Am I the only one who thinks that the "unreal music" became its own genre somehow? I mean without taking a look on the page playing the video, I can immediately realize if a given track is related to Unreal somehow. (I know this is a remix, but i'm talking about related tracks in general!)
This is a thought that has occupied my mind for a while, certain choices of sounds for specific instruments, and certain harmonic progressions really define this particular genre/style
Mothership Loudspeakerz || A lot of Alexander Brandon's earlier works had a similar vibe. He used a lot of the same instruments, yes but even when he branched out, it still had the same familiar feel.
Could you lin kme to more of hsi outstanding work? I only know the standard compilations CDs of him for Unreal@@SonjaTheDork

(Or rather vice versa, given which game came first.)

I seriously like how you enrich it with new melodies, but still keep enough of the original ... that's the key to a good remix imo ... and you're the only one doing the Unreal psytrance combo. Cheers :-)

Indeed, Michiel Van Der Bos originally wrote a track called "highmen theme" for Age of Wonders, and later remixed it for Epic to use it in the Return to Na Pali expansion

Who knows, I already made a "remaster" of the original for a project I'm working on and off, maybe a proper remix will pop up some time in the future
If you did a remix of the part in Rjigar mines where the Skaarj comes out of the wall after the lights go out I think I'd wet myself.

The only problem I have with this is that the panflute taken from the otiginal is slightly out of tune.

I love this remix. 9.5/10.. Going to sound like a real dick here but take it as constructive criticism: I don't like the pan flute. Feels less unrealistic and more like donkey kong country flavor was just tossed in and makes it kinda cheesy and doesn't really fit with unreal's type of music elements. I think I kinda get what you were going for with the whole jungle type thing but to me it's just out of place. But that's just my opinion. Other than that it's still great.
Original is better , no offense , but nice remix anyway , at least it's a fresh version of it :D
