Just got done watching your video and felt like I just had to say thank you for putting together such a well-done informative and index video about several knives from a maker which I was actually interested in but had no real idea about until now so awesome thank you so much look forward to watching your others
I believe the isotope is using end cut red CF but it looks almost like wood which is very cool. Enjoyed the video 👍 JPV is why I buy his knives...not just the knives
I took a chance with Vero and got my hands on a Synapse XL, and I love it! Now after seeing this video i really want that mini as well! Sweet Review Jim!
I do like the belt satin blades, something about it, seeing those lines make it look industrial, mean, weathered look, I think those are the right words, that's what popped in my head.
I posted a picture of my three Vero models on a Facebook group that is totally unrelated to him and Joseph commented. He seems very genuine and as you say, it’s appreciated.
I personally like the rugged look for the natural micarta just feels warm with a good grip . I love a couple of the vero engineering knives so thanks for reviewing them I may have to get one since the price is affordable in my opinion
The Axon does have full titanium liners recessed into the micarta, they're skeletonized which is why its so light. Technically it's a titanium frame with micarta overlay, the structure functions even without the micarta
Absolutely correct. This is one of two things I only noticed as I reviewed the video after the upload. And even there, I was barely able to see them. Slim and recessed very well.
Never handled a Vero, but that clip looks like the best combination of a spring clip and a milled clip. I'm glad I watched this video. I would have bought the Isotope, but I think the synapse XL is probably the better choice. Pretty far down my "want" list either way, though.
Love the design choices and aesthetics. Looking forward to my Axon reserve order. Hoping to get a Synapse XL sometime soon, it's been my favorite design of his.
Great video Jim. A lot of these YT videos with multiple knives turn into a shit show. This was well organized, honest, and as usual, you did a great job breaking down every detail. As always can’t wait til the next one.
Holy smoke what a lot of modells coming out from China. And usually there is a lot of skilled makers. But is it just me!? Sometimes it lacks "soul" or is it me?
You forget that "soul" is one of the most subjective things in any product. In my experience, only two (production) knife companies put out models that consistently have "soul" and those are Spyderco and Maxace.
Saw where you shared your video on the fb vero group and had jump over! Great review man!
Love what Veros doing. Aesthetically pleasing designs for me.

My Gen 2 SYNAPSE is probably my favorite knife in my decent sized collection!!!
Me too. It’s such an amazing knife man.

Just got an Axon framelock. Pretty happy with her. I am waiting for an Axon linerlock. I keep missing there other drops. Too bad. I am pretty patient.

I definitely see the appeal

I've had my eye on these but I haven't tried to find one yet
Great video as always!

It was fun to see you talk about pry bars. You should do a vid on typical edc items you like to pair together. Write, light, slice, pry
Number 1 and 4 get my vote. I'd make some custom burl slabs for the latter. Nice looking products and representatives.

Another great video. It’s always important to me to hear your opinions. Honest and accurate…every time. 👊🏼🔪

What caliber does that pew pew use?
But what did you think of the Vero Synapse Xl? Seems like you never got back to talking about it.
No Impulse or Mini Impulse?
Hey Jim you should check out the Trm Atomic Ti

@@CNYKnifeNerd You are absolutely correct. It is highly subjective this "soul" thing...
