How is it you don't have 1 million subscribers? You are about the only channel I've found showing just why I want to travel. I don't care about how others made their vans as much as I want to see the country. You two show the most beautiful spots. Love
Thank you Skeeter! We appreciate your kindness as our main goal is to show of these amazing free lands and hope you get a chance to visit. We hope you have as much fun as we do! It's truly relaxing and calming during these crazy times.😀
Oh my goodness! I've watched HUNDREDS of YT videos about vanlife as it's a lifestyle I'll be embarking on myself but have NEVER seen a hummingbird clip and I just LOVE that!!! SO special! Thank you for thinking of doing that and sharing it here!!
How you and carrie are not at 100k is beyond me ....her eye with the camera your remarkable drone footage dave....You have the best quality videos out here I am awe of both of you Have fun with your friends Blessings
Beautiful photography and drone footage. Love the hike, the lakes, the friends, Roodle playing and the hummingbirds! I don't remember the couple in the black van, but FL Tiny Living Festival is where I met you both, after following you for some time. Keep up the beautiful work! I continue to enjoy your travels and adVANtures!
Good morning Dave, Carrie & Roodle ! What a lovely spot, awesome video footage ! Nothing like sharing wonderful moments with good friends ! Safe travels everyone & keep smiling !
Great to see you guys with friends. OMG the hummingbird footage and caterpillar 🐛 geez, National Geographic has nothing on you Carrie! When I saw the footage of the 4 crows or blackbirds I thought how appropriate since you were with 4 friends. Love watching your channel and adventures 👩🏻🤝👨🏼🚐🦮♥️
Loved that hummingbird! I could watch him/her for hours! Wyoming was just spectacular! I’d love to be National Geographic status! Not quite there yet! Funny about the crows.... I didn’t even think of that!
Nice to see you guys with friends! I am looking forward to the freedom of living on the road. Meeting new people is exciting as well. Love the hummingbird feeder... Ahhhh, life on the road - looks great! Sure is a beautiful area. Love that little river... Breathtaking views on that trail! Another great one, guys! 😀❣
Fabulous videos love the hummingbirds too! Enjoyed so much thank you for sharing! Making a bucket list of where to go from your travels! So spectacular!!
Another enjoyable video that shows us how living the van life is such a nice way to live. A lot of fireweed grows near my home in Washington. An old dear friend always made "fireweed jelly" every year. It was a beautiful lavender, clear like jelly that kinda tasted like honey. And we too, enjoy red huckle berries on our excursions near Mt. Rainer. ☺🇺🇸
I can totally see fireweed jelly tasting like honey as that's what the blossoms tasted like. Yum! Mount Rainier sounds like a great place to spend the warmer summer months around. We just missed it this year but will be back to visit at a later time....not in the winter. 😂
What a beautiful place and great video work. New SUB here. We laughed out loud when we saw the gravel roads because we had a rough experience with google maps picking some bad roads for us in the Grand Teton area, as we try to see all the National Parks. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the sub! Welcome aboard. We tend to stay away from the National Parks just because it is much harder with a dog. But we love boondocking, hiking, kayaking, and pretty much all thinks outdoors!
Great video, we have bird feeders just outside the kitchen window. Between the squirrels and birds its intertainwining. Good luck with the back packing and I will be looking for the video. Always a thumbs up 👍
Wow.....just, wow🙌🏽🙌🏽 The ukulele jam session was a vibe. The sun setting over the Teton mountain range was stunning🤩 I was so happy to see you guys with friends. You looked so happy!😊 you all are living the life for sure. Thank you for sharing🙏🏽 Hey Roodle!☺️
Hi! What a wonderful video! Great to watch while drinking my morning coffee. What an awesome area. The views of those mountains is amazing. So glad you were able to camp with friends. Good times and good memories. Love the jam session....perfect. That hummingbird shot was so cool. Loved that lake hike, just gorgeous...the lake was stunning. I am looking forward to your backpacking video. Love that you are learning about wild edibles! Wonderful video...great job! ❤
It's so much fun camping with friends and learning about new things( like wild edibles). I love this lifestyle so much! We can't wait to share our backpacking video. Right off the start we were nose to nose with 3 moose! 😀
Good thing I'm going to be in a Suburban since I don't have a ukulele. Lol. You guys make me want to get a drone every time you upload! Beautiful photos, as usual, Carrie. You're such a good photographer. 🙂
Our pleasure! We love to be helpful! At some point in the future if our channel keeps growing we might have to not include GPS. We do get criticized already that we are ruining these spots by listing the gps coordinates. We feel that the people who are watching out channel and going to these spots love them as much as we do and will take care of them.
