B/C, a yacht luxurious experience and glamping at El Nido/Coron so you will have a treasured memories in Palawan. Honestly, your vlogs in Palawan and Cebu were boring. It's not appealling though.

Attention Palawan LGU: please repair the roads, it’s bad. I think it’s muddy when it rains. Yes you are right the beach side or outside town it’s beautiful!
Visit also the beautiful falls around the Philippines. In Iligan City in Mindanao you can find there the Maria Cristina and Tinago falls which were considered the famous.

People go to Palawan for the island/beach hopping experience and not for a tour around the neighborhood, that is why El Nido/Coron is tops on the travel publication Conde Nast and other sites list as most beautiful island/s.....several times in the past several years. Other well established "touristy" countries couldn't make that claim.
A lot of touristy area do cater for tourist that comes from all over the world, it comes with the territory and it helps the locals with whatever business they have to thrive, more business comes progress. And I know that you are all supporting big and small bussines and locals so thank you for that, but I'm like you I prefer the less touristy area, I'm claustrophobic so I get disoriented when I'm in a crowded place, but I know there's a lot of places like that are a little secluded. E Nido is such a beautiful place, but I agree with you it became a place where ugly buildings and narrow streets ruin the beauty of the beach and the island. I suggest you must see Baguio City before you leave the Philippines, and since you love to walk, go and visit Sagada. The three of you will love it!

Torrential rains happens around july to september as well as the typhoons in the northern part of the country. The rains goes south as the year ends. Mindanao gets the typhoons later of the year up to early january.
You don't go to El Nido just to visit the town. Tourists go there to go island hopping to see the most beautiful islands, beaches and lagoons in the world. If you just have done island hopping, it would completely change your perspective about El Nido. It would have blown you away!
Mr Ali Machan I think u need to do the island hopping to complete your tour in Palawan.. then go to Siargao which is the best island dor Me. Then go to different places like in Mindanao, some parts in visayas like negros oriental and negros occidental.. u need to explore more so that u can see the real beauty in Philippines.. good luck and can’t wait to see more of your blogs..
Hey Ali! Your timing to visit El Nido was just after Covid. At that time lots of renovations were already in place because of some new regulations in the streets and on the beaches. El Nido had the similar issue like Boracay, where the new built constructions dumped the sewage in the ocean. It was also decided that buildings/constructions should have a certain distance from the shoreline. Few years ago the beach was at low tide completely occupied with dining tables and firedancers and other entertainment. All of that is forbidden now. So the activity at evenings and night changed to the streets, but they all suffered from Covid and many local owners (I know many of them) lost their businesses to rich foreigners unfortunately. In the end all investments are good for the local people tiil a certain extent. The islands and the lagoons are not getting bigger, so a bit of regulation is not bad at all. @Ali, please let me know if you want to know more (El Nido is my second home), and maybe I got another nice place for you to visit in Palawan and Phil. I have one idea for you (and this is a very Filipino thing) - Cock fighting in the Philippines, spider fighting, and around the September timeframe, filipinos for some reason fly kites. You'll see a lot of kids around that month making kites and flying them. It's a special country and the people are super friendly. Because of your videos, I plan on visiting next year! People go to Palawan for the island/beach hopping experience and not for a tour around the neighborhood, that is why El Nido/Coron is tops on the travel publication Conde Nast and other sites list as most beautiful island/s.....several times in the past several years. Other well established "touristy" countries couldn't make that claim.

A lot of touristy area do cater for tourist that comes from all over the world, it comes with the territory and it helps the locals with whatever business they have to thrive, more business comes progress. And I know that you are all supporting big and small bussines and locals so thank you for that, but I'm like you I prefer the less touristy area, I'm claustrophobic so I get disoriented when I'm in a crowded place, but I know there's a lot of places like that are a little secluded. E Nido is such a beautiful place, but I agree with you it became a place where ugly buildings and narrow streets ruin the beauty of the beach and the island. I suggest you must see Baguio City before you leave the Philippines, and since you love to walk, go and visit Sagada. The three of you will love it!

Torrential rains happens around july to september as well as the typhoons in the northern part of the country. The rains goes south as the year ends. Mindanao gets the typhoons later of the year up to early january.

You don't go to El Nido just to visit the town. Tourists go there to go island hopping to see the most beautiful islands, beaches and lagoons in the world. If you just have done island hopping, it would completely change your perspective about El Nido. It would have blown you away!

Hey Ali! Your timing to visit El Nido was just after Covid. At that time lots of renovations were already in place because of some new regulations in the streets and on the beaches. El Nido had the similar issue like Boracay, where the new built constructions dumped the sewage in the ocean. It was also decided that buildings/constructions should have a certain distance from the shoreline. Few years ago the beach was at low tide completely occupied with dining tables and firedancers and other entertainment. All of that is forbidden now. So the activity at evenings and night changed to the streets, but they all suffered from Covid and many local owners (I know many of them) lost their businesses to rich foreigners unfortunately. In the end all investments are good for the local people tiil a certain extent. The islands and the lagoons are not getting bigger, so a bit of regulation is not bad at all. @Ali, please let me know if you want to know more (El Nido is my second home), and maybe I got another nice place for you to visit in Palawan and Phil.
