We people have differences in taste and preferences, she made the wrong recommendations for the food, I as a Filipino won't recommend those chocnut to the older ones because I know it's not befit even in the taste, in comparison to a toy game, it's like she recommended a marble game to a 40 y/o instead of basketball 😬 that's one of disadvantages of the non pro people, we call them jologs😁
There are some people who ate chips with rice but it's very rare, mostly doing it are kids who are picky eater and some are those who don't have choice just to have energy 😢
RE: Chippy I know I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this... but I am not a fan of Chippy. For me, only the first bite of Chippy has any taste. The subsequent bites are absolutely tasteless...almost like eating cardboard. RE: Stik-O If you still have the container, take a look at the mascot on the label. Doesn't it look a bit like Will Poulter? RE: Choc-nut I love choc-nut. In the early 90's, I brought Choc-nut with me while on business trip to Japan. When the customs inspected my bag, the customs guy saw the choc-nut. Then he asked -- kore ha nani? (what is this?). I said, CHOCOLATE. Then the guy squeezes the pack of chocnut. Maybe he was trying to feel the chocolate, but ended up mashing the contents.. :( Then he said, "Chokorehhhto???" Then I said, YES, CHOCOLATE COCOA POWDER. :(
can't believe you dislike Chocnut when you like polvoron. they're very similar in my book. i'd have alternated sweet and salty so as not to tire the taste buds. (you may want to correct the spelling of the video title :-) )
Remember Famous Amos? That chocolate chip cookies remind me of that. I wonder if it tastes the same lol. ChocNut is mixed peanut butter and some chocolate. That’s why they look like that lol. It’s more peanut butter than chocolate so it’s easy to confuse ChocNut as chocolate due to the name lol. A lot of those Filipinos grew up with. It is something they craved when they didn’t have the money to buy it, and it is something they craved after getting the money to buy it lol. Some takes “getting used to” for your likeness to build up lol. One thing you would notice about Filipinos is that their palate in fast food or snacks are tied with childhood favourites. That’s why up to today the adults still favour many childhood flavours lol.
Choc nut for me personally isn't as good as they were before. If you want to give choco peanut another shot then you should definitely try "Hany". They're not as dry as Choc Nut and they taste way better
Marty's Reminds me of the Mexican Junk Food Snaks hehehe the one with *Limon..but you know what i do to those Smarty's? I smash them and add it in my Fried stuff...as suppose to bread crumbs .. hehe it works...
Wow! I love all of them! Chippy and Clover Chips bring soooo much memories for me though. Oishi dipped in vinegar is delish with hot white rice😊 Pillows are best eaten frozen....dang I love them all! You did not like Choc Nut 💔💔😢
The techniques of eating those delicious snack is to eat it alternately the sweet and salty don't eat sweet straight coz won't get the right taste of each after fed up of those sweet so u must eat alternately sweet after salty after sweet again and salty again so that u can really taste it properly before you judge it 😂
ohhhh boy!!! I see some of my daughters fave there... Growing up in California in the 70's and 80's, we had limited Filipino snacks. I ony tasted some of those whenever i come home for a visit or someone from the Ph would bring it for us.. THe 90's was a different story altogether. Filipino stores were starting to come about and these snacks were readily available. Since i am a bit familiar to some, Chippy would be my go-to Flip Snack. Red Chippy was the most favoured ones. The Clover Chips was one of my fave and that was about it. haha NOwadays, there are too many to choose from. I like the ones from Regent which if i am not mistaken produces the Sweet Corn and Snacku. Oishi is another fave the new crazy ones like Marty's. I still love my *Lays though, all flavors.. BTW How's Viet Geoff?
They were all new to me, Alan. 😂 Vietnam is great. I am still trying to adjust. This video being a perfect example. I scheduled it for 6:00 your time while I was still there but I my mind didn't register that Saigon was an hour behind you so I wasn't expecting it to be out yet😂

Unfortunately I am no longer in the country, Eric so I can't have a look at it. 🥲
How about cooking Filipino foods, for a change.
Mostly because I can't boil water😂

Mogo mogo jellies is called nata de Coco. Next time you should try the boy bawang a corn with slice garlic and also the ding dong a mixed nuts.
Great tips. Thank you

Boy Bawang is a brand name and boy there refers to a person @@PureDetour
