I love Albuquerque.. Love the weather, love the new mexican cuisine, love the vistas, the mountains. People are very friendly there. People are genuine. I might move there some day when I retire.

I remember coming over the crest of that big long hill from the west, at night. There, all of a sudden, is Albuquerque, spread out like a carpet of sparkling diamonds.

I’m an Okie, but call Albuquerque home since 1985. Best place to live in the country. Unless you want lots of water. The cold ain’t cold and the hot ain’t hot. Great weather. No tornados, no earth quakes, no mud slides, get a few fires along the river. A great place to live. No humidity thank goodness. Best Mexican Food any where. You can have red or green, but no brown like Texas and Oklahoma.

My dad is an Okie and he moved out in 1983 (I believe). I think he told me he came out here for an interview in the late 70's at Sandia but they rejected him the first time and he went back to OKC and worked for Burroughs (I don't know how to spell it). It's a computer company. And then he got more experience and came out again for the 2nd time, and they hired him. Then he met my mom (who was born here) sometime in 85 or 86. I'm not really fond of NM except for the food. I love the spicy food.

Well, even though I'm from and live here, I probably don't really agree. I can see why some people might like it but there's just not enough to do here and I suffer from allergies which might be caused by the dry climate. When I go to more humid states and countries across the Atlantic, it seems like my allergies dissipate.

@@StaticBlaster Its much nicer than El Paso!! I was there last month. Hard to drive around and kind of ugly.

I like all of Big Rif Travels Videos. He does not give you loud music, he talks a little and the only things missing is commentary on where is coming from and where he is going.

Last time was in April 2016as we eventually moved to California. Beautiful drive as it was the very first time of visiting the SW and California too.

@@calgary2800 Interesting. I thought Seattle would be a better place to live than ABQ. Plus, I legit have a song stuck in my head (which I like) by Owl City. It's called, "Hello Seattle."

Crossing the Rio Grande at 12:16. Starting up nine mile hill at about 12:30. I remember when Coors Road was the last road north off of Central. Took Coors NW for four years when I was at College of Saint Joseph on the Rio Grande. Today, the former college is Saint Pius X High School. I have to look to find the original buildings. Beautiful view of Albuquerque at night from the old Saint Joe's parking lot.Seems like just yesterday.
