    The glow of the flames along with the water behind them, makes it look like lava spewing up. Destructive and beautiful.

    For a long time Ladder 62 seems it was just there to display its pretty blue lights. I'm sure they had their reasons.

    @10:45 - I don't know what that man was pounding on, but it doesn't matter - he had very little protection, so he was not safe there, with all that glass falling - look what it did to that hose. I'm surprised he was not ordered to move. Edit: @12:50, it seems that he was being warned and that he did move away.

    Are you kidding me, a firefighter (boss?) smoking a cigarette at a working fire????? Good job as usual Skyler, but I couldn't watch the rest after I saw that cigarette! Thank God FDNY has more discipline. Hope all residents are OK! 😡

      Smoking a cigarette isn’t the worst act in history. But just a handful of decades ago, smoking was considered a normal activity in most every setting. From flying intercontinental jumbo jets to the delivery room of major hospitals, it was a common sight. Smoking marijuana is now more socially accepted than cigarettes in clown world.

    Typical fire for mt Vernon I remember years ago back in the 70s I think we got called in on the 4th alarm fire was at 1st st and 1st Ave at least 6 buildings was nothing stopping it till it ran out of buildings cause of balloon construction

    Kind of looks like the out of town chiefs are working from a different game book. They need to working with the IC. A lot of face to face, this leaves the troops in the dark....

      I appreciate the work you all do covering these jobs. I have 36 years in the fire service. I understand low manpower. It does seem like little to nonwater is flowing from handlines while elevated master streams are being set up. Of course. My only view is from you camera. Be safe.

    The old building , fire in the basement or lower , goes apes$ hit up inside runs . Never know where it will show the Devils face . that sure was a hand full of a fire to deal with.

    Is your smoking habit that bad that you can't wait a few hours.
    That was the first thing I noticed.
