It is true that Gumayusi did not stand out in these finals, but he did exactly what he had to do when he had to do it. He already proved himself many times. This finals was about Zeus redemption and he totally smurfed
there wasn't even opportunity for him to shine, adc shines at those fatty elder teamfights at 40 minute, he showed his peformence whilst 2v1 ruler and 369 though..
True! He's always the insurance when things go wrong on the topside. He carries and steps up when needed. Also, he just proved his own theory that ADC is just an egg hahah when the noodles, water and soup base are good, ofc the ramen would still be good XD

Guma just went out there to destroy Gala in front of his teammates, then exposed a fed Ruler and 369 and called it a day lol. He doesn't need to do anything against WBG.

Guma already shown his class by destroying Ruler and 369 on a straight 1v2 in semis. This final is about Zeus claiming his throne as the best toplaner in the world, and Oner living up to his name as the Owner of the Rift. And of course, Keria is already the best support in the world and Faker is Faker.
Don't forget he also destroyed GALA 1v2 in quarters
In this Worlds, they were the best liners in the world without disagreement.

Amazing plays. But the best plays of the entire tournament were Faker's Azir shuffle, Oner's Ashe arrow flash over, Guma taking the fight into Gala, and Guma 1v2ing Ruler and 369.

I never stopped believing on this T1 roster, no matter the losses and years of not winning the summoners cup, we finally did it and we must be proud for them and for wherever these players may go, they gave us an amazing tournament!

watch caedral stream in finals, rhe draft was so bad. the pick banned useless hero. giving t1 the best draft.
Quarterfinals was about Guma and Keria shaking up bot side. Like Guma said, "They'll dictate the meta."
Semifinals was about Oner and Faker's synergy. They keyed up so well, major teamfights were won with either of them engaging and then following up.
Finals is all about Zeus. Just pure mechanical masterclass from him in the series.
Lastly, everything was planned, managed, and orchestrated by the coaching staff -- Tom, Roach, and Sky.
This team grinded for two years, they were consistently at the top but falling short of winning. They persisted and never wavered. I'm glad it culminated with them winning the cup.
I would say Zeus and Oner for finals sure majority of the spotlight was zeus but oner did his thing
not just T1'bot lane dictates meta, the whole T1 team dictate it, Zeus was the only person dare to brings yone and gwen to face aatrox, when jg tanks are meta when your team have lane carries, Oner shows a superior leesin and a nightmare noctune

Finals is Oner Zeus. Zeus can't do what he does if Oner did not check on Weiwei all the time.. Oner also helped Zeus when he was on weakside.
Finals not only about Zeus but about Oner too. Zeus was more in the spotlight with his higher damage but what Oner did and how he paved Zeus' way is unbelievable.
T1's biggest enemy was always themselves. They have the best in every role, they just needed the confidence and the right mentality in high pressure situations. Once i heard that after the close game with tl and loss against geng, that they opened up to one another, i knew they were gonna win this worlds no problem. This team in full potential is the best rn.
Only Guma has that mentality in high-pressure. Faker also agreed to it 👍
Bro I saw exactly that in their previous world games which is why I got disappointed a lot at and it also caused me to set high standards when watching them but they absolutely did justice and even got me teary eyed towards the end cuz they did not give up on themselves and came ready af 😭
Eh they had the meta read advantage on JDG, it was quite a close 3-1 with JDG in being in winning positions 3/4 games. If there was a loser's bracket and a rematch I'd give JDG 50% again. They were def the best team this tournament but I don't know about best in every role lol.
@@MiraPloythey literally lost therefore they’re not the best. LPL faboys can’t cope that T1 won 3-1. Whether the games were close or not, T1 won. Doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile, a win is a win and T1 closed out the games

The last one with Zeus reminds me of that classic meme of "I'm not trapped in here with you, you're all trapped in here with me".
T1 seemingly the only team that can draft on red side with a strong toplaner that can use counterpick. Zeus looked insane and executed his advantages so well; all of T1 was on a completely different level than any competitor.
I think it helped that Keria can also legit play anything in support so they don’t have to worry about bot lane matchups and can afford to counterpick top

They had to adapt. T1 lost the all coin toss against all four LPL teams.
@@PasserBy869T1 might have still chosen to go red side regardless of how the coin toss goes, they seem to not mind it at all.
I would like to add to this of that's alright. What makes T1 so strong this year is not their ability to counter pick from red side, it's the ability to fit that counterpick to a teamcomp which would still have 2 to 3 angles of winning conditions. All teams at Worlds cohld honestly choose a counterpick but T1 is the only team to both counterpick and keep their team comp cohesive in teamfights.
Please remember how Guma Single Handed save so much situation for T1 from that Bo5, he is in fact , the best AD and also the hottest AD
The best one definitely is the bard’s ult in 4th clip.
It neutralizes Azir Varus and Kennen’s ult.

