That was the Japanese shinkansen, the high speed rail on different tracks, they did make a full high speed network so I am not trying to discredit thier achievement, but thoer standard trains are slower than ours, when the high speed rail is finished it will be 350kmph in India.
Japan did make the shinkansen and they are ahead in technology but you can't compare standard track trains to high speed trains with special tracks not a fair comparison. Compare to Japan's regular tracks (which are slower today).

Vande Bharat must be stopped.. It's only for showcase. It's already facing heavy loses. Instead, railways should focus more on adding more trains and providing things that a poor guy can't afford. Besides, vande Bharat is still very slow compared to other fast trains in the world.. This train is nothing but a joke.. No wonder brainless Bhakts like it.
You seem to have been struck with socialist mindset. A decade later people like you would complain why our railways are so behind.
The entire railway runs of heavy losses, but the fact that yuou point out only Vande Bharat is interesting to see... Anything new runs on losses for a while in our country and it needs time for people to get accustomed to it. Even Jio ran on losses for initial years during heavy offers & free trials but people are now enjoying it and paying the required amount for it. If you bark about quality then cry about losses then it is your victim mentality y'all keep focusing on negatives instead of long term vision.

Railway was spending 90 rupees and making 100 rupees back. Now railway is spending more than 100 just to get back 90 rupees.. Do you even know the cost of running that vande Bharat train? Instead of focusing on real problem, he gave a shining piece of toy and Bhakts thought that railways is changing.. The overall speed of railways increased but the distance is irrelevant. Trains are still late. Accident are happening.. What happened to kawach?? When they are going to install it on all trains? 2047?? Indian railways need more trains rather than shiny trains which cost more than airplane tickets. Indian passengers want cheap tickets, more coaches so that people don't have to travel in toilets or spending whole journey while standing. People want security.. So far the performance of vande Bharat is poor. Actual fast trains runs with the speed around 250 km. The creator of vande Bharat has himself said that building this train was a mistake. India Doesn't need this.. Rest, you can apply your mind on it. And by the way, since railways is in huge loses,. That means panauti failed? Are you still going to blame on nehru or ask some tough questions to your political papa? 😂

Though I'm BJP supporter, this time I stand with Congress. Ecology & green cover is much needed than development of Nicobar Islands. Because human cannot survive without green cover. BJP government has said it'll do compensatory afforestation in Haryana. But why to destroy natural ecosystem, foodchain, green cover, purity, peace of that place. Is this the so called development, than I'm totally against this project. & Actually it's not development, it's "deterioration". We can development Singapore like cities in various other port cities like Kochi, Kanniyakumari, Mangalore, etc....why Nicobar just because it'll not require capital expenditure??? Like seriously?? The problem is we people are taking environment much granted. Whichever projects is in planning phase, it's many a times considered as a green field project.
