  • Pulleys, ropes and a battery powered industrial sewing machine make great blinds from this beautiful, old, furry hide.
If you are interested, the track I was listening to was "Over the Mountain" by Cory Wong and Sierra Hull. I tried finding it on RUclips but the version I was oooooh-ing was the one by that name on Spotify. The videos you can find of them performing it on YT are pretty fantastic too though.

I was thinking the same thing! Exterior shades or shutters are great for blocking out the sun and heat during summer. I recommend exterior shades to customers with tons of windows on the West and South side of their home. I'm in residential HVAC design and sales. Windows and the sun are the enemy for keeping your home cool!

Excellent job on the windows shades!!! Actually, it would be a good idea to move out of the tent permanently and enjoy that very nice cabin. I have installed the same size heater in my screened porch to keep my plants from freezing to death. I am in the process of replacing vinyl sheeting with plexiglass. Vinyl sheeting was originally installed by me to keep the rain and pollen out. I can open "windows" like doors. I have six of them and the rest are not-opening, works great for me. Thanks for your videos which are incentives to get my projects done.

Great job! Lowering those curtains at night when the temps really drop is going to save a TON of propane, too! I noticed that all your careful calculations didn’t take into account that the lifting stick woven into the center was going to shorten the finished product just a mite… maybe the hanging will stretch the leather a bit. OR, maybe you could find a thrift shop black feather boa to tack onto the bottom edge, yakno, for style AND function…