Old school day lily's flower's [orange ]are great in eggs or with other things cooked in frying pan...plants that people planted around homes back in the day many are for eating..grape leaves fried in oil [coconut oil ]are light and like chips and cook in a second..
Hi Folks. We really like your videos. We just bought a Transit to build out. Can you tell me how high is the bottom of your bed from the floor and how thick is your mattress? Is that a queen size mattress? Also, how do you fit bikes under it without being too high? Thanks and Happy Travels.
My wife and I watched this one and her first comment was..............when we get started hopefully we can meet people along the way to travel and/or do stuff with. Happy Trails🦮
Carrie was just using her iphone 10 on the hummingbird. Most of our trail shots our with a GoPro 7. I had to ask ask Carrie the same question with the hummingbird shot 😂
Want to make sure you guys know about the wild fires in northern Cali. Nevada smells like campfire and is smokey in some places. The sunsets and sunrises here in Illinois are spectacular because of them.
+Michele Elliott yes the fires are terrible! All our California family is safe and we have been hanging out in Wyoming.... but we will be in Montana in a week or so to work the sugar beet harvest in October
Seems like a wonderful lifestyle..........how do you support it financially? I've gone to the Tetons many times, but then I have to rush back to home in Texas.
Between our RUclips channel and our Patrons we are making about 3/4 of our monthly income. We are picking up seasonal and odd jobs along the way to make up the difference. We will be working the sugar beet harvest in Montand this October. Our hope is that our channel continues to grow and support our monthly expenses.
@@oneadVANtureatatime God Bless You on your travels.......telling about the sugar beet harvest should disinvest some folks of the idea that van life is all fun and play.
First my son lives in Jackson. I'm told he lives in a Van. Second I'd like to know how you're able to afford this travelling you do. Do you have jobs? It takes fuel and upkeep to go to these wonderful places in the Van or camper whichever? I would love to do this.
Um, could you guys slow down a little? My list of places to go is getting pretty long already and I haven't even left yet. Great shots and info as always.
😂 We will be slowing down for the month of October while we work the sugar beet harvest! Then we will be hard at it again. Hopefully a little bit of snow camping. 😎
Another great/informative video! Your friends... we are curious if they, too, are able to make income from RUclips, or if they can "work from home." Thanks.
I don't like to criticize.. I really don't. I appreciate your videos and really enjoy them. I do. But (there's the but) you need to take that external mic you use, place it under the front tire of the Promaster, and run it over 16 times. Then take the remaining electronics and place them in whatever fire you have for the evening. Seriously man, this has gone on long enough. Time to upgrade. Still love it, and will still watch it. Just a suggestion 😃✌️🙏👍
+S N oh gosh! Tells us how you really feel😂I do have to admit the sound was terrible this video! I didn’t notice it on my laptop but When we rewatched it on a friends tv i could tell it was not good 😕I HATE AUDIO!!! It’s a pain in my backside! I think the problem might not be our mics. I’m thinking it is my editing. Question? Is the sound bad on every video? Thanks for the feedback and for sticking around!!!
+S N also can you give a little more feedback. Sound in general? Switching from scene to scene? Music to voice? Other than running over our microphone and camera equipment 😂 how can I improve? Please and thank you!
@@oneadVANtureatatime It might be In post. The audio levels from (what I assume is an external or wireless mic) that Dave usually wears are way higher than your other levels. Yes, I do watch all RUclips on a 56'' tv with surround sound, so maybe I can hear it pretty clearly but you can't hear it editing on a computer (tiny speakers).
