June is and will always be my girl. ❤❤ She set the tone every single time. I miss her so much. That voice, her energy, everything! 🔥🔥 Rest peacefully, my Sagittarian sister. ♐
I don’t know why every time I get to the 2:08 mark, I get a bit emotional. I guess I just miss June’s presence and I miss seeing these three together (actually I miss the old times when they were a quartet too). I can’t quite put it into words. Yes the videos and memories are there, but it’s just not the same anymore not having June and Bonnie with us. 🌹🌹 So, whenever I see 2:08, there’s this bittersweet feeling that cannot be explained. When they sing together, it’s just pure magic. 💕 “When you are next to me, oh I come alive.” ✨ #Sisters
And now Anita’s gone and Ruth Ann is the sole original Pointer Sister left. God bless this family for giving us so many incredible soulful years of memories that live on today.
I'm a 70 year old man. So happy to share that I've been a fan of these three beautiful performers for many years! I love you Ruth, Ruth, RUTH!!! Let me admit that I'm now listening to this marvelous tune four the 8th time in a row, been dancing and jumping with all three sisters!
June... such a powerful beautiful voice. She made her own album titled '' Baby June " it was great had it on cassette... impossible to get now. On The Great album ( Stepping ) she recorded '' Wanting Things" a classic, she's greatly missed. 💝
Wow! This is one of the fastest versions of “Jump” I’ve heard them sing. I can’t believe Ruth is the only one left. I miss June’s infectious energy, Anita’s sultry vibes and Bonnie’s wild side. Love this group. Ruth we know you carry them with you and we love you!❤❤❤❤❤
its incredible to see the band enjoying themselves too...shout out to that bassist tho!!!! These girls are LEGENDS...RIP June & Bonnie... KEEP JUMPING, KEEP ROCKING IN HEAVEN!!!!
Super ,!
Love this and I love the Pointer Sisters! @Paul C, I know the audio is a little behind. I do have an edited version of the video with the audio synced. I can send it to you so you can re-upload it if you'd like! If not, it's fine! The video is still great!
Since the ladies always had matching clothing made for them I wonder if this is the concert Anita referred to where their clothes were lost and they went on with the clothing they had worn on their flight
Glad you are enjoying them! Other than my own collection, I search the internet...I have one concert that June owned and I bug Anita's former assistant to send me videos on occasion. :-) Trying to preserve the great performances of the Pointers!
Tell Anita's fmr assistant ( loved the Pointer sisters when I was a kid, especially Anita ) to try to get Ruth & Anita to go on Masked Singer. They still have such great vocal strength and ability, and I'd love to see them brought back to mass attention in such a format that would really allow them to remind the national audience of what epic singers they are.
I thought she wanted the band to wrap it up already. They were already more than a minute past the key change and they'd gone through the chorus at least three times. There's moments in there where Ruth and Anita both look frustrated or annoyed the band was still playing, and the "yeah!" that Ruth lets out when it finally ends also seems like a "thank goodness they finally stopped." I just don’t see how “bring it on down” could possibly mean “speed up” instead of “slow down” or “stop”.
@@MUSICENCYLOPEDIA her last performance was 2002 at the Capitol 4th of July. They did three songs and apparently did a handful of concerts afterwards. That was the last time she performaned with them.
They are absolutely on fire here 🔥

Her energy is analogous to Left Eye's eccentricities in TLC and Dawn Robinson's sensuality in En Vogue. Can't replace these energies!
@@wcwn3632Stop!! And Left Eye was my favorite from TLC. I swore I was her and June coming up. I still feel that way. 😂❤😂❤ Simply irreplaceable.
June was the ENERGY of the group, I wish all four of them of them would stayed together ❤...
Even tho I'm sure they did this song a million times they still always give it everything,, great vocal group!!!
Indeed. Noticed the same.

Man, day three and I keep on coming back. June carried this performance on her back and made the band keep up! Love it.
Dang, she is pushing them on the tempo isn't she.
JUNE IS MY FAVORITE PERIOD❤❤❤❤❤❤
The bass player was really feeling it with the improvising. Love it !
I truly miss June. She’s with the Lord. God bless this family.
Best girl group in history.... by far... and it's not even close.
Real LIVE singing with a band and sound just like the recording. SWEET!!!
June is killing it.
June was the main force pushing her sisters on to the tempo beat.
RIP 🙏 June Pointer
Ruth Pointer rocking her Diana Ross hair, looking good. The Pointer Sisters are really on fire.

Wonderful just fantastic performance just love these gals xx Always loved June thanks for the memories.
STILL love them👀
To me, it will always be these 3...
Good work Paul putting these great performers here for us all to really enjoy.
I just can never ever get enough
For me, this is fun listening!
Damn they got some voices in them!
June and Bonnie were the powerhouse lead vocalists. Drugs took them both. Sadly.
According to Wikipedia, June died of cancer
@@dlh975 brought on by years of smoking and drug use...according to Anita's book.
@@Heyjay454 And I think it was also hereditary because Anita’s daughter died of cancer also. And Anita got it back in 2010

Did yall catch Anita - "Bring it on Down", the band was dragging and they started singing FASTER. Love it.
Before I read the comments I said the drummer was off 😂

When was this filmed? June took this to a lower register and slayed her own song
1993
The ladies of nowdays have to learn from great singers as the pointer sisters, cyndi Lauper, pat benatar,...
✌🏽👌🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥
Was this June's last televised performance with her sisters? I thought she left the group in 1993 shortly before she passed away?

This isnt an easy song to sing
Way better than Beyonce and all the crap of now days

OF COURSE!!!!!
At the time this song was released Van Halen had a little song called “Jump” too. 😉