Yea a couple of good portals ganks in the early game and then straight downhill performance from there.
Keria even dodged varus's ult at 2:23 and it even didn't hit the path of Faker but yeah, that play is disastrous

Just casually went 1v4 whilst his team was taking drag. Faker was feeling himself on that Akali pick. As if he hadn't already proved he was the best all round midlaner, he went out and showed he's still got the mechanics to pull off sick plays. Faker is the End of the Road.
t1 vs jdg was the real final.
this final is pretty boring to watch compared to last year in my opinion
@@mordred5476 to be fair last year final was the most clutch, close, heartstomping, 5 game dance that is gorgeous and probbably the best finals in league of legends history,
It even setup this year T1 story of redemption.

The first spot was literally highlights of all of them going all out zeus 1v4, followed by everyone going all out literal perfect teamfight for the end
The fact that most of these are just these guys playing as one cohesive unit rather than just “the carry got a penta” really is a testament to their skill as a team. Goated roster. T1 reigns again!!

Crazy thing about the #1 is Faker said on voice comms that Zeus won’t die before the whole team fight started. Faker’s shot calling abilities are so on point!
Considering that aatrox life steals items on that point. I knew he won't die. Azir got no damage, wbg bot and jg got no damage. It's no surprise he wouldn't die.

@@dejesusjosephmikhel3225 Yep, I'm of the mind to say that wasn't deserving of the #1 clip. It was less mechanical skill and just the utter abuse of a fed champ of Aatrox's caliber. It be more impressive if the champ surviving that assault was Gnar or another squishy/vulnerable champ. Its on par with a Tryndamere surviving at that point.

Guma is T1's final weapon if everything else fail, dude is a certified clutch player. The finals was too easy for Guma to be unleashed.

Zeus did have a lot of power plays. I feel like Faker's Azir play against JDG in game 3 semi-finals was a good contender for top 5.

Arguably the best top lane performance in the finals for a complete series. Zeus was unstoppable
last time SKT won worlds with prime flame was much was more dominate.

After seven years, the trophy is the worth prize for the unstoppable effort. In my country, people say that waiting is happiness but It is only happy when you know you can wait for what you expect. As a fan of T1, I accept the bet to wait for year by year, following T1's journey without knowing what the outcome will be. But finally, Faker and T1, they don't let me lose my bet. Thank you and love you all. I love this ZOFGK roster and still waiting for the re-sign from all of them

Not really. To me it's a missed skill shot not a dodge I wouldn't put it in my top5. When Ahri shows up to engage you know charm is going to happen. So as the support he moves to get infront of his ADC to ensure the charm will hit him and not the ADC. Then after Draven throws his axe he turns to move and the support maintains that spot between Draven and Ahri. It's not so much a sidestep as just knowing your role and what your teamate wants to do. Still a crazy high level play when you think all that was roughly 2 secs to make those decisions and be on the same page for it all.

I think play number 5 is just looking at a generic skillshot dodge by Keria, but the flash by Guma at 0:33 is way more impressive imo. Getting the axe and flashing Kalista-ult-Senna immediately lets him and Oner burst her out with nothing in return
Lets call it bot synergy they both synced their movement
So much this. I have no idea why they chose this montage where Keria has way better montage to choose from. Guma did more to T1 than Keria in this play.
Don’t forget Keria’s excellent disengage right when the play started at 0:21. Without that disengage T1 might’ve been wiped straight away

T1 was just supreme, it seemed like the deeper they got into worlds, the better they played. The win against JDG was already spectacular, but this was nothing short of a stomp. I admit I was a bit tired of seeing T1 win again and again, but this time they made it look spectacular. When WBG trapped Zeus, they were trapped with Zeus.

1. Faker's Azir push in semifinal against JDG
2. Oner's Rell flash combo over Ash's arrow against JDG in semifinal
3. Zeus's Gwen 1v1 TheShy's Aatrox
4. Keria's Renata 1v3 against JDG Game 3
5. Gumayusi's Varus 1v2 against JDG

T1 obliterated WBG and that's not even an exaggeration. This is one of the fastest Finals games that I have ever witnessed. That 3-0 was insane, to say the least.
