Ani plays X-Men Ravages of Apocalypse (Part 2)

The 2nd level is a shit show. This is where they pull all the bullshit issues I had with the last episode. Pheonix, the Mines and not enough ammo and health. And worst is that there had to be two tough enemies again in the literal end of the map.
I go to the underground tech base and it's actually not too bad. It's not too hard to navigate, it's not bullshit or annoying to play through. Fairly balanced for the most part.
The mansion section was annoying but not pube pulling torment. The way to get the Quad Damage was shitty design though.
The 5th level is just fucking horrible. The way to get onto two lifts is level design contrivance, not enough ammo for all these X-Clones, there is a sewer you cannot escape from and it soft locks you, and I had to look up a guide which was why it took me long and why I stood around for so long. If I have to look up a guide on where I'm supposed to go, the level is not well designed. And I encountered a bug where the level itself fucking betrayed me and not only killed me but also threw me out of the entire map.
This game is so fucked up and buggy.
Eventually I got to where I wanna be and I was finally able to make it to Sinister. Had to find the ultimate weapon he had laying around in his underground hideout in a spot no normal player would ever notice and only then I could end this nightmare.
Dude was easy compared to Apocalypse which was anti-climatic. Confusing but not a pain in the ass.
This game is shit. Shit weapons. Shit level design. Shit enemies to combat. Honestly I wish this stayed as a fan game and I wish Marvel at least waited till either Quake 2 or Unreal came out before releasing a full 3D engine game. Only positive I will give are the character designs. The X-Men are apparently playable in only multiplayer which is another thing this game should've been. A multiplayer only game like Team Fortress. But yeah this game was dreadful and I do not wanna ever touch upon this game again. I only learned about this through Civvie 11 and it's weird cause even as a Marvel fan myself, I did not know this game existed. And it's obscure for a good reason.
But now that I have 45 Quake videos in total thanks to this playthrough, I shall be giving this marathon a rest. Especially after what I had to endure. What I got next I am unsure but I'll find something eventually.
