The thought of Red Heaven is awesome. Marx and Engels welcomes you. Then you have 3 choices: Farming the clouds, Protesting for Socialism or having a revolution. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Bailey_(Spanish_Civil_War_veteran) could this song be about this guy? This guy is the only bill bailey that I found who was a well known radical leftist.
i have no idea what this song means but it slaps
It's about sectarianism within the radical left. It cites names like Emma Goldman, a proeminant anarchist activist in north america, and the Socialist Labour Party. Both of these figures would be scoffed at by marxists, who disdain both anarchism and reformism. By the end, you get the head of the "marxist league" slamming the Gates of red heaven in Karl Marx' face for being close to Karl Kautsky and Ferdinand LaSale, proeminent figures in the 2nd international's hard turn to the right, and the transformation of the German Social Democratic Party from a communist party advocating for revolution into a bourgeois party meant only for running elections. The action of slamming the door in Marx' face is meant to ridicularize such sectarianism within the left, basically a commie version of "if Jesus came today christians would crucify him again".
Let me explain briefly: The Trotskyists see themselves in the tradition of Lenin, whereas the Marxist-Leninists claim the same but in fact mean Stalin. The left communists claim that both is the same and see themselves in the tradition of Luxemburg and Pannekoek. Whereas the Trotskyists claim Luxemburg was a Bolshevik and consider Luxemburgism a myth. The Stalinists hate both Trotskyism and Luxemburgism, which means that they also hate Lenin. The anarchists consider everything that has to do with organisation to be authoritarian and thus hate everything and basically consider Stalin to be a Lenin 2.0, in whatever respect. If the left communists agree in this respect, which they usually do, the anarchists go straight for beating up Marx. Meanwhile, the social democrats think everyone is a left-wing fascist. The reformist socialists once again can't choose sides and go nicely back into a governing coalition. Meanwhile, the left communists, council communists, libertarian communists have no clue what their differences actually are. The anarchists "spontaneously" burn a few bins, while the Trotskyists have been practising entrism for eons. Furthermore, the Marxist-Leninists who follow Lenin's tradition do not understand that this means they basically declare themselves to be Stalinists and are arguing with the Trotskyists over trifles. The Stalinists, of course, still think everyone is a petty-bourgeois deviation and cuddle around with the Maoists and even sometimes National Bolsheviks. The anarcho-primitivists don't have a clue and start to grow crops. In between, a few stray National Socialists walk through the camera. Sydicalists and anarchists start arguing about whether they should call themselves syndicalist-anarchists or anarcho-syndicalists, while the anarcho-communists look stupid. On the side, the left communists bash in the heads of the Trotskyists and Leninists, getting help from the Stalinists. An anarcho-capitalist asks for directions on the side. The Christian socialists don't know whether to pray for good weather or peace. Neo-Marxists repeat: "All I know is that I am not a Marxist". Supposedly orthodox Marxists argue whether the "permanent revolution" or the "stage theory" is correct. The Dengists, funnily enough, agree with the social democrats and reformist socialists that we all have to wait another thousand years to introduce socialism. The autonomists have no idea what they are supposed to be doing there and prefer to beg for more democracy in the workplace. All the while Musk, Bezos etc. are watching the spectacle from their new cybertruck.
I hope that was understandable for you, because it wasn't for me...
@@acezheng8148 Well, it's just a pity that in reality it's not a sensible mixture and merely reflects Stalin's own doctrine. Lenin himself said several times that Bolshevism is not universally applicable, but rather a Marxism applied to Russian conditions. Lenin would probably have ended up in jail himself at some point, according to his own wife. Instead, Stalin makes Lenin into a mannequin and gives himself credit, although Lenin strictly rejected the personality cult. And then some nutcase wants to tell me that I'm following a religion. The sentence that it was Stalin who shaped Marxism-Leninism and claims that it was a further development, namely his, makes no difference to its content. Whether Stalinism or ML, it remains Stalin's invented doctrine, just like Maoism. What if I were to go around saying, "Marxism-Leninism-Maoism-Titoism-Dengism-Hoxhaism" is the new doctrine? Making up some shit has nothing to do with the development of Marxism, neither do the constant variations of Dialectical Materialism, of which there are now also umpteen versions. Look at the crippled Chinese alone. Lenin's doctrine alone, not Stalin's, has proved how the proletariat can conquer power. Stalin at least made it clear to us that the workers and trade unions should not lose it.
I consider myself as a (Leninist) Bolshevist and if you are still not sure, remember all the Bolshevists killed by Stalin. So beat it...

I do believe in uniting the left to some extent, but trying to unite Marxists and anarchists is idealism at play. (As a Marxist,) our theories are fundamentally opposed from one other. Yes, our end goals are the same, but our ways of getting there are different.
Your theories are fundamentally opposed to reality

The one that isn't filled in is the flag of the USSR and the ones that is filled is found on the past ww2 Hungary flag, but I can't say for sure
The filled star is Stalinism, the unfilled one is Khrushchevism
@Pravda Yes, Stalinism, nobody takes offense when they call us Trotskyists, so stop complaining when we call you what you are, Stalinists.
@Pravda Stalinism is not a theory, it is a characterization given to Stalin's supporters; Trotsky also did not synthesize any theory of his own, Trotskyism is the name given to his followers.
@Pravda The Permanent Revolution is not an independent theory, it has become inseparable from Leninist practice. In short, it is the realization that it is no longer possible to form popular fronts with the bourgeoisie and that the proletariat must act independently even in backward countries. This was developed by Trotsky yes, but it is not because an author develops a concept that is already from a different branch of Marxism, otherwise we would have an ideology for every existing Marxist thinker. The Permanent Revolution is, in essence, a way of applying revolution in the context of modern capitalism, it is a method of practical action, Stalin also had methods, but they fluctuated a lot, he used one between 1928 and 1934 (sectarianism), another between 1934 and 1939 (step revolution, popular fronts with the bourgeoisie), and so on, the difference is that Trotsky's method is more enduring. It does not inaugurate a different revolutionary formation, as Mao Tse-Tung or Ho Chin Minh did, for example.
Some days Bill Bailey seems highly rational.

And then one night, there came a big fire and through the flame and smoke, As the firemen rushed in to save Pragers life, these were the words he spoke:
"Oh, you may be a friend of Benito (8); Louis the 16th(9) and you may agree, You may get along with Ol Spencer(10) and also with the NSP11).
