It always helps to have a small notebook and physically write down your important passwords, such as the master password to any password managers. For more security, use grid pages so you can write each individual character in it's own box and develop a simple formula that you then memorize in order to scramble the characters and unscramble them accordingly.

  • @ArnabDasOnGoogle
    @ArnabDasOnGoogle 13 дней назад +2

That's good actually!! It's very important that you store your passwords somewhere safe or at least remember those. I, everyday encounter such people who say I don't remember my google account's password!

I bought her a new Samsung phone and I transferred all of her data over using Smart Switch but on her old phone she wasn't actually even using Samsung Pass so I wanted to enable it on the new phone. The problem is she doesn't remember the password for her Samsung account and her recovery email was hacked a while back so she doesn't have access to that email anymore. My mom is 70yrs old and has a real problem remembering all the passwords for her struff, that is the reason why i wanted to enable Samsung Pass but we have no idea how to do it now.

He didn't forget his password... it asks him to enter his previous password.
Who even saves old passwords once you create a new one?
The company should notify the user when they click "change my password," for example, with a pop-up notification:
"Please save your old password, as in some cases, you will need to enter your old password to verify that it is really you."
      Back or Change my password
I'm on many, many websites, and I haven't seen this method of security anywhere!
Once you change your password and create a new password, you will never use your previous password again. This is why people don't save previous passwords once they create a new one.

As I wont forget the password is think it is my version of safe because this could be printed very quickly to have a physical note that could be placed in my safe with main note password, if they were to get in my safe i would probably be more concerned about staying alive.

But what is then the problem with skipping the recovery process and deleting the existing data?
Please be aware that the access to the data saved in Samsung Pass must also work if you were offline. But this wouldn't work if the password check needed acces to Internet. Therefore, you need a locally saved password (of course simply spoken because the actual password is usually never saved anywhere, just its hashvalue).

Only 2 passwords needed. Samsung and Google.
Backup phone externally to USB, and to Google1 using your Samsung and Google passwords respectively.
    It's not hard.
You can restore everything to any Sansung phone then. Even a different model.

This is not issue, we are living in digital world, it's just security these days. No backup on passwords, that's on You.

I think you turned on "enhanced data protection" from settings - privacy and security - more security settings - enhanced data protection - encrypt backup data"

I would just use another device to access my account info. But i saved the encryption code to be able to input it when needed.

Check your browser to see if you've previously logged into your Samsung account, likely using your primary Gmail account. You might be able to use the same password to log in to Samsung Pass.
It would be unfortunate if samsung account and pass uses different password because, samsung pass should be avaialble across devices like tablet, phone and laptops.

How can you forget your phones' unlock password? You had to use it every day.

Try using your other phone to check what your password is or go on the Samsung members app & ask them for help or go to wherever you got your phone threw & see if they can help

If u r using the same account in ur s23, then try to reset the password there, and then once it's successful, use that in ur s24 ultra. This way, this can be resolved if accounts are the same on both devices.
