Wow! Swervin’ Herb went from 4th to 1st during the last race passing every car clean and at different points on the track. What a performance! Great show once again, Mark!

IMO, on the super short list of most enjoyable halftime shows for this series!!
Errors came back to haunt some drivers today and by the same degree was consistency rewarded! Four contenders remain, and no doubt that the wait to see this event done & dusted will be next to interminable! If what's happened before is any indication, _hold on to your butts_ when the lights go green again here 💯😎🏁
Ya for sure if j hadn’t screwed up the first two races would of had a shot oh well such is racing it was fun and definitely got my heart pounding from the excitement!!

Another awesome round of racing at GTR!! This track is so brutal.. if you can run a clean line and navigate the scrambler, you're golden! But if you make the tiniest mistake, you either finish last or DNF. The final will be epic! Congrats to all the drivers and good luck.
Every round here is a good watch, competitive in one or another way.
And today, it was a great show to see driving skills on point to upset competitors with superior equipment and complete the list of finalists.

That half time was awesome. I gotta give it to Fat Dad as he had 3 great drifts in a row. Why? he slid onto the wall 3 times and did not hit it hard. Great slides by Fat Dad. If my opinion counts. I watched this 4 times. The other 4 drivers also had great difts, but not consistent like Fat Dat. He is still my hero in the final qualifying rounds. WOW, how many times did he win the race? yes, a lot. the drone skills were ok. I saw the action. All cars (not drivers, nobody is driving) had 1 great drift but still I go with Fat Dad for 3 fantastic drifts and just a rubbing on the rail. I hope my opinion counts for something.
Another awesome race. As I stated, one can never predict the outcome of this race. I would love to send Johnny Smoke down the track again just to see him but he is not fast enough. Next time...maybe. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for the entertainment Sir. Cooper says "Arf"!
At halftime, Dusty's second drift is the first one I've seen (I think) that _didn't_ touch the wall! (And I've seen every one of your vids.

Drone skills are on point, but I like the other angle better for watching the drifts.
Swervin' Herb in that hot Nomad, glad he made it. I was rooting for Boondoxx, but a well earned win by S.H. The finals are gonna be extreme!! Can't wait! Great show Mark, great job all the semi finalists!

Great drone flying there. Superb racing as always.
I predicted this during the time trials that Swervin' Herb would make some noise in the semi-finals and, as you see, he's doing just that. If he continues to drive like he did during these 8 races, he will win it all for sure.
Nice drifting by Boondocks, I thought he might have a chance to make a great comeback but Swervin Herb was just too good. The next race is going to be a Swervin Herb - Sneaky Bob shootout!! Race officials may need to keep a close eye on Billy just in case though.

At the intros I took a liking to Swervin' Herb because I like those old Chevy Nomads (my brother-in-law is restoring a '56).
But ya know. I hate to pick a favorite and then have them lose. But not only was that Nomad good looking, it had the speed and stability to win in the end. But not without a bit of drama. This track is worth all the hard work that went into it!

Four great finalists ready to rock 'n roll (hoochie coo)! Who will win? The casinos opening lines were Numbskull 5/2, Swervin' Herb at 4/1, Sneaky Bob, 6/1 and Canuck 9/1. Of course the odds will constantly be changing as bets come in.

@@gravitythrottleracing thank you that was a crazy race.. total rollercoaster of emotions watching from starting off with two dnf to coming back and taking the lead at one point then loosing in the end.. just wish had gotten points the first two laps then maybe would of. Had a shot…was super fun tournament great job as always

Certainly a fantastic track set up, unique to all others in so many respects!!
For me, a disappointing way to end. Plenty to analyse again, all which has to be
looked at differently, compared to running at other tracks and racing formats.
Main issue, having good speed early in the comp, but the combo of long distance/time travel,
length of circuit, terrain, bumps etc really put my brakes on, performance dived.
A hard scenario to test against when building. And yeah some suspension
tweaks/balance etc needed, again hard to test for.
All too late to effect changes for the Bouncer build, which had to be sent off loong ago.
But when I regain my mojo, get up, dust myself off, I will have another crack.
But for now, just tidy up the workshop and have an extended lunch break for a few months.

Marc, thank you for indulging your thoughts about your BMW. My $0.02 is this... your suspension is not bad, but I have an interesting theory. When it is just your car on the track, you are crazy fast, as was shown on the recent halftime show. When 4 cars race, the track experiences more vibration. Turn on the train, and there's even more vibration! I have witnessed cars that are prone to crash by themselves, suddenly dish it out when other cars are around. Then, when the train is on, they seem to perform like it's a ballet! I'll leave you with this fact. I designed and tested my track with sotb HWs. I later added weight, but that was all.
Thank you for the feedback. Interesting, much to ponder and evaluate. Have to think about a few experiemntal test tracks. It's all a challenge, but that (as frustrating as it can be) is the challenge and fun. Thanks, I'll email you soon re entry $ for Bouncer and my wagons. Cheers Marc D
