Also Dreamcatcher has a playlist on their channel called Between Dreamcatcher and Me, which shows a little more of their serious side (was during Handongs abscence)

yea yoohyeon's mandarin is really good, even during minx she's seen studying it, she's shown it off in several occassions
Yoohyeon has always been interested in languages and she has a real talent for it, so when Handong came to Happyface it was Yoohyeon who really first befriended her. Handong taught her Mandarin while Yoohyeon helped her with Korean. They are a good match as friends. Yoohyeon just begs to be teased and Handong is always ready to oblige. Handong and Gahyeon are also very close since they've been roommates since they joined Dreamcatcher. Big sister, little sister. Teasing Gahyeon can be dangerous. She's very sensitive and she has an explosive temper, but you know when she is genuinely annoyed she is not loud. She speaks in a very calm deliberate low voice. That's when you know you're in trouble.
Thanks for the video. Glad to see this continued. Can't wait for 2021 version as well! But since you're going to do more song listens, it'd be awesome if you did album listens, starting with Nightmare. A lot of their b-sides have special clips and performances which are great! I'm just super curious about what you think of their whole discography haha.

I love the side note about the slang shortening 'teacher' to 샘, stuff the official Hangul books never mention. There is a whole compilation of SuA's 존 맛탱 saga where she uses her serious and other voices AND there's lots of swearing. Siyeon's cozy voice is devastating too.

in terms of who would be the most compatible to hang out with, i completely understand why you gravitate towards dami; her energy is definitely unmatched. personally, even though she isn't my bias i think yoohyeon would be so lovely to chill with. once you fall deeper in, you'll realize how silently loving she is towards every living creature, whether it be her members or her dog, pie -- and i really appreciate that about her ^^
I would love to see you react to the rest of their solos! They also showcased a snippet of each of their solo songs during the US tour, it would be fun to see you react to that!

The part with the Iced Americano was from a vlog Gahyeon did some time ago. She was showing people her yoga and stretching exercises. Just WOW, her flexibility! She really is great and I hope she has kept at it for her health and dancing.
Yoohyeon's solo special clip is probably coming out middle of this week; it'll be the last one so that's something to keep an eye out for.
It's probably already on the list, but the self-made MVs (Sahara/Break the Wall/Poison Love) are a must!
About language stuff, they don't have any swears in their actual lyrics and they're super careful on variety shows/radio shows etc., but they definitely are more unfiltered off camera or on vlives. There's a whole 3 or so part meme series of Sua accidentally cursing from reading comments and then having to have a stern word with whoever wrote them lol
I love that JiU pretends that Gahyeon said 옷이 instead of "Oh shit!" 😆

Edit: I've always been curious about this so hoping you might be able to give some insight to it. I noticed there tends to be a big/somewhat over reaction when someone mispronounces something in Korean, generally laughter or confusion. Is it because of the language structure that just turns that mispronunciation into something completely different?
Hi! Good question. Usually, it is just because they are messing up so they are laughing at it. However, sometimes... there are words that can completely change the meaning of what they're saying due to a mispronounciation. I can't think of examples at the moment but the korean language can be funny that way if you're not careful. I'll be sure to mention it if I recall some funny ones!

So cute. It's so fun watching DC just be DC. Thanks for the video :D If you want stuff with a lot of content, your best bet is probably going to be older stuff. But that said, it might be really fun to check out their new content from _Apocalypse: Save Us._ That's the album that "Entrancing" is from. It seems like all the members are going to have special clips for their solo songs, so I'm sure if you started on the other ones, they'd all be released by the time you're finished. And the group songs on the album are also good, of course! You've already heard "MAISON," and the others are "Locked Inside a Door," "Starlight," "Together," and "Always."

Well Dreamcatcher swear a lot but only accidentally XD 🤣
Oh, yes, they each have a different animal representation. JiU's animal is the Rabbit. SuA's was the Elephant but she changed it to a Chick. Siyeon's is the Wolf (people have said that she does things like a wolf, especially where she is looking at something or someone very intently, it's in her eyes). Han Dong's is the Cat (house Cat, I am pretty sure, or they would have mentioned which other type of great cat) and she has also called herself the Ice Princess. Yoohyeon had been nicknamed The Tree because of her height when they were still Minx but I guess things have changed since DC debuted; Yoohyeon's animal is the Dog (she's also a Dog Mom; there are references to her adorable Pomeranian, Pie, whose full name is Sapphire). Dami's animal is obviously the Panda (sometimes she is called PanDami). Gahyeon's animal is the Fox.
