Fix for GTA V won't load - kept quitting from Rockstar Launcher, PC

- This week GTA 5 wouldn't open, something of a problem when you have an almost exclusively GTA 5 channel... I'd click on 'Play' on the Rockstar launcher, wait a few seconds and then the game would try to open in full screen and then just quit. I spent hours looking for solutions until I finally traced it to an issue with an NVIDIA driver that I had to update manually in Windows 11. This video is to try and save you the hours I spent fixing it! Please let others know of any different fixes that might have worked for you...

I don't know what to do, I updated my graphic cards, updated Windows, checked integrity and reinstalled the game, still not working...

Unfortunately did not work for me. I played GTA V a few years ago on the very same computer, now I freshly installed it after few years and did not manage to launch it. Tried everything from this video and other videos and forum threads. Nothing works for me :(
I've tried all these steps and sadly it still has the same as your beginning screen. It says it's loading and that's it. I even purchased a new GTA (as I used to have the old free GTA via Epic that didn't work at all. I can't even close the Rockstarr App.

@@ghoulsamv274 eventually I just switched off my firewall and removed the anti virus til it worked. and it did!

@@ghoulsamv274 to be fair I didn't use steam, I used epic games before. I bought the online GTA again for a tenner or so and for rockstar only. so no steam or epic games involved.

Guys I Found a Solution I guess Its Caused by Outdated Version of NVE It Causes Your game to quit automatically coz i tried this and uninstalling NVE Made that fix i regert reinstalling my game lol Wasted 5 Hours

All the instructions were pile of shit nothing worked for me. Maybe not all cases are same but I still see the same "Quitting game" message.

Thank you! For some inexplicable reason, I suddenly couldn't launch the original GTA 3; it kept closing in the Rockstar launcher. To resolve this issue, I took the following steps:
I navigated to the Documents folder in OneDrive and deleted the Rockstar Games folder.
Then, I went to my Documents folder as usual and removed both the GTA 3 User Files and the GTA Thrice Files folder, which I had previously installed as a mod.
This successfully resolved the problem. I suspect the issue was related to the mod folder because it began after I installed and uninstalled the Thrice mod. It appears that the leftover mod files were causing the Rockstar Launcher to close unexpectedly.
I did every single thing right. and I have no Idea why it is still not working:(

none of this worked, have exact same issue on rdr2, and im 100% sure my pc can run it, but the launcher wont let me:( any other ideas?

Didn't work for me....checked my documents to backup my stuff for re installing windows and tried deleting the GTA v profile in it and it worked

I reinstalled windows, didn't even think to update my drivers. I was using nvidia drivers from december 2021 LMAO
The game launches on my second user but on my main user it doesn't. Something is blocking it from starting and i don't know what it is. Do you have an idea of what it could be?
How frustrating - prob best thing bar signing in/out is to contact Rockstar support to ask if problem with that account. Good luck 🤞
I've had this same issue for a couple months, removing one-drive and redirecting the documents folder to the default windows location fixed it for me

Hey man I am pretty late lol, but when I click on GTA app it says "Rockstar Games Launcher Redirector" and will take me to the Rockstar app, when I click play on steam (I bought it on Steam) it will take me to Steam but wont open the game. I dont know if you said it in the video because I had no time to watch it but is there a way to solve that?
it loads with me but with first mission when micheal comes in control it says gta 5 not responding and quitting why ?

Dude i had the same problem on steam and rockstar games launcher so i deleted the game and installed it on the ssd hard drive and it worked

Pretty much tried everything here 3 times and did a clean install but nothing works
I got a.problem w installing it when it gets to 100% it goes back for like 3% and the needed amount to download increeses by like 300mb after it does that like 3 times it just sais error not even whitch one and it isn't storage space since I got like 2tb of storage more
my game stops to work afterr that i try to add some mods ? i just find an other solution if someone got the same problem : just discard the lastest files that u added and try to lunch the game , after the luncher gonna say u some files are misiing and u just have to click on dowload if someone can help me to install like menyoo all the tutos are bullshit or im just dumb
After days of fault finding sorting issues with the rockstar launcher its self and using multiple drivers and fresh os install found the advice of deleting one drive very helpful my game now works perfectly thanks

Yeah I think I give up on this, I can't even close rockstar games launcher from my task manager it will stay open in the system tray. What a joke. It normally opens and just shows it's loading the launcher forever and on the off chance the launcher does work it won't start GTA V. I'm at reinstall 6 too.

update: so updating the graphics card didn't fix it, so I cleaned out my entire gta v directory and started a fresh install. I also uninstalled rockstar launcher and social club and will reinstall it when the game finishes dowloading. I found out that I needed to update .net framwork and visual c++ and that fixed other games I own, so that should fix the issues with gta v.

my graphics card was up to date recently and the issue was still occurring. There was a new update for my Nvida drivers today, so I will see if that fixed it.

I tryed everything i have downloaded mods and after that i preseed play and it just show me a black screen after that it just quits like an idiot
if your problems still persist after watching restart "file explorer" through task manager and it should fix your issue.

-Update nothing worked so far but when i did integrity it founded 73 files and now its downloading smh but i use tons of graphic mods and car mods so might mods are outdated ill update here
It was a mod or script that was my problem remove those folders out the main folder and see if that was the problem. Then add them back one by one to see which one is the problem
