I bleached my hair and regretted it instantly. I’m looking for videos like this and I mean this was perfection!! I’m going to get this exact box and hope for the best.
Here’s a little backstory: I bleached my hair Nov. 23rd of 2019. Then I decided to dye my hair back black February 26th of 2020 (this is what you see in this current video). I left my hair black for awhile and didn’t notice any fading until about 4-5 months afterwards, but it wasn’t noticeable. My hair was completely healthy after this. I didn’t experience any shedding, my hair was growing etc. So…fast forward, September 16th 2020 I decided to dye my hair burgundy. THEN, I dyed it back black a month later. That was the last time I dyed my hair. So, in December of 2020 I gave myself a “mini big chop” because dying my hair back to back without properly treating it those last few months caused my hair to thin out. I also wore a lot of protective styles during that time and didn’t take care of my hair underneath. That was completely MY fault. 2021 I was pregnant so I tried to just let my hair grow. If you watch any of my recent videos you’ll see what my hair looks like today! 💕 I know this was long lol, but I know a lot of ppl are afraid to take that risk of dying their hair so many times. If you take care of your natural hair (deep conditioning weekly, hot oil treatments, etc.) you’ll be good ❤️ Don’t neglect those curls! Dying your hair won’t make you bald the next day lol (unless you accidentally added Nair lol jk) so just do it 💕
Hi guys , if your hair is bleached to a lighter blonde more blonde than orange , you should actually dye your hair a copper or orange color first to add the warmth in or else it may turn green . The color won’t have the nice depth of black or Brunette that you want. I learned the hard way LOL

My natural hair looks exactly like yours same color and black grown out roots😭ever since I bleached it I noticed my hair was dryer & I missed my black. Soon as I take this wig off I’m going back black 😂❤️
I have a question, I’ve bleached my hair a couple of months ago and decided I wanted it black again I threw a “jet black” dye over it and now every so often the color dies out and becomes a green. Do I have to use that exact same product to keep black in my hair so I won’t have to keep dying my hair every month or so?
Sorry this is so random but I read the beginning of your sentence, “I have a question” then I thought of the viral tik tok “and don’t get mad at me cos I know how you girls like to tussle” 😂
P.S. Please go to a professional stylist to fix your colour issue. You probably end up paying less in the long run. Play around and end up having to shave your hair off.
Most likely it turned green because the dye you used had blues in the black. When you bleached your hair it probably still had yellow shades in it which why it turned green ( blue+yellow=green). I know your comment is old but I suggest adding a red or orange base to keep it from fading into green.
When I did mine instead of using a blow dryer I just put a plastic shower cap over it for the 20-30min after application. Wish I would’ve filmed myself. I dye mine frequently. The beginning made me miss my blonde!
I really wish I could help and give you the best answer, but I’m not an expert with locs ☹️ Have you tried to use any products to lift the original hair color before dying it? That might help.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend bleaching your hair. Since the dye is dark, you should be able to fully cover the green. Apply a generous amount of hair dye
I am going to stick to black hair for good because every time I've dyed it my curl pattern changes and it gets extremely dry.. even with me keeping it moisturized and conditioned. My hair absolutely hated my blonde color.
I’m personally against relaxers lol so I would say no, but if you’re choosing to relax your hair then do that first and wait at least 3 weeks to dye your hair afterwards. Hope this helps ❤️
Bleaching does damage your hair if you’re not taking the necessary steps to take care of it/ prep it before bleaching. I’m not sure how damaged your hair is, but healthy hair is better than length. If you feel like dying your hair again will eliminate your curls, then I suggest gradually cutting your ends until the damage is gone and taking care of your hair before deciding to use dye again. This is just my preference and you don’t have to wait to dye your hair if you don’t want. I can just tell you’re worried about your curls and I don’t want you to do something you’ll regret later on. Hope this helps 💕
my hair was ginger i dyed it jet black 3 weeks ago and it started to show up ginger in some parts, maybe cuz its bleached before but more you dye it black it will be more long lasting
On Sunday (April 26th) I used the creme of nature honey blonde hair dye , and I really don’t like the results so now I want to go back to black , how long should I wait and do you think it would be to harsh on my hair ? btw the jet black looks great 🥰
@taryn3 thank you ❤️ & wait at least a week, you don’t want to completely damage your hair by dying it back to back. During this week, make sure you’re taking extra care of your hair (moisturize, deep condition, etc.). Only you know how healthy your hair is to determine when it’s safe enough to dye it again so just be careful.
