- Pulleys, ropes and a battery powered industrial sewing machine make great blinds from this beautiful, old, furry hide.
If you are interested, the track I was listening to was "Over the Mountain" by Cory Wong and Sierra Hull. I tried finding it on RUclips but the version I was oooooh-ing was the one by that name on Spotify. The videos you can find of them performing it on YT are pretty fantastic too though.

Another creative so,union! Great work on that sewing machine! And it is really dark in there!
Always look forward to watching your video Saturday morning out at my cabin in the woods. Those blinds are
The blinds were awesome I was trying to say . See you next Saturday.
Great job, creative.
Well sir, definitely one of a kind . . . you mentioned a to do list before winter, #1 HANDRAILS for your cabin stairs. You know what happened last year. Keep your ribs intact with a couple hours of preventative, eh?
You’re ingenious ~ I enjoy your content
It is a hoot every Saturday. It’s one of the highlights of my week!
Thank you for the entertaining inspiration.
Makes the cabin look cozy. And insulation when it’s really cold. Just needs some lights.
exited for the kitchen!
Very nice you can do anything 😊
Oddly enough, this was a very satisfying accomplishment video. Cheers! Thanks.
And, your sewing experience is showing! ;)
& rap + bluegrass +1 :)
(Edit 3 P’s) P.P.P.S. With those blinds, you’re inventing a new national flag!
I'm watching a grown man make leather curtains for his tiny cabin. I would be questioning my life's choices but the curtains are so cool!!!
Morning buddy. You’re the best!
Sierra Hull thanks for the hint. I like “trust & obey” good stuff take a listen. The shades are super cool nice job sir. Thanks for sharing.
green, tan leather, and fur. The official flag of Ringworm 😄
The Worm a true genius and craftsman. I'm so glad I found your channel
Now your windows have bespoke Groucho Marks eyebrows - cool!
The hide actually looks really good up like that 👍
Great job 😊
Great job Ringworm! Hello Mr. Kisser...
I love bluegrass, thanks for the tip. A good day to you, love your videos.
Awesome curtains love em ❤️🙏👍💖🇺🇸🥰😜🤪
You are a genius. I love the window treatments.
Love the colors. Very earthy. Looks very neat and certainly blocks out the light. If you want a little light during the day, but a little privacy, maybe screw in some halfway hooks so you can let them down half way. Nice job.
yup saturday mornings are fun with ringworm and coffee, which was great thank you.
Great project
Storm shutters out of scrap wood, you can't go wrong.
You never cease to amaze me. Awesome job. Can't wait for the kitchen video. Thanks Ryan. Your humble Patreon supporter. 👍👍👍👍👍❤️
Definitely bluegrass for me, I think I found a love for it from my grandpa
AWESOME sewing project! 👍😎🇨🇦🐂
Pretty Darn Spiffie !!
Well done! Another creative and functional improvements! 😎👍
Having sleeping options is great. And you have several!
Looks Great Ryan, Very cool idea too.
love these shades and the way you pieced the fabrics together. You are ingenious!
Love the curtains nice to see something other then shooting makes me want to break out my old sewing machine
Thanks for asking. Coffee was great this morning, almost as good as the video this week. 😊
Looks great!!!
Those shades are the bomb Ryan, nice creative design, your a genius! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Boy that tent platform has a lot of potential. An outdoor kitchen, a guest cabin, a dinning room?
Ingenious! They look wonderful!!
Perfect job as always great design great video
OMG! That blue sewing machine clashes with all that green.
great job on the shades,... next big project, building an other room on the cabin,! private bedroom!!!...lol, good job Rayn!!👏😁
These were impressive! Love that ingenuity!
You could have put wooden shutters on the outside of the window. They would have protected the windows from the storm/elements.
And bears
lol im sure others were thinking that but hey i was one of them to but you got to admit them shades are cool .
That's a great idea for another project build
That makes alot of sense...
I was thinking the same thing! Exterior shades or shutters are great for blocking out the sun and heat during summer. I recommend exterior shades to customers with tons of windows on the West and South side of their home. I'm in residential HVAC design and sales. Windows and the sun are the enemy for keeping your home cool!
Great project looks great!! Nice use of material!
I love your shades the cow hide is beautiful
Another great Ringworm word to add to my list. Skrang 😁
You are amazing. Praise God he gave you so many gifts.😊 29:03
that was an ingenious creation! great work as usual!
I luv your content. Last year I was hospitalized for 4 months. Every Saturday I could look forward to your videos.
