IME, the silicone ones on tile and hardwoods work great until after about 2-3 months, when they cracked and came off (wont stay on anymore) maybe due to the stretching. It hugs the wood on the chair nice&tight, but it seems to strain the silicone.
Sticky felt pads were not working for us, so we swapped to a more permanent style for our chairs. We were tired of the pads sliding off and sticking to the floor instead or our dog eating them since it's a new tasty treat that just popped up.

...sliding weight test (as per video) vs a 250# person pushing away from a table will wear these out in weeks. Looks like tennis balls are still the best and cheaper lol

The silicone ones come right off on hardwood floors too. Trust me, just had company over and found about half of them on the floor off the legs

Yeah, my great grandmother uses those balls on her walker and they work great.
