This song really hit deep for me. And not for the same reason as other people (well, not exactly). The only friend I had growing up was my yellow lab pup Sam. He was my best friend ever. Had him since I was 5 or 6, so he came up to 13 years old!!
But then I lost him back in July (July 10th; so this is VERY recent) we had to put him down. Didn’t know he was actually being put down, I wasn’t told until it already happened. I wanted to be there for him but I guess my dad didn’t want that. Not doing that good tbh, I miss him a ton. He may not be a human/of my own kind, but he was my best friend nonetheless. I mean, I found a friend in him when no one wanted to be my friend, so I loved him very much. Wish he didn’t leave so soon and so suddenly.
