After wearing it for 2 weeks the scent has changed on me, the sea weed notes smell smoother than when I first smelled it. People have told me they really like it, It’s grown on me and love wearing it
I took a chance and purchased it immediately after testing. I could smell it most of the day. Received lots of compliments. I agree it's probably not for everyone. Very unique. I wore it to work as well. Did good in a office setting so long as you dont spray on too much.
Good point, I guess it depends on where you work that'll make this scent work. I think a night outdoors when you're fresh and clean is where the magic happens. The day I bought it, I wore it on a date at a casino. The ladies were definitely looking back after walking past. Oud on my skin works better on a night when there's a little breeze.
My dillards didn’t have the Beau de jour in stock.. but sales lady recommended this scent.. I’m thinking about giving it a try on my next cologne splurge .. ❤😊.. thanks for the review dedrick ✊🏿
Man I’m glad there is finally reviews on this bad boy! A few weeks ago I seen it at macys and grabbed it but only seen article reviews and wanted to hear opinions. This is Interesting, I’m getting deep smoky & aquatic vibes when I wear it, and I 100% agree with you, this collides notes you wouldn’t necessarily think would pair the way they did in this 1 so perfectly in my opinion. 4 me it smells like a mixture of things but mainly burning aquatic fire wood stands out the most. U said leather which is interesting because there is some sort of note on there that reminds me of slightly a little leather. which adds even more of a suit and tie boss vibe to it. No comparison 4 Tom ford but the aquatic nature in this 1 reminds me a little of dolce and gabanna light blue intense but on a hell of a more mature level. This can definitely wear u if not worn properly! Great review brotha , appreciate it
@@dedrickhicksjr have you worn or have any brief opinions on Tom ford Grey Vetiver ? I’m looking for another daily runner but not sure if I can sport this everyday without it getting to niche feeling. Appreciate u brotha ,
This bangs!!! At first i didnt like it, and i still kinda dont like the opening but after 45min-an hour for me, its a banger, and the og private blend is even better i dont have that but my pops does. I had a sample of this and just purchased a full bottle
Just tried it in store today if I have to sum it up it’s someone in a dark designer suit, with custom shoes, wearing a Rolex Just date that classic, and in his pocket is the Keyes to a Massarati
I sampled this at my local Nordstroms and off my skin it reminds me of when my dad took us kids to Galveston. We would stand on the rocks as the ocean water crashed into them. It’s a hell of a scent memory especially since he’s no longer with me but I can’t imagine paying that type of money to smell like salty, mossy ocean beach rocks in that Texas summer heat. I also agree with you I have no idea when I would wear this outside those times Pops is on my mind.
I discovered this about a month ago at a mall. Questioned it but left without it. Next weekend wekt back and grabbed the big bottle. For me, this is a date night fragrance or a night out where the wind blows lightly. For me, this is not a daytime fragrance. It will catch people's attention. Each side of the neck and back of the hands and you'll be fine. Oud, Woody, smokey masculine. Great review Sir.
Just found your channel and subbed off the back of this. I blind bought it which was somewhat foolish as I hated the smell of it on the initial spray but can’t get enough of it on the skin. It’s certainly an unusual fragrance and one that I’m not sure I’d buy again but can certainly enjoy in the right setting
I love the new Tom Ford oud minerale it has this vacation on the beach vibe I'm thinking about buying another bottle just to make it my spring and summer signature scent
I just smelled oud minerale a few days ago before i watched this video. When me and my brother were discussing it and what it smelled like, i said that it smells like a very memorable chill night on a cruise. So when you just said that in this video i was like YOOOO EXACTLY
Makes me wonder if there's a difference wearing this at a beach or on a cruise rather than on land and away from water. I bet the seduction this scent gives near water is different. Good point of view sir
the strange scent you're reporting comes across, to me, as a rubber accord. It's dark, aquatic, rubbery, and fresh. It's quite the contradiction and yeah, super unique.
No salt, no sea, nothing like that. I bought it and it’s a mystery that I enjoy. It’s super subtle. Instead of Oud Minerale, I would call it Oud Mystery
I really enjoyed this upon testing it at a nearby boutique. Might get it this week :)) I'm just curious. To those who managed to smell the private blend version before it got discontinued, how much has it changed?
Apparently the first version was taken off the shelves because it contained chemicals that caused serious disease. Later it was re-released with a reformulation. Since then I’ve always approached TF with caution.
As a person of dark skin this smell like leather on my skin but I like this better than the leather ombré because on my skin it the ombré smelled like a leather jacket from 1983
Yeah, I had your same reaction when testing it last week. I liked 90% of the scent but I didn't like about 10% of it, but then again I actually liked the 10% because it was intriguing as to why I didn't like it. 😄 Definitely not an every day perfume, mostly worn during cold/chilly weather.
Agree too! I feel like this perfume gets inside your skin and starts performing, but in my case it lacks the sillage, 7-8 sprays and still people cant feel it
Not really a fan of this one honestly. I stupidly bind bought the small bottle from Sephora. I think it just smells ok at best and not worth the 155 bucks I paid for it. I also found it to be a really "mature" smelling fragrance and it just doesn't suit my vibe. thankfully Sephora allows returns if you've only sprayed it a couple times.

Luv the dry down of the tf. Smells great in the air others around u will luv the scent. it's different.
Gucci elixir is nice, but this one is different I imagine.

I have Ombré Leather, & love it!! How’s it compare to that?
2 totally different profiles… go 2 different directions I would sample first

Does it smell anywhere in the realm of Petrichor? Petrichor is the smell of the first summer rains when they meet the dry soil.
I’ve never smell that before..
@@dedrickhicksjr you should try one which has that fragrance. It is out of this world.
I found that it smells like hot breaks, like when you’re behind a semi truck going down a steep hill.
I got the 2020 version, i don't know what to make of it
It's much better worn... i know that sounds cliche...but it's waayyyy better on skin.

Tha excuses fragrance reviewers use for not testing the fragrances they are reviewing on their skin are absolutely ridiculous.