i bleached my hair 2 months ago & i regret it so bad . my hair started breaking off and i had finally cut all the bad ends & im now dying it back dark. 😔
Omg ☹️ I had a similar experience. I regretted bleaching my hair too and I also dyed it again afterwards. I had a lot of dead ends, but it’s ok to start over! I recently just did a big chop and it was so freeing! ❤️ good luck love!
I got this hair dye that was sopost to make my hair black and it didn’t even change the color only some peace’s of hair changed but the rest still blond
please help me 😂😭 my hair wasn’t like a jet black it was like dark brown before i dyed it honey blonde but i want to go back to it should i just dye it jet black? or the darkest brown??
If you’re trying to achieve the dark brown color, then definitely use the darkest brown color to dye it. Jet black will more than likely make your hair black.
young X tentacion yes you can. I’m not sure how light your hair turned out, but you can get it back to a darker hair color using permanent hair dye. It may not be the same as your natural hair color from before, but it will be darker. Hope this helps!
Wait a few weeks, up to a month at least. When I used to get perms, I had a friend dye my hair and I waited a few days and got a perm. My hair completely broke off! Just be cautious or seek professional help.
I didn’t use any products prior to dying my hair, but I used the Aussie shampoo and conditioner (can’t remember the exact kind) to wash and condition my hair after dying it. Then I used the kinky curly knot today afterwards.
I'm dyingy hair jet black 🐈⬛ 🖤 today I don't wanna see no blonde anymore min but black I'm tired of blonde I always wanted jet black like gothic jet black yess.
It’s box dye love. I’ve been dying my hair with box dye for years. I went to a professional one time and they ruined my hair so I just feel more comfortable doing it myself. I definitely recommend watching more videos like this one so you can get an idea of what to do! ❤️
i have a question i've tried google and im getting no answer:/ but i'm wondering if i can use this on my hair when i just used dark and lovely 365 hair lightener in my hair the hair lightener came out bad and i don't know if i can do this or not hopefully you can tell me
I wouldn’t recommend dying your hair back to back. Lightener does contain bleach of some sort, so adding more hair dye and chemicals on top of that bleach could cause severe hair damage. If you are trying to darken your hair, just wait. Take care of your hair as much as possible (deep conditioning, etc.) for as long as you can. I’d give it a month. Hope this helps!
I actually don’t really touch up my hair. I usually just dye it one color and leave it as is, but with black hair dye it starts fading in my head after about 6 months.
No I haven’t. I will admit that my hair has started to fade but for the most part it’s still black. It’s not that vibrant jet black color anymore, but it’s still black.
this will be my first time dying my hair...I'm confused. Will the hair dye last 8 weeks and just go back to my regular hair color (I'm doing dark blue btw) or will it stay like this for a while? I'm a little hesitant and nervous.
Eileen Exama the color will last for longer than 8 weeks because this is a permanent hair dye. After 8 weeks, the color might not be as vibrant and could become dull but the color will remain the same. Hope this helps! ❤️
recently dyed my hair jet black. would it be normal to be shedding loads afterwards or is their a reason behind it? also has it happened to you? how have you fixed it? thanks you x
N I personally didn’t experience that much shedding. Shedding can be caused by many factors. Try searching certain methods to reduce shedding such as using the black tea rinse method on wash days. Also, keep in mind that curly hair will shed. I’ve had to accept this concept and cope with it. As for me, my shedding comes from dry, tangled hair. Hope I answered your questions, feel free to ask me anything else.
