- Mr. Raghuvir Srinivasan, Editor of Business Line in conversation with Dr. Venkat Vangala, a scientist turned philosopher on ‘Tirumala - Kaliyuga Vaikuntam’. Dr. Venkat guided the audience by answering some of the very well-crafted questions like - Why is Tirumala known as Kaliyuga Vaikuntam? What are the protocols that the devotees need to follow while visiting Tirumala? Who are the Acharya purushas? Which Tirthams can be visited by an ordinary piligrim? Dr Vangala having meditated on the Tirumala hills for several years also spoke on some unknown facets of Tirumala which is not available to the public realm.
Dr. Vangala is a a PhD. from IIT Madras in Hetrocyclic Organic Compounds and a post doctorate from Oxford , he is a Sanskrit scholar and a polyglot (speaks 7 languages including Spanish and Latin) Dr. Vangala has read most of the Upanishads and is an expert in the vedas. He is based in Vishkapatnam and if he is not at home he can be found meditating in the Himalayas or the Tirumala hill ranges. A treasure house of knowledge, Dr. Vangala is an authority on many temples in the country especially Tirupati. He is widely travelled and has visited all the Vaishnavite Divya Kshetrams on earth multiple times.
