- Now that I set Carly up with the Fluance RT85 turntable, it's time to release her into the wild to begin building her collection up. As her self-appointed cratedigging mentor, I brought her to one of my favorite spots in LA, Atomic Records, to look for some awesome albums to add to her collection.
After we finished at Atomic, Carly said we should go to Amoeba. She truly is a student of the Too Many Records school of thought. Enjoy our digs, and see what both of us find (including a grail for me!)

Some of the frames double up at times because of how I exported this, giving it a "laggy" visual appearance at times -- I figured out what was going on, but the fixed file got lost as I got rid of my old computer for the cross country move and forgot to re-upload the fixed version. Now you just need to find Secaucus. Nice get on The Meadowlands though. One of my top 10 albums ever probably. Never repressed, but they did release a new batch (lost in a warehouse or something, I don't know) in 2013, which is when I managed to grab mine from their site.

Nice deal on the Ryuichi! I got that when it was $30 😬 I have The Wrens - Meadowlands too, one of my fav records... was so shocked when it went up in price on discogs... I got 2 copies for $20 each in 2015... the second copy I gave to a friend. Now if only I could have the other Wrens album Secaucus 🤑

Wow the first record carly was looking closely at was steve miller's very first album done in the sixties on capital. I think what you were looking at carly was a reissue or second pressing but nevertheless is a beautiful album (with boz scaggs on vocals)

The Miniot Wheel turntable will mount on the wall with leads running down the wall to your amplifier and the spindle is also your control stick for the turntable, Rendezvous by John Michel Jarre is also good.

I liked Atomic. Dropped some cash there but it was well worth it.
Wish i had a vinyl buddy that could help hook me up with a better turntable, im using a cheap belt drive pl 600 pioneer that i have to clamp to the cabinet to allow the platter to spin without scraping the. Plastic plinth beneath it (platter isn't warped base is)
