I saw them live in Dublin and it was just incredible!! It was the hottest day of the year and no cloud in sight (since it was outdoors and all). People on the train ride back to the city centre all broke out into gorillaz song! Surreal !!
That part of DARE that was juuuust cut off in this video got me feeling like that part on a rollercoaster where you feel weightless on a turn but not in the thrill sort of way, just like you’re flowing through the sound yk
It makes me so happy that their new music these past few years gives me the same feeling that their old music did. They've never disappointed me. I hope they never stop making music.
19-2000 and EVERYTHING off their first record is all too amazing, Demon days follows up nicely and Plastic beach is outstanding, their first 3 hold dear special places in my heart
I'd argue that Plastic Beach is their most compositionally impressive album. Damon's talents really shine here with catchy, creative, transient tunes and fantastic instrumentals. It's one of the best studio records I've ever heard.
@@JustNoCups But G-Sides and D-Sides are not really albums conceptually, just compilations of B-sides, remixes and unreleased tracks. Like they're good songs, but I think they're on a different category.
This is why I call them my ADHD Comfort Band. Every single time I put their shit on shuffle it’s a different experience. Not a single song is like any of the others. AND I LOVE IT.
When I went to see them live in 2017, I deadass started crying when they played Feel Good Inc. Hearing it live is an experience I can't describe outside of the word "hype"
I saw them live just last summer! I jumped and screamed and sang for the whole two hours. There is no way to describe the feeling that washed over me when they played On Melancholy Hill, that song holds such a special place in my heart as my favourite song of all time and all I could do at the concert was cry. The build-up to Feel Good Inc. was totally insane too, the featuring artist made the audience go through a whole speech repeating after him and then at the end, repeatedly asked us if we were feeling good and bam, the first notes hit and the whole crowd just lost it! It was my first real concert too, had just turned 18 a couple months before and the feeling of the bass in my lungs and my shoes was indescribable.
They came to my country for the first time last summer and I'm never getting over how my friend went and rubbed it in my face simply because my parents forgor to get tickets on time, I am chronically jealous 💀
19-2000, Empire Ants, Rhinestone Eyes, Feel Good Inc, DARE, On Melancholy Hill . . . You basically put all of my favorite Gorillaz songs in this one video. The one change I would make is I would have El Mañana at the end with the crying uncontrollably
That's why they're the best. They have a song for every person feeling every emotion. They are definitely one of the greatest bands of all time, and I feel lucky I've gotten to experience them over the years. If there's one band that I can picture being listened to in 30 years, it's easily them.
I've been trying for a long time to find a way to put into words exactly what it is I love about this band so much and here you went and put it into visuals for me. Thank you
I was able to take my brother to see Gorillaz in concert for his birthday in October and It was absolutely incredible. I felt like the second clip the entire concert lol
I believe that throughout my entire life no song has ever made me cry except of Empire Ants. I don't even know why, it just made me burst into tears the first time I listened to it
the song that got me was Touch by Daft Punk off of Random Access Memories.....Something about that song is just so beautiful and just made me tear up...
I've seen them when they've recent went to Orlando and it was the greatest concert experience I've ever had. My 12 year old niece was with me singing every song and this video is the PERFECT visual😂
Once in top maths class, our teacher was in a mood and said we all need to listen to a song and he put melancholy hill on and the class was just in silence. That was 13 years ago and I haven't forgotten. Went home depressed af and listened to it again hahaha
Man I’ve been recently getting into Gorillaz and I’m obsessed with Cracker Island Also can we just take a second to appreciate how in every music video they give stories to complement lore since around the 1990s? That’s so epic!!!
This brings a big smile to my face 😭😭😭 I started listening Gorillaz two years ago and it's just an instant click....it's so easy to fall for their music. Yeah, probably there's one or two albums that I don't fully enjoy but overall they're amazing. Damon Albarn is that beast! And if you listen to Empire Ants without floating, are you even a human? 🤣🤣🤣 I knew you'd put a floating human here for that part 🤣🤣🤣 DARE makes me laugh so hard OMFG!!
Amazing memories to when I first heard Melancholy Hill. blasting Gorillaz in the car with my mom. I started sobbing my eyes out. Amazing how many emotions bands can make you feel! ♥️♥️
Every song drives waves of nostalgia and sadness.Every familiar beat or piano key reminds us of the fact that time marches on, and before we know it we will be all wrinkled up in a hospital bed, dying from lung cancer, seeing our childhood once again flashing before our eyes and we will be aware that tomorrow comes today.
It doesn't matter what song it is, all Gorillaz music makes me feel like I'm alone. But the worst part is, it also makes me feel like it's my own fault