Hey honey! I just looked at your hair in your most recent video and it looks like your hair is shorter than it was here (or must've the same). Did the hair dye have any negative effects on your hair??
No it didn’t have any negative effects. This video is two years old and I’ve gone through postpartum hair loss/shedding since then. I also dyed my hair red then black again in a short period of time since then as well. All of those factors have caused damage and I had to cut my hair as well. Hope this helps!
@@adeshiabriana okay thanks so much boo! Postpartum did the same to my hair also. But I'm happy to know that the dye didn't do anything. I really just wanted to know about that specific brand hair dye that you used in that video. Thanks again! 💕 I appreciate your response.
Can someone please clear my doubt... I now have bleached blonde hair.. and I want my hair to be black again which is my natural hair colour... if I now dye my hair black, will the black dye fade gradually and my hair turn to blonde again?! because I doubt that the black dye won't be permanent and gets faded... what if the black dye fades and i get the blonde colour again?! I don't want my hair to be blonde now...
Hey! This hair dye is semi-permanent. It did gradually fade over time, but I didn’t notice the fading until a few months afterwards. When the color was fading, it was just dark brown (looked black from a distance) in certain areas. I also wash my hair weekly. I really hope this helps! 💕😊
I looked at the ingredient list on the box dye, it contains cream developer and hydrogen peroxide which is used to basically lift the cuticle layer of hair for the dye to take. I didn’t see anything about actual bleach. Hope this helps!
@@adeshiabriana okay thank you, I got dyed my hair red in december and got it straightened yesterday and my beautician recommended me going back black because of how damaged my ends were so I’m trying to consider into doing that. so it’s best to dye your hair black with dry hair and leave it in for a few mins then wash it? what kind of conditioner and shampoo products do you recommended, she told me to use some intense leave in conditioner but idk what brand works best for me

it faded for me after like 5 washed ngl
Thank you for this answer! I would definitely agree. Although everyone’s hair is different, it would eventually fade after 5-10 washes.
my hair was ginger i dyed it jet black 3 weeks ago and it started to show up ginger in some parts, maybe cuz its bleached before but more you dye it black it will be more long lasting
Only you know how healthy your hair is to determine when it’s safe enough to dye it again so just be careful.
adeshiasims thanks
@taryn3 I just did that to my hair. How did it turn out when you dyed it back to black?
did you have to re touch it up since you did this?
No, for the most part my hair was still black after about 6 months.
i bleached my hair 2 months ago & i regret it so bad . my hair started breaking off and i had finally cut all the bad ends & im now dying it back dark. 😔
have you died it yet? i go next thursday
Omg ☹️ I had a similar experience. I regretted bleaching my hair too and I also dyed it again afterwards. I had a lot of dead ends, but it’s ok to start over! I recently just did a big chop and it was so freeing! ❤️ good luck love!
So it didn’t turn green ? How long have you had this color in they say the newer the blonde the more likely it will turn green
Hi please do you have to dye your hair first?
No, you don’t have to
how do i mix the products ?
Hey love, the instructions should be included in the box dye. Hope this helps!
I got this hair dye that was sopost to make my hair black and it didn’t even change the color only some peace’s of hair changed but the rest still blond
Sorry to hear that! I hope you were able to find a better solution to dying your hair love ❤️
please help me 😂😭 my hair wasn’t like a jet black it was like dark brown before i dyed it honey blonde but i want to go back to it should i just dye it jet black? or the darkest brown??
If you’re trying to achieve the dark brown color, then definitely use the darkest brown color to dye it. Jet black will more than likely make your hair black.
@@adeshiabriana thank you!!
Will this work with red hair? My red is like a dark red
Yes, I’ve also used this dye on my red hair
How did you get your hair curly?
