Thanks for covering these reviews for the asrock boards. I think based on features and pricing where I am they offer the best VFM. The a620i lighting can be had for 150£ approximately and the b650i lighting for 180-200£. In this price range for am5 mini itx are the only ones offering this VRM phase and x2 m.2 slots. If I wanted these features the rest of the boards from other manufacturers jump to 250£
Been using the MSI version. It's actually terrible. The bios just does not work properly with XMP enabled and the clear CMOS button drained the battery while in transit meaning the BIOS will not save any settings. Terrible design. Thanks for this video! I'll be returning the MSI and getting this one
Can you please test memory overclocking on this board? Since is a 8 layer and only 2 dimms in theory it should be a very good memory overclocking board
My mobo is an b650 pg lightning and i have a question. When i boot my pc, red lights keep beeping in the top of my Motherboard. It turns on normally, but just wanna check if the motherboard does this for every build, or there's something i don't know.
Garbage like MSI B650i Edge is still floating around but good ITX boards like Asrock b650i lightning and B650e pg-itx disappeared from the face of the earth. I could only find them on eBay, there's practically no other seller that ships either of the Asrock ITX boards to my country. At this point I'm considering A620 ITX, but I reckon that's not going to fly with a 7950x3d in it.
Can you tell me if these motherboards come sealed in a transparent plastic? I got mine today, and it was without anything that would someone stop opening the box and take someting off the box.. so i am unsure, if i got an already used motherboard? Thanks
I got one just like this, the box as well as the static wrap didn't even have anything keeping them shut. Turns out the wifi card didn't work, sent it in for a replacement.
Can anyone offer assistance and recommendations on m.2 and ram for this mobo. I bought this board as well as a ryzen 5 7500f and an rx 6750 xt. I'm building my first PC and its an itx because i travel and I'm fine for months at a time.
You can really choose whatever m.2 ssd fits within your budget, I like the crucial P3 personally as it's decent value. For ram, I'd recommend 16gb or more of ddr5 6000 mhz ram with cl30 latency, this is the sweet spot for price to performance - I just picked up a 2x16 gb kit with these specs for $92, which isn't too bad for the capacity.
Hello, peut on régler la taille de ram dédiée à la vidéo dans le Bios ? Merci de reprondre car la plupart des youtubeurs n ont jamais répondu à ma question.
Check out the provoked prawn's video on b650i auros ultra. Overall, they're similar, gigabyte's version has a small cooling fan for front ssds and an additional slot for ssd on the back of the board, but at the same time uses an extension board to plug a lot of stuff into, which is not to everybody's liking.
@@ivantsipryeah lol, if you can afford a 2500-3000 dollars gpu that hasn’t even been released yet, why on earth would you care about a 200 dollar motherboard lmao. When it releases just get a new board.
Surprisingly good review, almost makes up for the fact this is the only video review for the product on youtube
theres like 5 ITX boards on the market and reviewers only review 1 or 2 of them. The rest are mentioned in passing lol.

Built two of these so far and they’re both great. Only B650 ITX board I would buy right now.
What CPU's do you have in there if you dont mind me asking? Looking to throw a 7800x3d at it and was wondering if it can handle it per say.

yeah I didn't even KNOW about this one until I saw this review. I wanted the gigabyte, but the reviews mixed with dongle issues are huge red flags
I was thinking about the Asus 650 version but this price is looking tempting. Think i should just forget the asus and save a 100 dollars?
Best part of this ITX board is that it DOESN'T have a daughterboard. Quite annoyed with the other AM5 ITX boards for this reason (other than the MSI)
What's a daughterboard?

Gigabyte B650i itx Aorus ultra is still using a daughter board and lots of adapter cables .. didn't last very long and wasn't cheap either.

Its not surprising that both MB performed equally with the slowest CPU. But what's the story with 7800X3d, 7900 and 7950x3d ....
Great ITX motherboards as always.

Check your mobo manual... There should be some info about it.
So it won't run with Ryzen 9000 series like 7950x3d?

Mine too
does this have 2x M.2 slots?
Yes
Yes one on the front one on the back
Is it possible to run a 7800X3D on it without performance loss?
yes but no overclocking
Agreed
Yes, VRM is more than enough to run a 7950x which is way more power hungry than the 7800x3d

Wish I knew what all this meant...
Are you selling? 😄
Its only Pcie 4 for gpu . The B650 pg itx has Pcie5 for gpu . Not going to waste money on a non futureproof motherboard
I guess you gonna buy a RTX 5090ti then
You'll be wasting money on an overpriced mobo with additional bandwith... which you won't be able to saturate anyway.
Future proofing has always been a waste of money for me, so save your money now.
