Diana West wrote the book I had wanted to write, The Death of the grown-Up. From about 1985 to 2010, I researched and found I couldn't write well enough for some reason during summers. In those years I taught English to middle and high- school public-school students, and I came home exhausted and beat up most days. I did this a total of 31 years. Mine was a case of, unlike Miss West, I had no platform since I was a nobody so publishers wouldn't have taken me seriously even if I had written it. But Miss West is such a delight and I'm glad she wrote it and got it out there. I wish her well in future undertakings. She's so on target with what she is saying. And she's cute too. I Just NOW discovered Diana West and think she is the best writer I have ever heard discussing a book she wrote. She clearly knows her subject inside and out and can discuss it comprehensively and in tones that kept me rooted in what she had to say. I share many of her conclusions . I am twice her age and was there at the time many of the events discussed were happening. Example: Joseph McCarthy was hounded and denigrated literally to death for telling the truth about the infiltration of communist agents into American government positions. I still cry at the mention of his name. The hearings of the House Unamerican Activity committee was a tragic travesty of a cover up for the infiltration McCarthy had exposed and it ruined the lives of many innocent people who weren't the enemies of America they were accused of being. I read as many books as I could find on that issue and came then, to some of the same conclusions she has come to in her book; but not as comprehensively as she has after her research....I only suspected we were not getting the truth from the Major Media but I hadn't put all the pieces together. I will surely try to own this book. And I don't mean the electronic one. I think electronic books are a step into total censorship because I already have trouble finding many of the books I seek in the Library System or major book sellers and must scurry around trying to find them in used bookstores.

Diana West wrote the book I had wanted to write, The Death of the grown-Up. From about 1985 to 2010, I researched and found I couldn't write well enough for some reason during summers. In those years I taught English to middle and high- school public-school students, and I came home exhausted and beat up most days. I did this a total of 31 years. Mine was a case of, unlike Miss West, I had no platform since I was a nobody so publishers wouldn't have taken me seriously even if I had written it. But Miss West is such a delight and I'm glad she wrote it and got it out there. I wish her well in future undertakings. She's so on target with what she is saying. And she's cute too. Husband take note. God bless her!

The "Lochner" she mentions at 35 minutes is Louis P. Lochner, who also did a very good biography of the world famous violinist, Fritz Kreisler. He is not to be confused with the Lochner case, which also comes up in the history of Roosevelt & the 30s.

I detested the "Love it or leave it " meme during the Vietnam conflict. It was anathema to me. Neither I nor the uninformed dolts who only had that meme to justify their position, understood only the communists in government came up with it to create a divide in our nation.

I Just NOW discovered Diana West and think she is the best writer I have ever heard discussing a book she wrote. She clearly knows her subject inside and out and can discuss it comprehensively and in tones that kept me rooted in what she had to say. I share many of her conclusions . I am twice her age and was there at the time many of the events discussed were happening. Example: Joseph McCarthy was hounded and denigrated literally to death for telling the truth about the infiltration of communist agents into American government positions. I still cry at the mention of his name. The hearings of the House Unamerican Activity committee was a tragic travesty of a cover up for the infiltration McCarthy had exposed and it ruined the lives of many innocent people who weren't the enemies of America they were accused of being. I read as many books as I could find on that issue and came then, to some of the same conclusions she has come to in her book; but not as comprehensively as she has after her research....I only suspected we were not getting the truth from the Major Media but I hadn't put all the pieces together. I will surely try to own this book. And I don't mean the electronic one. I think electronic books are a step into total censorship because I already have trouble finding many of the books I seek in the Library System or major book sellers and must scurry around trying to find them in used bookstores.
Investigative History? I am very interested in that concept. I could get into that.

I couldn't tell if the audience looked stunned or stupefied. Almost too much truth to wrap one's head around. I hated the slam at 'socialized medicine' though. I don't think that belongs in the same basket. And maybe that's the rub: Every idea, idealism has some humanly worthwhile component hidden somewhere, but clobbering humanity with the entire basket always goes badly. And I know I have not expressed that thought well, but am still struggling with what I have learned from this. I am, for instance, also wholly opposed to Islam, yet , , , they sure have nice architecture! I mean, isn't there at least one good idea in every basket? This presentation is a glaring example of how important timelines are in the presentation of historical evidence, in the mistaken assumptions the author has made, but I can understand it as she has presented herself as a journalist and not an historian, her assertions must be examined on a broader historical context for a complete understanding of these events and the forces driving them at the times they occurred.

There were always things I could never figure out until ''American Betrayal.'' For one thing why was D-day referred to as the ''second front'' since we had already been fighting in North Africa as well as Italy. In fact, we had almost defeated Italy, which if you take out a map it is a very short distance from Northern Italy right into Germany. Many of our Generals wondered the same thing. It was Stalin's plan to prolong the war and allow him to conquer half of eastern Europe. FDR abandoned American Soldiers by the thousands that got caught behind the lines as the Soviet Army advanced. He also used American & British soldiers to return fleeing Russians to Stalin to be enslaved and murdered.

8:40 in the movie PATTON there is a scene where Patton is circling a riding arena on a white horse saying we should have gone into the Soviet Union while we had the chance. He is then relegated to the position of military governor. He is not allowed to go to the Pacific. I believe they could not get to George Patton because he was independently wealthy. There is another movie where it describes the conspiracy of Patton getting killed under the guise of an automotive accident. ... And then there is DALLAS.

I don't understand how people who are exposing massive lies in one area, nonetheless hang onto everything else that has been taught to them by the same school teachers, and they frame their exposure of certain lies within the context of other lies that they "normalize" by taking them for granted as truth. Everything we think we know needs to be thrown out on a conditional basis, and our knowledge of our world restructured from the ground up to clear out all the lies.
