  • Mobile Home Homemaking video! Welcome to my homemaking motivation video where I take you with me on a Day In The Life of living in a Mobile Home. My trailer is 455 square feet. To get my mobile home in better condition I had to do a room makeover. My small mobile home may not be big but it feels larger because of how I set it up! This video is different from what I usually make like food pantry hauls but I do hope you enjoy it! I also have some frugal living tips in this video as well as a frugal living hack for my jar lids. I hope you enjoy this day in the life of living in my office trailer. Living in a one bedroom, one bathroom trailer can be a challenge. I bought the best single wide I could afford. It needed a good old fashioned mobile home cleaning plus renovations. My renovation budget was too small to do the house design I wanted. Instead I put in endless hours of mobile home cleaning. I hope you enjoy my mobile home weekend vlog!
    Mobile Home Homemaking can be a work in progress!
    My Singlewide Mobile Home is not big but it's a great opportunity to make the most out of what I have! My home decorating ideas for my living room is focused on furniture placement and colorful fabrics with patterns. I applied an interior design principle in my trailer that may not be obvious because I do not have the finest furnishings. I used symmetry! It works in any home on any budget. You can make a nice space for yourself, it takes creativity when your budget is low or non-existent.
    MOBILE HOME HOMEMAKING & FRUGAL LIVING
    It is a blessing to have a home that I can offer homemaking motivation videos to help you make the most out of what you have! In my mobile home spend the day with me you would find me tidying up and putting things in designated spaces. Mobile home homemaking means making the best home I can using what I got! I use fabric storage containers housing off-season items and supplies under the bed. This is one of my interior design tips for Storage so I can store items out of sight.
    MOBILE HOME HOMEMAKING:
    This video is a day in the life of mobile home living! One necessary step I must take is keep the floor space clear. I make my home look more neat and tidy by putting things away. When you live in a small home, try to utilize space the best you can so you can safely walk within your home. Create a defined pathway to avoid tripping. If you would see a mobile home clean with me then you'd find me clearing the path in my home, so I can safely walk around! The struggle is real and it's important to create a routine that works for you! My floors are down to the sub flooring. It may not be the prettiest but it's what I'm working with.
    HOMEMAKING MOTIVATION
    The space is a minimalist home tour but the amount of things I have do fill up the space quickly. I had to figure out how to maximize a tiny space. I make my space work for me and improve as I go. When I can, I upgrade items to better quality items.
    Mobile Home Clean With Me
    Keeping your floors clear will help your home feel large! Design your space with storage in mind so you can get the most out from your furniture. When I moved here, I had very little furniture, it took time to build up to what I have today.
    FRUGAL LIVING
    Living in a small singlewide mobile home has challenges. It would be easier if I had a "junk room" but I have to work with what I got. I have one closet housing a water heater. The closet has room to store items which I utilize to the max. Use what you've got, buy what you can, and make the most out of your home whether you live in an apartment, in a mobile home trailer or any other kind of home. You can make a nice home! Going to the thrift store and dumpster diving to decorate your home takes time, so give yourself plenty of room to be creative!
    BONUS
    In today's video I include working in the yard! I try a subscriber's suggestion of adding eggshells to my outdoor plant to help it grow. I hope you enjoy!

    My hubby and I lost everything in 2019 because of an unscrupulous businessman. We lived in an RV until moving to Idaho about 2 years ago when we moved into a doublewide in a trailer park. This home had been lived in by destructive people and we have our work set out for us. There was no flooring, the windows are all cracked and the roof needs to be replaced. We had a hooker hole in the living room and knife slashes all over the doors and windows. I'm 70 and loving my new home and the possibi5it has given to us. Your place is lovely, like your attitude!!!! Bless you sweet girl!!!! Blessings abound when we look!!!!

That's the fence from the dump, I was so happy to get it rolled out and set in the ground. I always wanted a white picket fence, I got it now (sort of)! Have a beautiful night, Tink!

    Might be easier if you just set the pod aside for the coffee to dry then it might just pour out. Worms love coffee grounds….and tea leaves. I let the tea bag dry on a paper plate then rip the bag open, pours out….less mess. Plants are looking good! Spring has sprung!❤️🧡💚💙🩷🦋🦋🦋🌼🌼🌼

