I’m Dr. Dana Brems, also known as Foot Doc Dana. As a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), I treat everything from trauma including broken bones, other sports injuries, foot wounds, calluses, thick or ingrown nails; you name it! Being a #doctor is a serious job, but we can have a lighthearted side too. That's why I created this channel- to make medical themed #shorts videos for fun, while also helping to answer your questions.

She said a few weeks? WEEKS????
Yup.
People carry around foreign objects for years some times.
@@AndrewBlacker-t1d oof.. have you heard of those women who have like calcium shells that have been in there for years with like, babies still in them but, passed away? It's sad and weird
@@AndrewBlacker-t1d when I remember those types of things now it's kind of hard not to believe that this guy had a splinter in his foot for a few weeks
@@Rosie-ninithat's their body calcifying the stillborn fetus to prevent any damage from the dead body
Yes , it's also easier to pull out then , bcs your body pushes the object out a little, and can even push itself out if the object was small

Fun fact: one time I was dancing, and I stepped on a toothpick, it went in horizontally. Like half of it was in my foot. And my dad pulled it out. I wonder how my foot is not broken yet.
Don’t walk outside with bare feet 😳🦶😫
But I love walking barefoot lol

Get tough. Live! Doctors are available when things go poorly.
Or, at our house, inside either. Our landlord's an arborist and this happened to my roommate who walks barefoot in our house a lot.
Ill never complain about a splinter ever again
Those air quotes were needed🤣
How does that get in and you don’t feel it?😂
That is totally absurd
Stuff happens.
It's not absurd.
They did feel it or they wouldn't be there
They might have neuropathy or other nerve damage. Could have been completely numb or dulled a lot.
There are plenty of things that can mess with the nerves in your feet. There is something about being diabetic that causes your feet to go numb.
My mom can’t feel her left leg because of a stroke. She does injury inspections regularly.
NOW THAT was unexpected and i know it hurt 😢
The Moment it got pushed Out, i got a slight Heart Attack 😅
Drama queen.
@@AndrewBlacker-t1dpeople might have trauma from a thing like this so stop assuming.
"A whole tree" got me 😂
I felt such relief for them right after!!!!
Imagine the relaxation that the person got
I can't imagine the relief when it came out.
The relief he must feel
BRO'S GOT A WHOLE TREE IN HIS FOOT
Oh my gosh, that relief must have felt insane
The splinter really popped out like “wassup bro”
Dang, whenever I watch this girl’s videos, I AM IN PAIN…..
when you think you stub your toe but you miss
"Splinter" thats a whole entire tree💀😭🤚
How that man was walking is truly a mystery
That mans planning to kick vampires.
That scared me so much 😢
That splinter was READY to come out!!
that jump scared me
This is the first time I see this, since I was a kid!
I was 10 years old and went swimming. I stepped on something sharp. I couldn`t get it out, so walked around it for a few days. It got swollen and then I tried to pull a tiny black spot out of my feet. It was a big ass thorn! It was half the length of what you saw in the video but double the thickness. And it came out broad side first and not with the pointy side! This to this day astonnished me and I sometimes think this wasn`t real, since no one else had such an experience!
:-D
Okay enough shorts for now… I already feel it in my feet.
I was getting goosebumps while watching this😞
Bro stepped on a tree😭☠️
Bro got the doorstop in his whole foot
Btw, my sister had an entire nail that pointed through both sides of her foot, she recovered, don’t worry.
I have seen one bigger, and it was horrifying! Saw it when I was a kid, and I have never forgotten it.
“I love feet hat”
That's not a splinter, that's his entire tibula coming out through his foot
dana u deserve more subs so thats why i am subbing. love ya❤
Bro i got jumpscared harder then i got in fnaf…😂😂
For a second I thought that was blood spewing out
HOLY I THOUGHT IT WAS A NAIL FOR A SECOND
SAME 😭
Me too
Im speechless...
You gained a sub...
I was expecting a splinter not the whole Eiffel Tower.
My guys a vampire! And an ant realized it!!
That ain’t a splinter that’s a shredder
I thought it was a stick
This stopped me from walking barefoot
I threw my phone and cringed up so hard when that popped out
I’m just sitting here going “nope. Nope. Nope.”
Thats not a splinter thats my fan
TIMBER!!! That ain’t no splinter that’s a whole ass tree!!
imagine walking with that in your foot😭
Dana is too pretty
Bro got the whole tree
I wish i was a funny doctor like you😊
Reminds me of the turkey thermometer. 😂
Nurses at school be like: Oh you'll just need and ice pack and it will dissapear
Ouch. A few weeks, that would have me screaming within seconds
Im sorry, please forgive me, but I am NEVER going to even take a STEP outside of my house wearing a cap that says "I Love Feet"
If I get a splinter I sometimes put some cream on it to prevent bacteria getting in my food which I recommend people to do and then just gently pull it out but if it’s that long just go to the doctor honestly -_-
You just earned a new sub
Bro must have kicked a very temperamental plant.
that foot turned into a jack in the bix
He was turning into groot 💀
Harry Potter:Now you guys know where did I get my wand💀
harry potters wand ☠️☠️
This what happen when you go barefoot in the woods.
i got a whole stick of mechanical pencil lead stuck in my foot and had a similar doctors experience, oof
WEEKS IS CRAZY BRO LIKE
"Oh yeah ive just had a damn tree in my foot for weeks, so yeah"
The doctor: 💀
Awwwwww that cud be painful 😖😖
Splinter jumpscare, I don’t know if to laugh or cry 😂😂😂😭😭😭
Looks like an olive tree thorn. I had an olive tree for a while and the thorns would usually get up to 2 inches in length. Sometimes even longer, I’ve got my toe impaled by one and it left a bump that to this day, prevents me from bending my toe all the way.
Walking on cheap boards barefoot is a guess. Climbing a cheap fence barefoot is another guess.
My stomach dropped. Thanks dr Dana 😊😊
Reminded me of that spongebob episode 😭 when Gary got that thing
I thought it was blood squirting at first 😂 i had one half that size in my hand before
I thought it was a rusty nail the first like second it came out 😂😂
I had a similar really nasty splinter, but the chunk of wood was too wide to not notice how bad it was. Got it from running barefoot of an old balcony.
I threw my iPad when I saw this
That's not just a splinter. That's the tree
That’s not a splinter that’s the whole entire tree
That’s a whole tree😂😂😂
Holy moly 🫡
That's a whole entire stick because of how long that thing is
That's the whole tree
Ah yes, the devil's toothpick
Nah thats some five nights at Freddys shit😂
don’t kick trees because the hole thing could get stuck in your foot 😂
That’s the whole fucking tree
JFC 😮 THATS SCARED ME
That is not a tree it’s an entire forest💀
It looks like it was a pine needle
In like middle school or somthing i got a pencil top stuck in the middle of my palm as i grew older the skin covered it and right now its still visible💀
I actually jumped and almost fell off of my chair when it came out like that! I didn't think it was gonna go straight up, I just thought it was some more blood that was gonna go down the side or smth
Ye was probably walking barefoot and a loose oeice of wood decided to break off in his foot, it's right below his big toe so it was definitely one of those "in the moment" kinda thing where you just aren't looking or expecting. No clue how he walked around with it in his foot long enough for new skin to grow around it
God, I thought that was blood coming out for a second
WHAT DID BRO STEP ON-
