I think there is another book by one of Trump's team who mentions a few things about this case. The FBI were sandbagged took them weeks before they were given the name of Andrew's lawyers. Lots more stalling and then there was the young boy killed on his motorbike by the wife of a US diplomat. According to the book as the UK police obviously wanted her to comback to answer questions . The fix went in you don't get Andrew and we drop the case against the US woman. Now I now that's from a Trump flunky but still it has a horrible stench that you could believe could happen.
He wanted it. His Personal Secretary resigned after advising him against it and being ignored. Andrew thought he could answer a few prearranged questions, put his side of the story to the public and be exonerated. He isn't wily enough to give the non answers of politicians.
That is the responsibility of the media - to ask the questions. And keep asking them until honesty prevails. All too often, the media stop at the point that they think they have the answers that the public most wants to hear... Thankfully, sometimes things fail to add up enough and the momentum fails to fizzle out, so further questions need to be asked until reality is exposed. Most of the time though, royalty just needs to keep repeating the lies because that's perceived to be the populist view.
Yep, and all the public want to hear is "you are right, he's guilty". Everybody who watched the interview under the assumption of guilt, should do themselves the favour of rewatching under the assumption of innocence. It's an interesting experience. But they won't.

@@cmorecult yes, but guilty of what? paying a 17 year old girl for .. ahem .. services? at best that is his crime, from the evidence we have.
i wouldn't be surprised if there's more dirt under the rug but having known this girl doesn't seem like such a heinous offense
@@jonathanwalker8730 Yep 12 mil handed over to someone he never knew !
It wasn't until Prince Andrew was 15 that he found out that people put stamps on letters because it was about paying for postage rather than because they liked his mother. True story. A prince asked a holy man how he could achieve enlightenment. The holy man asked him if he ever forgot that he was a prince. The prince replied no. The holy man said "Then until you forget, you will never achieve enlightenment".
The fact that one woman is in prison and is now never even mentioned, is beyond belief.
Sorry I'm thick, which woman?
*edit: ohhh, _her_
It was the one time in his life where he had to stand on his own and face questions instead of fawning and grovelling lackies obeying his every word, an excellent interview, just handed him the rope and allowed him to do the rest
Absolutely exceptional, well done Emily Maitlis.
She did her job well. He brought down the Royals.
Emily's right she just asked the questions, it was Andrew's acts and answers that brought himself down.
Quicker we in Britain become a Republic the better.
The monarchy is a relic of a bygone age.
The sad fact is she didn't bring him down though. All we've learnt from it is that powerful people don't answer to the law.
There is no evidence that Prince Andrew broke the law, just unsubstantiated allegations.
I think you forget he didn't break the law
@@susandurrant6357 you really believed his interview and that he didn't sexually assault an underage girl, virginia giuffre?
We already know that. The striking thing about the Jeffrey Epstein child prostitution ring is that although several very powerful men have been implicated, ONLY foreigners have been prosecuted in the US. Rich men almost never go to jail for such offences anywhere.
@@susandurrant6357 The Court of Public Opinion doesn't seem to care about that. Easy to see now how the witches got burned,
He wasn't "brought down"... he's still free.
But does anyone have any respect for him?
You did a great job Emily of proving him for what he is.
I watched their interview at least half a dozen times & i just heard it now (i watched it again) I cannot believe that he said what he said & neither she or anyone picked up on it!
He said when she asked about when he was in J.E townhouse & HE replied “no, i was in Chicago, because the next day SHE (Virginia) and they all went to the island.” So he DOES know her!!!
How the interviewer didn’t register this answer is wild! HOW did we all not notice?! She needs to speak up about this because this is BIG!! This is HUGE!!
Brilliant interview by Emily. Excruciatingly embarrassing by Andrew. What was he thinking?! 😮
Love Emily’s humility ❤ her book is amazing, btw
Her "humility"? Or rampaging ambition? For goodness sake, is she a saint now?
A true journalist. Emily Mattis had only questions and not an agenda.
When she says “I only ask the questions” and JOB says “that’s al we ever do”! 😮😮😮😂😂😂😂
The very best of proper journalism
This episode was fascinating in many ways, not least of all the slightly more awkward moments between the two.
Very enjoyable to watch people being fairly genuine in these times.
An interviewer interviewing an interviewer.
Genuine are you kidding me ? This is a mutual admiration interview " Oh I knew what I had got " Pity they were not so keen on exposing the Rotherham grooming gangs .
@@rolandhawken6628 Aye . Smug on steroids .
She DID NOT bring anyone down! Prince Andrew surrounds himself with yes people! His ego, arrogance, sense of superiority, underestimating everyone around you, Let him down!
Listening to these two talk, you'd swear blind he'd been sent down for 20 years or something. He's still living the life of riley at the taxpayers expense last I heard.
Emily Maitlis needs to watch her back from now, remember what to Diana, and Jill Dando.
Maitliss “We ask the questions” O’Brian: “that’s all we ever do”. No you express an opinion
That's excellent answer " I think I just ask the question "
Love Emily she is a fantastic journalist. Could watch her all day.
Remarkable journalist!
Thank you for your work Emily
you looking forward to King Harry?
She's absolutely wonderful, brilliant journalist
You can bet your life, if the FBI said they would like to talk to me and i refused, they would be battering down my door at 4 in the morning and dragging me out..!! Prince Andrew refuses and nothing happens, its sickening
I don't think they have the right to batter down any UK citizens door.
When you are the FAVOURITE son of a Queen, he really did think he was above the law.
"I think I just asked the questions"
Love that. 👌
aye. Like Epstein "just held the parties".
@@happinesstan Do you had parties like that too? You seem very keen to defend nonces?
Excellent context information
Love her as a journalist. Don't know how I found James O'Brien but provides a great insight into what's going on with our neighbors.
Prince Andrew had the interviewing skills fox caught in a chicken coup. After all that posh schooling - he had zero awareness
Emily was great in the interview... can't believe lady Victoria Hervey bashes Emily as though she forced Andrew to mess up 🤷♀️
As long as Prince Andrew remains free, our children are at risk. It's outrageous that the tax payers are financing his royal lifestyle
Charles; 'Will you be my deputy?'
Andrew; 'No sweat... '
Andrew will be known as the Viceroy.
James O'Brian, Emily Maitlis, and Andrew Windsor: three of the most appalling C-list celebs.
my question is, during an investigation where there were allegations against andrew, why was he interviewed by the BBC and not the police?
Maybe because then if he ended up in court, his legal team would argue his trial had been prejudiced by “trial by tv” and he couldn’t get a fair hearing
Or is that Her Majesty’s Constabulary? Haha
@@soviet700 Yep Phil got them in their pocket.
Exceptional interviewing techniques. Completely masterful. Very thorough. Just outstanding. ❤🎉
"i just asked the questions" - class line
Excellent answer to the last question!