I used the kinky curly knot today leave in but my hair is natural so with any product my hair will curl up.
LOVED THIS!
Very beautiful I can't wait to dye my hair jet blue thanks for sharing have a blessed day today in our Lord God Almighty savior Jesus Christ bye
My hair is the exact same colour rn (before it was black). Hopefully it turns out as solid as yours.
Did it work for you????
@@xyraxiomara4202 yes!
How is the health of you hair ?
I have a question so I dyed my hair with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and I was wondering if a can get my natural black hair back ?
young X tentacion yes you can. I’m not sure how light your hair turned out, but you can get it back to a darker hair color using permanent hair dye. It may not be the same as your natural hair color from before, but it will be darker. Hope this helps!
How did you get the colored hair first?
Jasmine Hamilton I bleached my hair with 40 volume developer & BW2 powder bleach.
How long did you leave your blow drier over it??
About 10-15 mins, but you can definitely just quickly run the blow dryer over your hair one time on a high heat setting or sit under a hooded dryer.
Your video was helpful.i was looking for a good hair dye for 4c hair type and I found your video.🥰🥰🥰
is this safe too do if you have blonde highlights too ?
Highlights aren’t as risky as your entire head of hair, so yes I believe it’s safe for highlights.
Can you use this with perm relaxer or will it take my hair out ?
Wait a few weeks, up to a month at least. When I used to get perms, I had a friend dye my hair and I waited a few days and got a perm. My hair completely broke off! Just be cautious or seek professional help.
Does the black fades out??
@@louisabah101 eventually yes
So how long does this brand last without fading
My hair started fading months later. Like 4 months afterwards. Hope this helps! ❤️
Did u rinse with just water???
Yes, and then I washed my hair with shampoo.
How long does it take to dye it back if you just died it and you don't like it?
I would wait at least a month so you’re not damaging your hair with the constant use of chemicals.
Did you set ur dye under the dryer?
I used a hand held blow dryer, but I didn’t use a hooded dryer. I hope this helps!
Did it stay black or you have to constantly dye your hair?
It did start to fade after a couple of months, but I didn’t dye it again. My natural hair color eventually started to grow out and I did trims.
What products did you use?
I didn’t use any products prior to dying my hair, but I used the Aussie shampoo and conditioner (can’t remember the exact kind) to wash and condition my hair after dying it. Then I used the kinky curly knot today afterwards.
@@adeshiabriana thank you💕 what about the products used to dye ?
You're pretty and both hair colors look amazing on you. 😄😊
can i deep condition my hair after washing the dye out ??
Remy yes! Please do to keep the moisture love
Adeshia Sims okay cool :) thanks for replying !!
I'm dyingy hair jet black 🐈⬛ 🖤 today I don't wanna see no blonde anymore min but black I'm tired of blonde I always wanted jet black like gothic jet black yess.
Yes! I’m in love with jet black too! I wish my natural hair color was already jet black lol
Did your hair turn green
No, thankfully it didn’t.
is this considered box dye making it bad for the hair or will I still be good?
How often do yo have to touch up your hair?
I actually don’t really touch up my hair. I usually just dye it one color and leave it as is, but with black hair dye it starts fading in my head after about 6 months.
Thank you! How long did you wait to dye it black after you dyed it the first time?
@@regentemyers9967 lol I think I misread your question. I waited at least 3 months before dying my bleached hair black.
No you answered it correctly. Also, what color does the black fade to when you need to re dye it?
@@regentemyers9967 a darkish brown color.
Did you ever have to dye it again ?
No I haven’t. I will admit that my hair has started to fade but for the most part it’s still black. It’s not that vibrant jet black color anymore, but it’s still black.
Adeshia Sims Okayy.Do you have any Advice because my hair is bleached brown like yours and I want permanent black hair. Is this the best way to go ?
