Many thanks for allowing me to walk down memory lane. I used to live just outside Norwich and used to visit Diss regularly to do my shopping. Great walkabout - thanks!
What an enjoyable journey round Diss finishing with ice creams. You passed a wool shop. I shouted please go in and let me see what it’s like😂 Not the sort of quiet sound you would expect in a Church. Maybe she was rehearsing for concert. . I love these town walks.
Hi Richard & Julia, great little meander through Diss. It really is a lovely town, looked like some nice shops as well. Great way to end the video with an ice cream...really looked delicious. Have a wonderful rest of the week! Thank you so much, take really good care. Kathy x 🌺🌸💖
Hi Richard and Julia, thank you for a really enjoyable and interesting video. The Mere looked wonderful as did those ice creams -they looked totally yummy! 😊
All the notes BUT NOT NESSASARALY IN THE RIGHT ORDER!!! We went over 2 years ago and the Chinese gave us a huge helping of chips which lasted 3 days. We of course headed for Bressingham and played trains all round the gardens there. All part of a week of camping in the car. We even managed 4 beaches between the trains. Love David and Lily.
I'm so glad I came across this video, as I grow up in and around Diss from the early 60's until I moved away in the late 80's, and have many happy as well as sad memories of Diss. I was unaware the nature trail existed, so cant wait to visit Diss again to explore it. Lucky I live in Norwich now so not to far to travel. Loved your video guys, P.s Diss has changed a lot since my childhood.
Thank you both for a lovely tour of Diss it looks such a delightful place to visit, and the roads less noisy than the last video you filmed , and the ice-creams looked so yummy ☺
Only just watched this video. I don't usually comment but have to say what a lovely couple you are and a very heartfelt thank you for coming to East Anglia it was so appreciated. Hubby and I go to Diss with the grandchildren but have seen the other side of the mere but never been over there it is quite fascinating.
You are probably far away by now but please visit Walsingham if you get a chance. Lovely little village and a famous pilgrimage for Anglicans and Catholics alike!
Great stuff you guys , this is your best channel by far . I think Julia is turning into a liability 😂 good job she isn't on the boat 😮 . Thanks for sharing it with me .
We go to Diss often, I love it, we always use the car park, (near the kiddies playground) and walk across the grass, to where the lovely Mere is, still here since the Ice age, then we wander to a lovely fabric/furniture shop a cafe inside a book store that looks over the Mere..If poss. go to the museum, (check opening times,) I've a very comical place mat, from there, titled The Norfolkmans Map of The Worlde..
My late grandmother was born in diss, and had many relitives in lowstuff and yarmouth, heathersett and kingslynn and hunston in my youth. Richard flint comes mostly from thetford and grimes graves.
The information centre is in the Corn Hall. You missed the interior of he Corn Hall, the major place for events and films and theatre productions in Diss, with an art gallery upstairs! I love in Diss. Thank you for letting me see it with new eyes!
Isn't the "Diss Meir" supposed to be a much smaller replica of the Sea of Galilee, and the bend in the walk way is supposed to be the exact spot where the lord Jesus was seen to be walking on the water?.. I think I heard it somewhere!
Grew up in diss from '80-2000. Not changed much except for the businesses. Should've gone down bottom of Mere street to the Meres Mouth and feed the ducks.
You all be careful Pay attention to the moment Continually We care about you I appreciate learning more about England. I never knew there was a place called Diss
Well this is just brilliant. Stumbled across this as we are thinking of moving near to Diss. What a charming couple you are.(Loved the piano playing).

Richard flint comes mostly from thetford and grimes graves.
Very enjoyable! and the ice creams look great value!!!
Diss looks lovely 🌹😍
How bizzare, I was in Diss on monday/Tuesday. It's pleasent there, but local villages there like Eye and Hoxne are stunning.

That chip van is ace near Spice Cottage, been there years and always a queue. And so is Spuce Cottage.👍

Is there a Diss Information Centre? 😊
Oh goodness, how did we miss that corker! There MUST be one in Diss and we SHOULD have found it 😆🤦🏻♀️💜

Was literally in Diss with the family on Monday! Bad timing- we could have said hello!
Ahh the simple things. Not you two; rather a wander around and an ice-cream 🙏❤
Strange place. Strange people. Subscribed.
That water body is like a mirror 😂
You should have gone on a Friday morning, they used to have an excellent auction, no doubt still do

the church clock will be right twice a day
Sounds logical that ships timber would be recycled into houses as sea peoples "a viking" settled on land.
My town!
Nice
Wonderful place to live for anyone who can't pronounce the TH. Must be full of Irish, No?
That 'noise' was Chopin

An England where men can wear a cravat without irony! Bill
you will get in trouble if you try to diss diss lol
Inane
Why did you make that old lady move out of YOUR way? Are you serious?
The piano in the church sounds horrible.
come on, that place isn’t lovely at all. it’s even more miserable than Kings Lynn. which is massively depressing to drive through 🤣
Haha," I need to touch the timber has other meanings".🤣
I'd have said 'wood' in that case 😆💜