Now do Piers Morgan.
I absolutely believe that Emily Maitlis was hounded out of the BBC because of that interview with Andrew Windsor.
Still I ll bet she say it was worth it. Her David Frost moment!
I think she was hounded out because of her comments about Dominic Cummings and the government, don’t think the Sweaty prince had anything to do with it.
@@wanderingbrummie yes that as well! Although where is Cummings now?
Randy Andy was never going to need anyone's help bringing himself down.
This was a magic interview about one histories most disastrous interviews ever for the person being interviewed. 😂
Big deal, he slept with a girl who not only lied about her age but encouraged her friends too as well.
Who bragged to her friends "I slept with a Prince!" and was that devastated by what happened she slept with Andrew 3 times in 3 different countries, yeah real upset about what went down.
A child was trafficked, and this your rebuttal ?
@@johnniethepom7545 She lied about her age and encouraged her friends too! It could have happened to anyone, she threw he own friends under the bus too for money! Little Miss Innocent in all this, simple solution...don't lie about your age and don't encourage others too either.
@harrycallahan9143 Epstein is dead, and Gislaine Maxwell is serving 20 years for multiples of the same and similar offences. Anyone who colluded and took part would almost certainly be convicted . You can't sprinkle magic fairy dust over this, and it all goes away . Virginia Giuffre is recognised as a victim here in Australia. Fantastic work Emily. Bravo!
Wow would be hard to get two other people together with such high regard for themselves…
Yes, the recent Maitlis fervour is hard to fathom.
Seems nobody brought him down. He's still there, still living his life of the back of a nation who apparently still love him. The British are great at grovelling in front of the royal family regardless. So it seems, Emily affected nothing.
He lost his title that’s what they mean
@@mokhot
Dumping his title was the household's concession to all the baying wolves and seems to have worked. Accepted by all. They were still in control and it allowed him to continue his life with the same degree of freedom and authority. Even a relief one might say from all those annoying duties such as cutting ribbons. A blessing in disguise. He now has a wider freedom to do as he chooses.
She didn't bring down a member of the Royal Family.
Is he in prison? No. Is he still walking around freely? Yes.

Brought down? The man walks free
Exceptionally done so professional I was a open mouthed the whole time. It was a masterpiece.
So she was a very professional and experienced journalist, while andrew was clearly not an experienced interviewee. She had the upper hand. Does that make her a superior human being?