In my opinion, yes! This is the best way to go if you want black hair. I haven’t experienced any problems after dying it and it was easy to do!
Adeshia Sims thank youuuu this was really helpful ❤️. I also love your channel and it would be amazing if you could check out mine as well!
this will be my first time dying my hair...I'm confused.
Can you dye wet hair that's just been washed?
I’ve never done it before, but yes you can do it. Just pay close attention and make sure the dye is being applied evenly.
Your pretty asf girl & ya curls even more amazing 😏😍
I feel like with my locs I’ll need 3 😭 but I don’t trust myself so imma get a back up and get 4
😂 the more the better
I'm about to try the blue black by D&L
I know that’s going to be gorgeous! 😍
But dying my hair once in this video to jet black caused no damage.
@@adeshiabriana okay thanks so much boo! Postpartum did the same to my hair also. But I'm happy to know that the dye didn't do anything. I really just wanted to know about that specific brand hair dye that you used in that video. Thanks again! 💕 I appreciate your response.
@@naturalbeauty615 you’re very welcome! ❤️
i loveeeee itttttttt. omg
yessss.
Did this have bleach in it ?
I looked at the ingredient list on the box dye, it contains cream developer and hydrogen peroxide which is used to basically lift the cuticle layer of hair for the dye to take. I didn’t see anything about actual bleach. Hope this helps!
Was there bleach in there?
No bleach in the hair dye. My hair was just bleached prior to dying it.
@@adeshiabriana okay thank you, I got dyed my hair red in december and got it straightened yesterday and my beautician recommended me going back black because of how damaged my ends were so I’m trying to consider into doing that. so it’s best to dye your hair black with dry hair and leave it in for a few mins then wash it? what kind of conditioner and shampoo products do you recommended, she told me to use some intense leave in conditioner but idk what brand works best for me
@@anawanaaaaaa yes I suggest dying your hair back black and starting over. I always dye my hair when it’s wash day and it’s dry. Are you natural? If so, I really recommend using the mane choice Ancient Egyptian collection. Whenever my hair really needs some extra care, the mane choice never fails!
@@adeshiabriana yes I’m natural! What is this product called and how much was it?
@@anawanaaaaaa the shampoo and conditioner are called the mane choice ancient Egyptian anti-breakage & repair antidote. They’re on the pricey side, but it’s worth it. About $15 each. If you want something more affordable, I recommend trying African Pride moisture miracle products.
I use this box to go back black and my hair is still dry 😢 i been trying everything to moisturize my damaged hair .. any tips ? My hair has came out so much when it was bleached
Deep condition weekly, stay away from heat, or try hot oil treatments.
Did Your Hair Turn Green After Since You Bleached It?
No
Did it ever turn green???
Nope.
Some told me to buy to bottles. Lol oh well, looks like I'm only doing the front half of my head. I'll get to the back next time.
😂 this was me! I thought that 1 bottle would be enough bc I didn’t think my hair was that long or thick, but I definitely had to run to Walmart in my plastic cap! Lol
I used this box but it didn't change my hair at all
Oh noo, I’m sorry to hear that! Sometimes people get different results! Hope you find a better way to get your desired hair color ❤️
Looks amazing
did your hair turn green after words?
No it didn’t. When the color started to fade months later, it was more of a really dark blackish brown (only I could see it up close) but it was never green
Omg I love it! Thank you babes my hair is a #27 even tho I love the the light color on me I hate the dryness.😩 It's more expensive. From now on if I want color I'll get wigs lol I cant wait to go to the hair store (all the way from the Bahamas 🇧🇸)
I’m from the Bahamas 🇧🇸 too! Yess my hair is more dryer than ever and I don’t have time to constantly bleach it all the time
Thank you love! ❤️
Does this have bleach in it
Hello! It does have a cream developer which contains hydrogen peroxide, hope this helps!
@@adeshiabriana what about crème of nature have you heard of that
