Nick, great video. Real world rough shooting. I find that if you can catch them early on the muntjac they soon learn to ignore them. We have loads here in herefordshire.

They are a bloody nightmare! Her Dad “Percy” was just as bad but we got him sorted….guess what I will be doing over the coming weeks 😉 🏃 cheers Nick

And yet they can all differentiate between the sounds.

Thanks Nick😀. A good account of a typical hunt. Our dogs make mistakes, we make mistakes and if we didn't enjoy the good stuff, a good find and flush, a good shot and retrieve we would take up another sport. Those Muntjac look like oversize Rabbits in the video, how tempting for Twig.

All the dogs seemed to know it was the last walk-up hunt of the season! They all wanted in on whatever action was about! 😅 Good approach : enjoy the day and fix the issues later.

Great video Nick thanks for sharing, just a quick question what mode of shooting car do you use now?

I have a VW Caddy now, cheap to run and easy to get stuck on the mud 😂 Maybe time for another Landrover ! Cheers Nick

Thank you Nick! Glad to see you're alright. Praying for you and your family. Is that you first woodcock this season?

Thanks for your kind words. This wasn’t my first woodcock this season but it will be my last! In fact Twig also flushed a couple but I couldn’t get a shot, they are the most testing of quarry for dog and Gun. Take care cheers Nick

Love your videos nick, will you ever swap to pointer / setter/ springer ?

Thank you for your kind words. I don’t think I would change breed, I like the character of the cockers although they can drive you mad sometimes 😂 My first gundog was springer and I enjoy watching all gundog breeds but cockers just make me smile. Cheers Nick
