I too was late to the Vanquish scene. I got the Phoenix kit when it came out and had a blast building it and was just amazed at how well it performed. Then I got the Carbon Kit...Wow!
Great review and commentary! Really good job. I have a vanquish phoenix and I put HW fusion SE 1800 in it. I might have the pinion too tight against the spur gear but I get some clicking when driving it. I only have the digs connected but might have to put a servo in for the OD. I don’t know but it’s probably the truck I run the least. I like the element Ecto and the redcat ascent more but that’s just me, and I’m still pretty new to the hobby.

Zoku makes a great chassis...not cheap but complete plug and play with parts from stock frame....except for 2 micro servos needed

Check your endpoint for the dig, if it’s moving too far it can cause clicking. You should def hook up the OD, it’s a great feature to have.

Drive it like that for a while then, when the time comes swap everything over into a Rock Pirates chassis and it’s a totally different truck!

Zoku retains stock body mounts aswell.....as is or not your gonna love it....and unfortunately your gonna want to buy it things

Its a kit.....rtr means no interior and no bedsides....can be added later but ohhh....pricy
Vanquish is def $$$. Cant even find cheap brass portal weights