    Loved this video!! "Coffee Grounds" ☺️ We made our own little compost mix. You can use egg shells, coffee grounds, fruit peelings, weeds or leaves, vegetable feelings any food matter that you don't eat..and soil mix it up in a pile and let the earth worms go to work! We kept ours in a small vegetable garden, on the end where there was nothing planted. Take a rake, or shovel and mix away. Also any perishable foods that you can't eat, fruit, tomato, lettuce..etc you can add to the pile and let it grow , mix it, after its rotted through use it!! Just keep mixing and layering. Some even use tea bags.☺️ its cheaper to make your own biodegradable compost for plants than buying it! Anything that worms can feed on! We usually broke our egg shells up smaller pieces for compost! You can even add bread crumbs, etc..mix compost with soil. The rich compost helps fertilize the soil.💗 Giving me some great ideas!! I like solar lights. Especially if you have to travel in and out at night or just add light. Pretty accents. We were under A tornado watch yesterday evening and night. We have no storm shelter. Nor basement. Kindly odd West Virginia can't fight of tornadoes because we are mountains!!🌄 So thank the Good Lord we made it through. Other people have basements... If I had one I'd open it up for everyone during the storm if I had the room. We also live in a mobile home. They told people on the news to leave there trailors. We had no where else to go. Anyway... I hope you stay safe. Have a good weekend!! God Bless You!! And personally I liked the green cloth on the table! I love earth tones. Until the next video!!☺️☺️☺️

      Wow! I'm glad you are safe! I know what you mean about having to leave the trailer when the weather is dangerous. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go! Thank you for the info on how to compost, that's good stuff. I will see what I can do. The yard is full of earth worms! I like the green color but would like to use it differently, maybe on the sofa. I think it was competing with my Jesus picture!

    • @Ms.LisaDawn
      @Ms.LisaDawn 5 месяцев назад

      I thought it matched well with Jesus's picture. 🌼 I'm sure you can use it beautifully on the sofa or anywhere you decide. We didn't leave yesterday. We had no where else to go. My area doesn't have storm shelters. There have been tornadoes and hurricane Hugo come through. We ride them out. Putting our faith in the Lord.

    Hi Sarah! You are doing such a great job with the trailer! It looks really cute and cozy❤ I love the way you find uses for things that would ordinarily be thrown away. You make me believe that almost anything can have purpose. I did have to laugh at your mint experiment- too funny! But hey, you tried. Until next time…❤

      Thank you very much! I love my little trailer home. I'm going to try rooting mint again, in the future. I've gotten some good tips on what to do, so the experiment continues! I want to make Mr. Turtle's outdoor space more lively for him! Make him a little porch paradise.

    The mint needed to be put straight in the earth, and then it will grow ❤

      Thank you for the mint tip! I thought it needed roots, but I'll try your suggestion!

    Hi Sarah, loved how you repurposed the curtains. You have a nice organized place. I just moved into a small double wide and I'm trying to downsize alot. Great idea for the fence. Have a great weekend 🎉

      Congratulations on your new home! Downsizing is a big challenge. Yet it's a great opportunity to set up your space for you and to your liking. Make it beautiful just for you! I love the free fence from the dump. I have one more section to put up, still thinking where to add it. Have a great day!

    Coffee grounds are an excellent compost ingredient and are fine to apply directly onto the soil around most garden plants if used with care and moderation. Coffee grounds contain nutrients that plants use for growth. (looked that up,) i've been doing yard work, so much left to do but rain is coming tomorrow so i'll be working inside. i have a lot of papers to sort and some will be shredded. that will go into the recycle bin. a suggestion to get some roots going - clip the stems a bit on an angle so if one side of the stem isn't picking up water, the other side might since it's a bit higher on the stem about 2 weeks to eye surgery. i'm dreading it because it is a slow heal and i will have to have 2 more some months later

      Hi Karen! I like learning about gardening. I'm going to make a compost bin, eventually. The rain hit hard this week. Thank you for the roots suggestion. I will try cutting on an angle! Paperwork is my least favorite chore to complete, but it's a necessity. I'm glad your procedure is soon, you will do great! Have a wonderful day, Karen!

    Aww it would have been much easier to weed the ac condenser garden patch PRIOR to putting in the little fence.

      @CareFreeLivingChannel  4 месяца назад

      True! Good thing is I can just pop that fence out and work! Weeding is a challenge this time of year because of the full sun. I have to be covered up so I don't burn!

      They are very pretty prints! I think they were donated likely because someone cleaned out their parents or grandparents home and didn't know what they had. I had not heard of the Chelsea House before I'd gotten the prints, so it's new to me. Amazing to find something like that at the thrift store!

    How did you come about making an office trailer your home?

    • @CareFreeLivingChannel
      @CareFreeLivingChannel  5 месяцев назад +2

      That's a great question! I was renting a place that abruptly changed plans and decided to sell during the Pandemic. So I had to leave. Thank God the little trailer came up and with less than a month's notice to get out, I began the journey of moving. It needed some work, but I thought I could live in one room and fix up as I went along. I was wrong because it was completely infested. After getting that under control, then the cosmetic work began, and now I have my little home!

    I enjoyed watching your video.what is a chalk marker? What would you use it on?
    Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend 😊 🦋 🌞 🌼

    • @CareFreeLivingChannel
      @CareFreeLivingChannel  5 месяцев назад +1

      Great question! It's like a piece of chalk but more fancy. You can use it like a sharpie marker, but it will wipe off, it's temporary just like chalk! I have some labels to put on jars or containers that accept chalk, so I'm going to try that. I hope your weekend is great, too, happy friday!
