Congratulations on the new bike man. It'll be best to find a parking lot and practice your throttle and clutch interplay. It eventually becomes muscle memory. Always gear up and make sure you're comfortable on the bike before heading out. Stalling in moving traffic could get you rear ended. Also get some drop protection for the bike just incase. The mt07 has lots of options online. 💪💪💪
You know what else has become muscle memory? Thumb on starter as soon as I stall 🤣🤣🤣 I've got it down to about half a second total. If the lights didn't dim from the current draw you wouldn't notice just by looking
Just bought mine 4 days ago and loving my mt -07 just the right amount of power. This is my second bike and it’s been 4 years since I rode but I’m glad I chose this bike. I have a black one as well but mine has a Yoshimura exhaust and it sounds so good. Good luck man and ride safe.
Congrats on that bike! Props for riding it home right after buying it, that had to be nerve racking, especially when you came to the 7:47 mark when you cut off in the middle of traffic! good job keeping cool! :) stay safe!
Congratulations on your new ride. I've never owned a motorcycle but at 50+ years of age I just bought my first. It's a brand new 2021 -07( storm Fluo) and it's been over 45 years since I sat on my uncle's Honda 125 dirt bike. So in reality I've never ridden before and I'll be losing my motorcycle cherry to my Yamaha. Ride Safe...
Man be careful out there someone might rear end you pretty bad, go to an empty parking lot and practice and stay safe brother. I sub you to see your progress 👍👍
Congratulations on your first bike. I took my mc-license on a mt-07 and suzuki 650 and the Honda rebel . I loved the mt-07 but was the bike that gave me most trouble with the clutch interplay of all the bikes I tried during my learning. U’ll get used to it soon though . Great video and thank you for uploading .
@@Alcides701 where do you live & how long is your wait..? i just put down 500.xx on a MT-07 yesterday.....April 15th 2022, dealer said it MIGHT be in by July or August....
@@stevegaines3590 Hey, I guess it depends where you are. I put my down payment about 3ish weeks ago. Absolutely nothing. BUT I am picky and asked only for the Raven Black model haha. (Austin, Texas)
I cringed so hard at the hill, and the car up your ass... I've been there. My best advice is to pull the throttle a little harder. Make sure to always be on 1st gear in hills and listen to your engine when it starts sounding sluggish drop the gear and up your throttle. Also 7:18 the Motorcycle-Code requires you always to nod or wave to passing bikers :) cheers
Get yourself to a carpark and practise, your road hygiene is very messy ! I would recommend watching Keith Code and learn the basics before you hurt yourself man, good luck !
So difficult to decide between the MT-03 and 07 as my first bike... I live in the US so the power on the 07 is unrestricted. I don't have any real prior long-term experience on motorcycles. This would be my first bike and I live in NYC so vandalism and theft is a real issue. Congrats on the purchase and any thoughts on my situation?
I'd go for an mt03 as its a lot more friendly due to the power be half of what it is on the mt07. Buy a second hand one and get yourself some decent kit and a disc lock and chain. There's no real rush to get a bigger bike as I live in the UK i started on a 125 and well let's say if I had the chance or chose to start on an mt03 I would of jumped at it. At the end of the day your probably go for an mt07, but as most fella have comented practice first if you can and get your motorcycle endorsement so you have a bit more confidence when getting started👌
I would go for the 03 man, it is more than enough power. Much cheaper, better to learn on, better for traffic since it weighs a lot less. You can always upgrade once you are confident!
Don’t cover the front brake while you’re on the throttle, especially if you’re a new rider. This can cause you to pull it to hard by accident if something comes up or something scares you, and you don’t want that front tire to lose any grip.

Ahhhh the old kickstand down when in 1st gear! I remember those days! xD Enjoy man!
Haha thanks my friend
It took me a month🤣🤣
We've all done it 😁
Some of us still do it... 😳

leaving the blinker on without knowing is the worst feeling, we all do it sometimes though. Stay safe
sad but true hahaha stay safe brother!
When I first started riding, the blinker being left on irritated me badly. So now, disengaging the blinker is part of my turning process.

Gotta ask, noticed your shifting was very rough atleast at first, too much throttle on the clutch let off?
