Pants have always been included in cards, this isn’t new? “Game used memorabilia” includes pants. Tons of cards clearly show the pants as the relic. Odd that so many people are thrown off by it.
There are a lot of people in the baseball card RUclips world who obviously weren’t collecting during the memorabilia card boom of 2000-2015 and it’s showing lol
Mike, no real comment other than I enjoy your insightful videos. You, Sewell, and IF Sports (puts out videos of Top 10 retail/hobby pulls of the week) are about the only channels I watch for my sports card and hobby news. Keep up the good work and thanks!
I’m 45 years old and have been a huge fan of basketball since the mid 80’s. Yes lots of great athletes have played women’s basketball. Only one mega star to transform the sport, elevate it and turn heads like Caitlin has done. She is the real deal. She’s the women’s version of Jordan/Shaq/LeBron to enter the league with worldwide hype and to maintain it. Let’s see where she takes it. As of now it’s already the biggest it’s ever been.
I will be so happy when it's year two for Caitlin Clark and all of a sudden, about 90% of the people that "care" now no longer care. You know, like NBA Top Shot and Project 2020.
Selling on COMC is a blast. I just buy every auto in site if I can get em bulk for 60-75 cents and semd em in. You wont get rich, but its fun to build funding this way and put that money towards quick flips. Ive def sent in cards worth less than 50 cents, but I guess thats the price of business. Not a big deal if its a few cards a sub.
Wow 683k 50/50 Topps Now cards for at least $10 a card - Topps grosses $6.8MM plus (many people would have bought just 1 at the $15 price). $6.8MM is the same revenue as 45,333 hobby boxes at a sales price of $150.
The kid suing for the 50/50 ball needs to take the L. I saw the video. He didn't give much effort to be that close and claimed he had it in his left hand. The entire video his phone is in his left hand. If I was that close I'd admit the NHL Enforcer in me would've come out.
Does anyone care about any other players than Wemby and Clark???? So many people that collect don’t even really know sports. It’s interesting that collecting for young people has become more about following social media card heroes and buying who they tell them to like than actually watching the sports, learning the history, and collecting based on that. What are we doing here people????😂😂😂
@@mcarp2271 yeah if you’re the investor type those are the only two. If you’re a sports fan or a collector, it opens the world up a lot and you can get great cards on the cheap.
Being originally from Miami I only collect Miami heat 90s to 2000s (no panini other than big 3 era). Specifically going after team set of topps chrome and finest refractors. I have also dabbled into same for Marlins. These are the teams I followed as a kid and teen and into my mid/late 20s with big 3 so I just want cards from those years. I don’t collect anything else. Nor am I in the investing/flipping game.
The bounties are just like on eBay when you're running an auction and someone offers you $x to end the auction and buy it now. Those people, in either case, are not making you an offer to benefit you, they are trying to benefit themselves. I've never had that happen (I never accept those offers) where I haven't sold the item for well more than what I was offered. And, yes, they are also doing it for clicks/clout.
It's so crazy, with some of the prices these days. I often see a lot of the comments on RUclips. That our economy, is in the gutter. And inflation. Then there's the 6 and 7 figure items. But maybe these people who, are spending million dollars on an autograph baseball are, chilling comfortably on their Yacht. Either that. Or money laundry, but also chilling comfortably on the Yacht. Wolf Of Wall Street style...
I would take any piece of that historic day by Ohtani! I would not spend 2 dollars on a Caitlyn Clark card, don’t get the madness I always wonder who is buying all these 5 and 6 figure cards! A lot of money in this hobby
I would say it depends on the collector if it matters or not. The garbage pail kids cards are stickers, they are still collectible. The wacky pack cards were made to lick and stick to things. They are collectible. Most of your old music cards were made to glue or stick into a book. I wouldn't be able to collect music cards without collecting sticker cards. My 1975 Panini Led Zeppelin is considered a sticker, has a beautiful white boarder, has writing on the back about Led Zeppelin (in Italian), and is about the size of a photograph. The last I checked the pop report on psa was like 10. Weather there is a sticky substance between the back and front doesn't matter to me, I still find the card/sticker more valuable than a lot of other things with pops in the hundreds or thousands. They are made by a card company and look like cards, if anything being able to peel and stick them should make them more rare.
