Had this installed with a 600 cfm blower. The distance from the top of the counter to the bottom of the vent hood is 74 inches. So far, I'm not happy with the air capture. It needs a much stronger blower. In order to install a 1200 cfm system, it will need to be installed outside the house as a remote blower. That BITES. BTW, the two lights are pretty weak. And according to the manual, if they go out, Wolf tech needs to fix it. WHAT???? They should have lit up the entire frame also. Oh well.
What did you put the hood over? Did you get the 63” version or the smaller one? That can make a huge difference. As far as the lights go, they are LED and meant to accent the hood and give a glow over your cooking surface.
can these only be used for island cooktops? What about my cooktop against the wall? i hate hoods/ranges. They are an eyesore for tiny kitches.

Does Remote need to be hardwired or is it battery operated?
It is battery operated.
