I’ve been having a big problem on eBay auctions. I will win a card for a low price and then the pay but the seller will ghost me and never respond, or they will cancel the order! Anyone have the same problem or any tips?

Not much you can do, if they refund you that’s about the end of it

Rate them poorly and report them to eBay. There’s a reserve option for a reason.

What ever happened to collecting. Kind of sad to just look for stuff you can grade to sell and make money. That isn't a "hobby" you are turning it into a job which is fine if its your job. But grading is fucking stupid. People grade everything now and it is dumb as fuck.
Graded cards are the absolute worst. Takes up too much space, cant see refractors as well, and it's just a waste of money. Put your cards in a mag loader and call it a day. Unless it's like a 5k+ card that needs authenticated and stuff then sure, grade it. But grading sub $1000 cards is a waste of everybodies time.
Im sure some people like slabs but I absolutely loathe them. If you want to protect cards fine but screw grading, it has ruined the hobby completely. Everything does not need to be slabbed up, safe it for special cards.

I get what you’re saying, my PC is void of slabs at the moment. I like mags in perfect fit sleeves. More compact and look better. If I end up with a slab for PC I’ll crack them and store them in my standard. But everything not going into my PC is for sale. I plan on trying out grading because otherwise I’m leaving money on the table that could go to my pc. I’ll likely keep my pc forever because I document my favorite teams best moments in it.
All that said there is room for all types of collectors.

I think it's ok to buy to sell to help fund your hobby. Doing it strictly for profit takes far more effort and luck to be worth doing as your full time job. However those who make that work, I give props to them for the work they put in. It's not like majority of people are capable of doing it. Very few compared to the many who fail.
I agree mostly. It's supposed to be a hobby. For Collecting and fun. But to some, the fun is in the work to make profit.
