    Those flex heads are made by Kabo Tools in Taiwan. There is not a rebrand for them. 😢They hold patents on a lot of the little ratchet parts. Kabo does not sell tools in America they only make tools for tool companies. They make excellent quality wrenches.

    I would love to try those matco flank bit wrenches but I don't have a matco dealer these days.

    Those wrenches can be used as regular wrenches , you need the standard and metric because you will round it off if you have the correct size sae or metric you will NEVER round it off just used them last night they are badass they have helped me out a lot when I work on something someone has screwed up before haha , so get the SAE and metric .

    I think you use those wrenches only on rounded fasteners. If it's a rounded 19 mm you use the 18 mm wrench.

      I've tried that and it still didn't have the bite the flank drive plus wrenches have

      I just bought the icon version of those flex head wrenches, and they are pretty amazing. I’m surprised at the quality of them.

    The only USA made flex head wrenches I know of are not combo. They are this Matco double box end set: www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/SRFBZLM102TA/10-PIECE-0-FLEX-RATCHETING-EXTRA-LONG-WRENCH-SET/
    Otherwise you’re looking at New Old Stock Matco, Armstrong, and Craftsman on eBay.

      I'm looking for the shorter ones, snap on has some double box end kind of like the ez red style.

      @@montevallomustang that’s right, I forgot about those. Like I said, I know Matco, Armstrong, and Craftsman used to offer them (the shorter ie regular length combos). I’m guessing they were made by Armstrong. They had a little directional arrow under the ratcheting end: www.ebay.com/itm/USA-CRAFTSMAN-INDUSTRIAL-Locking-Flex-Head-Ratcheting-Wrench-Set-SAE-INCH-7pc-/283843507612?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

    Bro I bought the Astros for $58 on Amazon. They work really good so I’m not really sure what the deal is? I wonder if anybody out there has ever done a side-by-side with them? Sorry bro they didn’t work for you.

      The only reason I bought them was I won a contest and had a shopping spree on the matco truck. Im sure they are made by astro

    I don’t get it either. My co-worker owns and loves those Matco wrenches you showed on the right. I was like, nah, I’ll stick with my flank drive plus, I’ll ask him how he uses them and add to this comment,

    • @montevallomustang
      @montevallomustang  4 года назад

      They don't seem to be well made, they are a lot lighter than the snap on wrenches.

    I hate matco. They don’t make any of their own tools. Not even the core, basic hand tools. I understand rebranding some items, but to not even make your own wrenches, sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc is pathetic.
    I’ve used a coworkers matco wrenches and they just slip all the time. Not a fan. Wont buy anything matco.
