This drunken guy portraits the actual situation in Kerala today. The moral degradation caused by alcoholism, especially among the less privileged sections. The main reason is the high wages in the state. Thanks to our communism and our visionary leaders who envisaged such a great future. When people are supposed to be lived up to 75-80 years, they have not even crossed their 40s in Kerala these days. If a Carpenter or Mason gets Rs.1200 at the end of the day, what else they can do with these kind of money? In addition, you gave them 35 kgs of free ration! They do not know what to do with the money they earned every, without doing much effort. The lazy becomes lazier. Despite its claim of being a progressive society with high social consciousness, the phenomenal increase of liquor consumption continues to be a serious malady afflicting Kerala, raising moral, political and economic concerns.
