I had wrote down my thoughts when I got my nose on this two weeks ago. I’ll go ahead and leave that here for whoever is interested: First thought: in that category of what Aqua de Gio Original would be in. ( Fresh, uplifting) When sprayed more than two times around me, I noticed a lingering, light -dark essence to it. The closer I try to look for these fresh scents, that dark component just catches my attention more when noticing. (Could be that oud note. ) On myself: I notice this dark, elegant, freshness thatt is beautifully inviting. The light dark note, is captivating. It definitely has a fresh, mature vibe. That beach, oceanic reference/ notes definitely have been present in the 1 hour mark. It smells inoffensive, and great!
Smelled this today on a paper strip at first, I was turned off to the smell but as I walked away and smelled other fragrances, I went back to the Tom Ford Oud Minerale. I sprayed some more on a paper sample and I took it with me. My wife of 37 years said the smell was ok. As I sit here typing this, I am already thinking about picking it up tomorrow. To make a long story short the sent grew on me.
This is actually the THIRD release of oud minerale, after the private blend version , they weakened it and put it in the resort collection which is the frosted prive blend bottles with a sticker instead of gold plack , like neroli portofino acqua was , it was removed and now the exact same juice is back in signature bottle and slighrly cheaper than resort collection, hope this explains

I loved this in the private blend, so when it got discontinued I was a bit upset. Flash forward it got re-realised in the signature line and I am so glad. It doesn't have the sweetness but it has the freshness and the damp wood. Think of a boat that got wrecked in the storm and a piece of if washes up on the beach....sea water, sea wood, sea salt and water soaked argawood (oud).
I really like the bottle and the scent is underrated imo. It’s a pretty good scent. Btw YSL Y L’ Elixir coming out: Lavender & Geranium up top, Incense in the mid and Oud in the base. Big change in direction!

The lady at Dillards about fainted when I sprayed it on my hand the same way u just did. She was specifically instructed to spray it in the air and to brush the tester strip through the air rather than directly spraying 🤷🏼♂️ I like it alot. Best applied in a dusting fashion vs a showing manner ✅🫶💯
Off my skin, the picture I get is a stone coast with seaweed and moss on the rocks as the ocean water evaporates off the rocks under the summer sun. I agree it is unique but the downside will be I don’t think it’s will be versatile.
@@rottenrebels I have the Costa Azzura Parfum and the Private Blend and I feel the parfum kinda replaces that sea salt and driftwood note that I love in the original with citrus. Not as familiar with the EDP version. That being said I still enjoy the parfum as it’s different than most other citrus or aquatic freshies.
Tobacco Oud is WICKED! It's weird though because I think it was supposed to have been discontinued, but I still see it on different sites so I don't think they actually did. Could be wrong though 🤷♂️

Im SOOOO Happy TF relaunched This my ALL Time FAV TF EVER it was discontinued then went to a resort line then GONE I have never had more compilments ever that TF Oud M. I just ordered through Shoppers Drug Mart So excited which is the point of Fragrance 🙂
To me it has marine vibes similar to ADG Profondo, but then the oud brings out a nice difference, and the quality overall is much better than ADG Profondo.
You broke it down quite well, I think. Having a bottle of the private blend, I do find slight differences, the certain murkiness/darker edge in the private blend is softer here but to be frank the difference is very slight to my nose. It's always been kind of the underdog of the TF line, I find. It's not too dirty but just enough to get you noticed. It won't be unanimous but you *will* get noticed. Now if they could bring back Plum Japonais... 🤞

I picked up the funky at opening, get some ashes and taste them. That is the funkiness I get, it is a mature aquatic but not fully aquatic it is toned down not like a profondo type. It is clean fresh salty encapsulated in woods. Niche clean fresh for sure, upscale, it is a money type of scent. Getting off your yacht walking on white sand on your private island, walking into your expensive bungalow. Sunset at the beach having dinner outside. Good performer for sure but like you said not beast mode. I really liked it hopefully I will get a bottle in the near future. Not made for every nose but very acceptable on the drydown. If you like ombre leather you might like this one.
Sounds like an interesting fragrance - I've heard of it before, but only as part of the Private line. It has an iconic following. I'll have to get my nose on it.
I just tried this. If feels so ocean, sand, sea grass, and dessert. I really love the fresh air and aromatic scent. It feels like you are wealth and classy. I really like it. I can see layering this with other fresh frags I have or stand alone. I have BR540 extrait and can see adding a spray of BR540 to this

When you have many fragrances in your collection this is something different which you would like to own. Definitely i will buy a bottle.
Finally after one week of wearing, my rate pass at 9,5/10, because more I smell more I like, I receive compliments everyday, my netx parfum will be ombre nomade, but the TF will be my number one spring parfum
Bought it last weekend. Great fragrance, reminds me a bit of Costa Azzurra Parfum. Have that one too. People on Fragrantica calls it strange and artsy but it's not. I think it's easy to like. And the bottle is beautiful!
It truly is a bit funky, but I really love the scent. Strange thing though, this lasted way longer when I got it tested some weeks ago than what I bought. The one I got on tester radiated off my hand after several hours but now I barely get to smell it, unless I've gotten completely anosmic to it.
Thanks for sharing! Testers in stores have been used quite a bit. Fragrances can often change (sometimes a little, sometimes a lot) with a bit of usage. You might experience changes in the scent after you used for some time. This happens to me quite often (but not always) and it even happened in this video where that 1st initial spraying was quite different compared to the 2nd. It will most likely change a bit more with a few weeks of usage. Would be interesting to hear if you feel it changes after some time 😊
@@rottenrebelsGetting back to this 😂You were right. It projects way more having let it sit for several months. This creates a nice scent bubble when I sprayed it on my neck. I could smell it until the end of my shift and it keeps me in a good mood. Definitely love it way more now
I get leather and aquatic on my skin I’m def gonna go back and buy it I think this is better than the leather ombré because the leather is too strong on that
@@rottenrebels actually I have about 8 Tom Ford fragrances and I think Oud Minerale 2024 is 8/10. I would highly recommend this as a fresh funky and daily perfume.

I hated the resort collection, especially the bastardised version of Oud Minerale. Not a patch on the OG.

The ambergris is giving an animalistic feel. At first I didn’t like it, but it has grown on me. In the dry down I can smell grapefruit 😊
It smells very nice but for me it smells too designer for Tom Ford.

Nope it’s beast mode right here. The only perfume i got whiffs over and over and all day long with Elixir sauvage but I prefer TF

The old version of it, I’ve heard it described as: middle of the Pacific Ocean, moody, stormy nautical vibe! Aquatic, but not beachy