Cool shades, man.
Those curtains turned out great! Well done!
I wasn't sure if I was going to like it in the beginning but damn it turned out great
I love that like everything you do, that you thought outside the box in making window coverings. The end result in my opinion is totally Ringworm and totally awesome.
Very unique blinds. Only you would do this. Glad you’re keeping warm.
Great job. Love how it all turned out.
I have to say as a Texan you were crushing my soul citing the hide but I made it to the end and they look cool! You have some great skills! You were attempting a Roman shade… if u wanted to research that decor style 😊 just know that rug would’ve been awesome to go from bed to couch without shoes 😢
Btw the M&M machine is my fave!
Well. You are just amazing.
Your a man of many talents. Love the curtains 😊
Ryan! You are so creative and talented!
Dude!! Those curtains are badass! Well done!
Next next summer I'd be working on a water catchment system on cabin and your man cave
Hey good morning way out here in the US of A you are very talented you think outside the box I love watching your videos and your super freaking awesome 👍👍💪😊
You are so dang inventive and how you going to make the curtains for your cabin just amazes me. Will never know
Awesome window coverings, so suits you
Excellent job on those shades. That was absolutely beautiful work. I keep forgetting your sewing skills are top notch. Can’t wait to watch building a kitchen.
Crazy awesome curtains!
The window treatments look great.
Excited to see the kitchen stuff!
Awesome awesome worm,👏🏻👏🏻
Every once in a while it would be nice to close the blackout curtains when you go to bed and see how long you sleep without the sun waking you up.
Great creation
I vote for sturdy bear proof shutters and...
A rain fly for your old tent. This will keep you dry and, help some maintain the heat in your tent from your body.
Great job on the shades. Love the way they match the floor 😊
You should consider building a workshop :) Would be an awesome project to follow with all your kinks and creativity.
Excellent job on the windows shades!!! Actually, it would be a good idea to move out of the tent permanently and enjoy that very nice cabin. I have installed the same size heater in my screened porch to keep my plants from freezing to death. I am in the process of replacing vinyl sheeting with plexiglass. Vinyl sheeting was originally installed by me to keep the rain and pollen out. I can open "windows" like doors. I have six of them and the rest are not-opening, works great for me. Thanks for your videos which are incentives to get my projects done.
Ryan, you're a genius! Most of us hate when we get a glitch in our projects. You delight in the glitches, and you conquer them.
Yes, Sierra Hull is an outstanding Bluegrass picker! I agree.
You definitely know your way around a sewing machine, love the shades
Looks really good. The materials go good with each other. Keep it up
Wow Rayn I really love the curtains makes the place look like home I just have to say it's so wonderful to see a man that can use a sewing machine properly fantastic job be happy be safe
The numbers on the leather height is the square footage. Definitely some cool curtains.
Looks great Bud!!!
Well it will also keep your heat in. These curtain are really great😊
I have to say i was skeptical at first on how they would look but it looks great nice job.🙂🇨🇦👍👍👍
Awesome, great job
You better get a hand rail on the steps. Remember your ribs. Stay safe
Those turned out fantastic. You have that 3rd dimension designer gene. Good job!
Cool, kool, looks great.
Not exactly how I would have done it, but your way is neater and VERY RUSTIC.
The official flag of ringworm green tan and cow fur 😂 love it
Lol, you and I had the exact same thought 😂
Beauty flag for the Ringer.
You never cease to amaze me Ryan.
😮Ok this guys a Genius
Very creative as per usual. Fits in well with everything else in the cabin.
Great job!
Great job! Lowering those curtains at night when the temps really drop is going to save a TON of propane, too! I noticed that all your careful calculations didn’t take into account that the lifting stick woven into the center was going to shorten the finished product just a mite… maybe the hanging will stretch the leather a bit. OR, maybe you could find a thrift shop black feather boa to tack onto the bottom edge, yakno, for style AND function…
I'm glad you took my advice when you were first thinking of this project, I reminded you that you are a professional at sewing with canvas and to combine them ! Your welcome 😊 And might I say you do excellent work!!!!! You deserve a big piece of apple pie 🥧 😋
DAM your good!
Wow, what a clever and smart solution you found for darkening your room! I admire your skills and I am jealous on your fabulous sewing machine. I own a over 100 year old Adler machine with an electric motor, but I can’t sew such thick materials together. Yours is really fantastic! Keep on building, sewing and whatever… I’ll be here and watching… Greetings from rainy south of Germany 🙋♀️
how creative!
