The video was awesome as usual. Loved the extras about the blade problems and fixing the blades. This is a Dream job for me. I would love to do something like this after I retire.
There was a knot sticking out 8" from the log and the metal went into the knot! It pushed the guard back into the blade. This was before we installed our cameras on it. Thankfully, we've never had a blade break on Slabzilla!
Thumbs up from another Cook thanks for sharing

Great video, beautiful wood, great Biblical history of the wood.
its one of my favourite woods, the smell is amazing, its natural oil is an insect repellent and is used to line the inside of some expensive furniture
It's amazing, isn't it? Thanks so much for watching!
Good video I enjoyed it. It was like watching mr. Rogers cutting wood

Are those as big as they get?
I'm curious what the story is behind that gash in the left blade guard on Slabzilla. Did a blade break & jump off the track?

@@CookWoods Oof, I bet that was an exciting moment everyone could have done without. I'm glad to hear it was nothing too bad.
Was it grown local?
Yes, it was!
Yall have some of the most beautiful wood I'd be in hog heaven. I'd work there for free
