The YT Capra Uncaged 11 MX has an uncharacteristically high fun factor rating for a long-travel enduro bike, and boy, aren't we glad to see it!
We love that the mixed-wheeled Capra has traded some of its stability for liveliness, bringing colour to that "sweet, sweet" singletrack beneath us. The bike doesn't plough mindlessly through rough terrain, but it still has 170mm of front and rear travel to soak up trail chunder and those big hits. The MX Capra has put fun at the forefront of what it does, and that's an ethos we can get around.
The YT Capra Uncaged 11 MX comes in at AUD 10,999 with Ohlins suspension, carbon Crankbrothers wheels and an electronic drivetrain from SRAM. It's a bike that will turn the heads of others whilst keeping a smile on yours.

I love how you approached this from predominately a "bike park" bike view. It's so rare to see it. Would love to see a Bike park bike series for the summer! Like the RM slayer, Propain spindrift, YT Capra, and Devinci Chainsaw, and any other long travel enduro/freeride/park bikes compared

Scored the last one of these in stock on the UK site for 4k, it's an epic machine! I'm 5,11 and have a size XL.
I swapped out the 50mm stem for a 33mm and it fits like a glove. Incredible spec for the money even at full price, so for 4k it was the deal of the century!

Have the core 4 MX which has a X2 shock. Such a playful bike, and excellent on jumps.

Wish YT would sort out their Geo its all over the place, at 6 ft the Large is cramped and short, the XL has better reach but the Wheelbase has blown out and is cumbersome.
The clowns at YT NZ said: sorry our bikes dont really suit 6ft riders like wtf kinda answer is that.

I'm 6' on this exact XL Capra and the 484 reach and 1272 wheelbase seems to fit me absolutely perfectly. (long torso)
6'-6'1 folks are in between most modern L/XL sizing, so I love that YTs are a bit smaller compared to most brands.
Running a 45mm stem for better DH/cornering. 50mm stem if I need a little more weight on the front.
What aspect of the wheelbase isn't working for you? The XL chainstay gained 5mm over the L, front end gained 24mm. Does the front end feel too long/light?

Maybe i need to just adjust to the big bike, ended up not Getting the Capra anyway as the value isnt good here in NZ, Especially for the cheaper builds.
The XL felt like i alot infront and behind me, I could fell the extra effort required to Get it to tip over or around anything tight.
Might have to Demo the XL again for future reference

I wouldnt get the YT. The pedal bob is really bad. Also their customer service is trash as you already witnessed.

I'm also 6ft and don't know if I should get L or XL which is probably why I won't get the bike. The seat tube and wheelbase is too long on the XL but the reach I could go up at least 10mm on the L. Wonky choices by YT.
