Hi Eric,That looked like like a nice layout to run round and pretty good speed as well I’ll bet you’ll be going back there soon the class 20 ran well cheers Al
I would love to however there was some drama going on from a select couple of people which is off putting. Sad as most of those there were lovely and its an excellent place
Hello Eric I would like to offer you to come to cauldecotte miniture railway on any Sunday from 1 till 5 and you may discuss with some of our staff about joining us and then you will be able to run your engines and rolling stock on our 3 1/2 inch and 5 inch raised track ( currently out of service to public ) or our 7.1/4 and 5 inch ground track. We are also hosting a NSU rally on the 18h of September and inviting clubb members to bring there engines down and run around the track there will be steam and electric, you MUST join before you may use the track I'm afraid however it's only 30£ a year and you can run as much as you want for more information please come down to caldecotte and speak to one of our members of staff. . The postcode is mk7 8hp Kind regards Callum
Hi Callum i have already been over to Caldecotte once last year to have a look, whilst the railway is very close by it is too focused on hauling passengers for me. Myself and a couple friends wanted somewhere close so we could run locos on an afternoon ect. They also said i wouldnt be able to run my steam locomotive unless it had a boiler test by the clubs tester, although already in ticket with a Southern Federation of Model Engineers cert on it that should be a recognised cert accross england, which i found an extremely silly rule. Sadly not meant to be. Cheers Eric
Not a problem I personally volunteer there for 4 years and never seen a problem didn't realise you had been before thank you for replying to my comment. From Callum

Did I see 7.5 gauge as well? Or all 5 inch?
3.5, 5 & 7.25” are all accounted for, 5” only for all the yards however.
@@UndergroundEric 👍 Thank you for your response Eric.
Some of your runs were off the rails! 😆
Haha, think its a combination of the length of my riding truck and a bad section of track, others said they could feel it too
may i know what made this class 20 locomotive?
Dan jeavons design from Steam & Diesel castings
