Klopp was obviously pissed.. he'd had enough! It was a constant battle for the poor bugger to get some decent players in and be able to compete with exhausting his bone marrow trying to manage them on a biblical level.
None of us know what is going on, but damn man if Salah is looking for a pay raise then he doesn't want to stay, he just wants the money, he's already the highest paid player and one of the highest in the EPL. It's not as simple as just pay the man, they have to fit everything into a budget and while the fans think the team should pay unlimited money to get the best players we all know that is not going to happen. I'm also not trying to defend the owners but I'm trying to be realistic.
These contracts should not have been left to get to this point absolutely pathetic what are Edwards and Hughes doing what are the getting paid for everyone needs to wake up and realise our club is ran by clowns

If you don’t like the owners, no nuance, logic or reason will change your basic opinion from “the owners are cheap” to explain everything. People are just used to doing that whenever anything negative or involving money is up for discussion.

What David Lynch says about Klopp/Schmadtke dropping the ball on the contracts, and it being nothing to do with FSG is exactly what I have been saying on this forum for months and been getting slayed as an FSG apologist. What these people do not understand is how large global corporations work, and there is simply no way FSG will have been engaged on these contracts - they will have clearly delegated that to local management, as long as they kept to it all being within their delegated budgets. It will have only been escalated to them if the wage demands were beyond those budgets, and this clearly was never the case as the bloody negotiations had not even bloody started ! I mostly blame Schmidtke, as this was his job. But Klopp has to bear some responsibility as (1) he brought Schmadtke in (and also drove Julian Ward out), and (2) he knew the contract situation very well, and did nothing as far as we can see to escalate it or put any pressure, as far as we can tell, on Schmadtke to get it sorted asap.
Seriously, a lot of people need to learn how organizations work. There's even someone on this channel who thinks FSG assigned a shirt number to player. Yes, the way they run the club is slow and frustrating, and they do not allocate enough budget to transfers and wages. But Liverpool operate as a club traditionally should. Standing with their own money, not depending on owners pockets.
FSG know what they are doing and i dont mind it. Other clubs like the Mancs would panic and dish out a 3 year 500k a week to Rashford if this was him an not Trent. We need to relax, nobody is bigger than us and we roll on no matter who leaves. Pull yourselves together and stop flapping over these players who deep down dont give a rat ass about you.

When something happens, someone will let us know. Stay or leave it doesn’t affect my life at all. I’ll still support LFC. Exactly the same as I have for 60 years! I cheer for them on match days, then we both go our separate ways until the next game. Who plays where, who doesn’t plan isn’t my job. We have someone who works all that out! It’s enjoyable to listen all the bollocks people on these vlogs talk! They know as much as me, absolutely nowt! But good for them for making a living out of it. 😅
I don't know where we would be if Klopp got to decide everything. I love Klopp, but he has dodgy transfer targets, thank God Michael Edwards was there to stop it.
There is no way that Liverpool should give salah or VVD a pay rise. They are both over 30 and I don’t care what their numbers are, they are not gaurenteed to play like this next year
Frothy mouth had so much to say after all the immature, illogical and uninformed ranting over the last few days - his face and eyebrows said it all 😂😂 David thankfully called him out diplomatically
Craig, as usual talking out of his arse, in making statements that stick all the shit on FSG generally, and John Henry in particular, when he has absolutely no knowledge or insight on why the contracts have not been sorted and/or who is to blame for what. I fully agree with David Lynch that FSG will have delegated budget authorities to the Liverpool management (Hughes) and possibly to the FSG Football management (Michael Edwards, Julian Ward) so even if the blockage is due to the club's side, it is these people who are on point (but of course, we have no idea if that is even the issue). For all we know, the issues may lie with the players and their agents. For all we know Trent may be just stringing Liverpool along in order to get more leverage with Real, and Mo and Virgil may be asking for too much or for contracts that run for too long. We simply have no idea where the issues lie. I am fine with laying into the club for letting it get this far, and fine with the media and the supporters demanding some accountability by Hughes, and agree it is high time the gutless bastard grew some balls and sat down and talk to the supporters about why it has got to this stage. We would obviously have to respect the confidentiality needed around the contract discussions themselves, but there is a lot of explaining to do re how late they started and why they were not his immediate priority in March (if he says he waited til Slot had started in June, then that is bullshit - he could and should have sounded out the players and their agents re their aspirations, to make sure we had a full understanding of what they want and why, and which areas they see as non-negotiable and which they are willing to trade on). Hughes was quick enough to be at the mike alongside Slot for his first Press Conference, but has been totally invisible since then.
Salah has been fantastic but I think he has past his peaked and I anticipate he will start to decline next yr at 33, especially 2025/2026 season, if he doesn't accrue any injuries. I think this is a tough decision for FSG. They are planning for the future.
